The release is a key part of the golf swing as it delivers the power and squares the face. If you slice the ball then you need to do only two things to get back to straight:
1, Swing from the inside.
2. Release the club

Having just gone through some lessons for the first time in over 20 years, this is my exact problem. These look like great drills to add to my training. Great video. Thank you!
Thanks Matt. Good luck your swing change.
Release dependent on grip to some extent, i have a neutral hogan grip, would like to strengthen left hand but luckily golf has made me almost ambidextrous!
Problem with stick swishing is that its easy to do 1 handed, even left handed but a lot harder 2 handed so is it relevant
Problem with swinging clubhead in charge causing release is i dont do/allow this in any other sport ive been good at,admittedly most of the implements used are lighter than a swinging golfclub but thats why we sequence big muscles to help the arms handle the weight but still stay dynamically relaxed enough to release
Have done a lot of left arm only and right arm only swinging and hitting but Warning you have to be athletically strong to do this or you will injure yourself!
I never try to rotate face ( tho it usually does when i set up for a draw) But my left hand is throwing the frisbee (so some rotation) but my right hand is releasing down to square like throwing a ball down (so no rotation!) maybe they cancel each other out!
Im stupidly straight but only carry it 210,maybe thats the payoff for not releasing clubhead over
Great help with simple exercises to make swing more natural than trying to manipulate my swing.
Would be more helpful if you demonstrate these in the setup position, rather than standing upright.
