Ian, you're a poet-- the look that bobcat gave you, the way you captured the dolphin's breath into the music. I'm blown away. I'll watch this many more times. Thank you.
Thanks Sonia! I love finding the epic beauty in nature. Here is my collection of nature films. you might like CinemaScope Summer :) ua-cam.com/video/reGHgWFVFgc/v-deo.html
Thanks Angie, I worked hard to find a balance with the natural sounds and the score. I'm glad you turned up the volume and were moved by the piece. All I could hope for. Thanks!
I'm at the Refuge almost every weekend ... you've done a beautiful job with a beautiful place. Thank you. Must say, though, I agree with the comment, below, about the music. Yours is beautiful on its own but don't think it, or anyone's, is the perfect accompaniment for nature photography. Something for artists to work on ....
Very lovely work, mate! As you seem to be one of the only people out there who owns/owned both the Bolex 16/32 and the 8/19, can you tell me a bit about how they compare to each other and to your other lenses? Cheers.
Thanks! The Bolex both have an organic vintage filmic look like from 60's and 70's. They also have very nice blue flare. The Kowa are sharper and can transform into whatever character your taking lens has. I've seen them look modern to like an 80's or 90's movie. They all have their place and own character. Monarch Butterflies was with Baby Hypergonar, Crabs with Bolex 16/32 and most everything else in this video was with Kowa Inflight 1.75x. Most macro shots were with Baby Hypergonar. I like them all but the Baby Hypergonar might be my fav.
I tried to incorporate the sounds of the birds and natural sound into the score. I also wanted the music to reflect the people who have lived among the nature many years before. I'm also a big fan of the wacky music of National Geographic films of the 1970's and 1980's :)
Amazing! I am blessed to live here (58 years) and you've captured it! Thank You!
Thanks for comment and I'm glad I captured some of the magic at St. Marks :)

Thanks. And CinemaScope!! Our wildlife deserves it.
BTW-- I think your soundtracks add to the experience. You get a lot of music out of that drum.
Brilliant!
Beautifully captured. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Hell yes. This is all so solid.
Very nice.
Thank you :)
Absolutely amazing work! I aspire to be at this level someday. You are obviously very skilled and patient.
Thanks for watching and kind words. I love it and yes patients is a must with filming nature or using anamorphic lens :)
I enjoyed the journey. I often turn down the music in videos but the combination of visual and musical editing was moving to me.

This is perfect.! Do I need to ask who did the drumming?
Well, I now see the credits at the end and not surprised. I am proud to know Ian!
That be me Link :) Thanks!
What kind of snake is that?
It's a Pigmy Rattlesnake Cody.
Great work; I do wish things like this left the music off tho.
Thanks Beka!
