Milo - Your explanation of how to get into the delivery position (3:15) and how to get your hands from your hands over your right thigh to impact (8:50) has changed my entire understanding of what you have been teaching. My swing feels entirely different now. Wonderful job - again.
Hey guys, what you said at 1:04 blew my mind. I've been trying so hard to maintain as much width as possible but then it resulted in all of the symptoms that you mentioned. Absolutely phenomenal! I can't thank you enough. Ron
Thanks very much Milo and Henry. Probably by far the best illustration of before and through impact that I have ever seen. Pushing the front buttock behind and around through impact, rather than simply straightening the front leg is also emphasised by Mike Malasks. Much appreciated.
Amazing video, I watch every video you and Henry release and look forward to them. I have subscribed to your channel since you had 15k subscribers and now you have more than tripled that. Great to see your success and you are also on the top instruction list for Arizona on golf digest. You have transformed my game and hope I can get to see you in person for a lesson when I get out to AZ. Thank you Milo and Henry
I've watched many of your videos. What i liked about this one is the slow motion of Milo's actual swing (hitting the ball) through impact (P6 to P7). What i see there is not only what you comment on (the rotation while hands remain in front) but also the release. So the actual swing is less "severe" in terms of the holding off of release than it appears when you are shadow swinging. In other words the demonstration may be more one of "feel" (what we should try to feel when practising) than what happens through impact on an actual swing. That's an important learning point as if one holds off the release too long (even while rotating etc) one won't connect properly with the ball. The release still happens as is seen in the slo-mo. Thanks again.
Correct, however the release is more of a byproduct of the movement. I typically am not actively releasing it, only letting it go instead of holding it on. Depends on the shot a little, but hopefully that makes sense.
The online academy has helped me a lot. For years, i did all the things you should not do in a golf swing. The key is being patient and swing slow and gradually increasing speed and tempo. This definitely works.
@Milo Lines Golf thank you for the awesome online academy. I went to several PGA instructors in person and never got better. What you teach works. I can attest to that.
Milo, that Michael Block PGA Top 15 story should be an inspiration to all you blokes at Superstition Mountain. You all need to be competing and teaching. Your effort a few years ago when you had the most birdies and 3 doubles and 6 bogeys because of the grass should have driven you onwards. I haven't seen anything regards competitive golf from you and Michael Block proves it can be done.
Great story! I try to play a bit each year, but with a family, growing online academy, and devoting time to my in-person students, it has become less the priority for me.
Very advanced, well done. Also praise due for mentioning the “ unload “ of wrist angle through strike, these demos showing 45deg of shaft lean often lead us hackers down the wrong road. When my wrists unload the angle at the correct time.. it’s as if someone else hit the shot.. it’s so pure. 😀 Rarely happens ..
Can you do a video describing the pelvis going back and its relation to the right thigh? Its a general tip to say that the Pelvis goes back and you "Squeeze" the lemon. But how are the legs reacting? Is the weight put into the left hamstring in a squat? For someone trying to adopt this pattern but needs a more in depth analysis. I feel like the right shoulder still goes out in an over the top.
Milo this fantastic. But there is something I have doubts with: I always thought you would require some LEFT PELVIC TILT during transition. But here it actually looks like you have RIGHT PELVIC TILT in transition. Could you clarify. Thank you
I love the idea of a more dynamic athletic move as I played baseball as a young man. I’m 57 in decent shape but I had a surgery at the L4 L5. Is this swing easier on your lumbar spine?
We like to think that the swing we lay out is safer on the body, but each person may need their own specific modifications. Therefore I always suggest working with people online through our academy or in person so I can best help. Offering advice through a UA-cam comment is tricky.
When students first get used to moving closer to the ground in the downswing do you see a lot of tops and fats until the student gets used to how much to bend and lower the body?
@@MiloLinesGolf Aaah ok . Thanks . Mine is older without wheels and it's the aluminum they don't make anymore . Very good to learn the plane . Thanks for the fast response sir
Hey guys, I’m finding I’m hitting a lot of fat shots, but when i hit it well, I crush my irons. I love learning how to swing the way you teach. Do u have any suggestions for the fat shots?
Thank you for the video, this is PRECISELY the part of my "swing" (I use the term loosely) that I have been working on. I have (almost) literally been wearing out my iPhone taking videos trying to get into the positions you are talking about. It is maddening to try as hard as I can to keep rotating my body through only to look at the video to see my arms slowing down and the shaft turning from forward lean to leaning backward, somewhere at my right hip. Even if there is pronation coming into delivery my arms will slow down, resulting in that ugly shaft lean backward. This does NOT happen without a ball, and I've read that it can be due to the head being open as you approach impact; i.e. your "little golfer" FORCES you to slow the arms down to square the face. I realize your Academy is the proper venue to discuss all this and try to find a solution, just wanted to chime in that this is a very useful and welcome video.
Most times when people transition to this method and begin shanking it, it's because they still power the club from the top with their arms pitching the club out as they lower and turn.
I’m more an elbow guy versus thinking hands . If I get the rear bend elbow to my navel in transition . Than I hit and turn … it seems to get same results you recommend
@@MiloLinesGolfCan you explain this part a little bit more or point me to a video? You’re one of the best teachers in the game!! So simple and easy to understand
Hmm, well in my experience and from my students, the back screams out more with a different pattern. Maybe this could shed some light on it: ua-cam.com/video/S5M6OdQlHqM/v-deo.html
@@MiloLinesGolf strong left hand grip, powering the club with the left wrist and turning the body. It's a bad habit and wrist stress is the result. When I swing with the body no pain in my wrist. Great teaching videos; sadly 95% of amateur golfers have flawed swings and never will improve despite the videos ( me). So you will always have students thinking they can become the 5%
UA-cam is a hard place to learn unless a specific video relates to what you are working on. Much of it is for entertainment and to give look in to philosophies, that's why I always recommend working with me or my team 1-on-1 whether online or in person for best results, to help each individual with their specific needs.
Is the thumbnail a static position or a snapshot of an actual swing. Looks like a flip. The club head gets to the ball quite late and it’s flipped last second. When I watch the best do it they release way earlier than you are explaining here. The rehearsal swings you guys are making here are pretty extreme. The guy hit a thin one, he was holding too long. As you said “it’s tough to synchronize it all”. Of course it is if you try to hold everything like this. The club is above the ball. My back hurts watching this method.
First that still was an action frame from an actual shot I hit. Second the amount of lean is generally proportional to the speed a player has look at Brooks DJ Finau Champ and you will see something similar to this still shot. I create quite a lot of lean and have a fairly late release but I also have plenty of speed to launch it nice and high. Third rehearsal movements generally need to be exaggerated to help create change. If the rehearsal feels normal you will do nothing new. Last drills are designed to create change in our movements so we don’t worry about the results in the drilling phase. The best allow the release to happen and don’t force it. What we explain in this video will allow the player to do just that.
WHYYYY are u sinking to that right knee.... WHYYYY exaggeration like this to mess things up ..... can't UA-cam golfers do this RIGHT and NATURALLY ..?!?!?! ..... New golfers will ground to BADLY that club will break and wrist injury right on point ..... teach it RIGHT..... !!!

Is the drastic head movement an issue
The head moves some in the golf swing…sometimes in rehearsals it appears like more as we are building the pattern.
My left knee has zero cartilage left in it...
I'm afraid of another injury.
Is this safe for me?
Probably better for you because you’re not snapping your knee straight
