Once upon a time i wanted the latest technology phone in the market...2012 la I bought a digital watch. Romba costly appo. Nowadays I don't want a phone that costs more than 7-8k. I have an analog watch now that costs < 1k.. En thevaigal romba korachikiten.
I have doubt sir ….let’s say there’s a stock (fr example ITC) which is giving good returns …dividend etc and you’re saying you had accumulated that stock at different price ranges from lowest to highest and also buying at tiffen coffee range …how much shares of that stock will give me good value over 10 years coz i own 50 shares of ITC at 464 average (how many of them have you owned and those who read the comments plz clear it for me :)
To my knowledge I will buy it until it reaches 10 percent of the portfolio... I mean I am kinda defensive, if the stock price goes up, cool... But if it falls the entire portfolio should not be affected.
There is no given number. U have to assess ur portfolio and allocate ur funds in the best possible. Make sure u r diversified. Keep buying and don't sell. Please do your homework.
Very good question. You can have 1000 of them and keep if for a decade. Also keep a watch on it if it's growing at a good pace and value and judge it for yourself
I have 440 shares of ITC and in still accumulating it because I still see value in the share. ITC will be spilt into a hotel company soon and ITC is a conglomerate which has Agricultural products, IT company, FMCG company etc
Discuss about indusind bank I have considerd indusind bank from 1350 to 980 with an average price of 1200. Now i feel considered indusind bank is danger. I considered because of the followings. ( close to book value, low p/e ratio when compared to peers, near 52 week low, technically it has bounced back after major falls in the past, reputed bank running for a long time, part of bank nifty, almost 40 percent corrected from the high) All these i felt positive and invested. But The promoter holding is too low about 17 percent and the promoter has sold 1 percent in last 2 years. 50 percent of the promoter holding is been pledged since 2 years. And not taken any action to recice the pledge quarter on quarter. Quarter and quarter gradually sold 1 percent and quarter on quarter increased the pledge and finally 50 percent pledged and no action the reduce the pledge. Since the promoter sells and pledge the shares i feel it a danger. Pls give me explanation and pls discuss about this

But can you say why .. we are long term investers so we are not going to withdraw anytime soon to calculate all those charges for transaction and currency conversion (all hidden charges) so why can't we invest slowly in tiffen coffee ranges in US too ...can we get a video on that .. atleast a short video
