    I think this is a great video but you need to take a chill pill and slow down.

    Thanks for another interesting application. BTW, you can use particle simulation to do this - just set to Emitter with frame start and frame end the same, so all particles are born at once. Lifetime to the length of the animation. Also, set Render->Extra->Unborn ON so that the particles are visible at all times before the frame start. Then create another plane for the ground collision and raise the emitter plane just a few centimeters above it so that the particles don't fall through. Turn all Particle Velocities to zero. Ultimately though, the individual collision objects is better for controlling interpenetration with the ground suface, since the mesh geometry determines the collision distance, not the object center.

      @TopChannel1on1  5 років тому

      oh nice, and it would not lag as much since its just using the object center for collision, rotation and position freeing up alot of resources in calculating collision shapes and particle or object translations based on the rigid body system which has to calculate the entire geometry of the mesh but like you said you run into particles intersecting, which may be in this instance

    Really amazing. Not sure why but I never thought of animating the force field. So many possibilities.

    You can just use the emitter type instead of hair, no real need to convert to individual objects

    looks good.....I've been thinking of making an animation of some leaves on a roadway......I saw some yesterday, they were caught in a vortex, a spiraling wind moving along the road.....looked pretty cool....I'm a rookie, newbie, ....so how difficult would that be to do?? Perhaps a tutorial would help me.....but I'm gonna try my hand at it.....Thanks again for your explaination of your animations. Thumbs Up.

    Hey man, I've got a question for you or for anybody who has a solution for my problem. I'm following your tutorial but I want the leaves to be at an specific spot at the beggining of the video (I'm trying to form a word with the leaves) but as soon as I star the simulation they fall (even beeing reaaaaally close to the plane) and they "explode" and get all mess arround. How can I do so I have the leaves forming the word on the plane at first and then fly with the wind force, thank you?

      if you are using the rigid body system there is an animate option to turn on off the physics

    •  3 роки тому

      @@TopChannel1on1 Ok but now they don't react to the wind :/

    creating separate objects from the hair particles is good, but when you apply the rigid body then try to change the Mass.. it only changes the mass of the object you FIRST selected.. but not the rest of the collection.. how to you make it work for ALL the particles.. it doesn't work the way you showed.. I would have to go to each leaf and change the Mass.. this is missing a step or the program has changed since you made this. but it collapses right at the point of getting the objects to move because I have to make changes one at a time to EVERY separate leaf.. unless someone can tell me how you can apply a single change to many objects..
