It’s sad that people in the US only buy crossovers. Here in Europe, there’s a Corolla wagon, Mazda 6 wagon, hyundai i30 wagon, kia ceed wagon, golf wagon, passat wagon, arteon wagon, peugeot 508 wagon, škoda octavia wagon, škoda superb wagon, mercedes cla wagon, c class wagon, 3 series wagon.

This was a FUN video. Mark and Jack have such great chemistry together, especially when reviewing something as nonsensically awesome as a family hauler with 600+ HP.

When used Hellcats sell for $100k+, this E63S will be the affordable practical choice.
Although you can get a brand new Demon, errr, Super Stock for about $90 k full loaded. All the full banana mode drifting you want.

Before Covid, low mileage Hellcats could be found in the 40-50K USD range. I haven't looked lately. Insane for a 707 HP missile. The Demon was a Limited production car that was bought up by speculators from day one. The seller probably lost their ass on that 116K car.

I would need my attorney on speed dial if I owned that car. Even Unintentionally, I suspect one would find themselves doing triple digits without even realizing it on open stretches of highway.
So many cars have a combination of Aero, HP, and gearing that 100 MPH/124KPH is easy to achieve.
You don't need to go anything like this expensive to be able to do that - almost any half decent large family car made in the last decade will cruise at 100 mph all day without the passengers even noticing if they're used to being in cheap small cars. I changed from a medium sized to a large family car from a budget European brand and 75 mph suddenly felt like 55. I should mention that 161 km/h is 100 mph, 120 km/h (~75 mph) is the lowest top motorway speed limit I've seen in Europe, with some countries going as high as 140 km/h (~87 mph) or no speed limit at all in the case of some sections of German autobahn.

I haven't driven an E63 Wagon, but I have tested a C63. You're absolutely right. Triple digit speeds are completely effortless. The scary part is that they're so smooth that it really doesn't feel like you're driving at "I'm going to prison" speeds.

Thank you so much Mark and Jack for this video. This has been my dream car since release of the original E-class AMG Hammer (1986). My parents owned the lowly regular 300E. And having been a follower of SavageGeese since the beginning, it is great to see Jack "coming into his own." The Interior Impressions: WHY
The previous models to me look better and do the actual car stuff like hassle free using it better. Too bad that used AMGs are such a money pit.
By far the best thing about that interior was the amount of space with the seats folded down - all the shiny carbon fibre and touch sensitive attention wasting controls around the driver seem pretty terrible to me. Putting money towards that level of financial millstone in the first place cannot be rationalized unless you have enough cash to spare to buy full on supercar in the first place.
@@fabianherrmann6398 They really aren't, relative to their performance. Are pads/rotors expensive (even steels), yes. Are these reliable when maintained? Absolutely. I have a 2014 E63s and it's been very easy to live with. And has not been a money pit anymore than any other 600hp car.
@@CS-Loc You are right, the point is "well maintained". Challange to find ones that one can be somewhat sure about have not been neglected and abused buy some idiot who had it before.
@@fabianherrmann6398 They're expensive. They're all pretty much well maintained. As least cared for more then your typical $50k car. Unless it's your dad's Corvette with 5 miles that only gets driven to New Balance meets.
After the turn, when Jack drifts and then pounds the steering wheel...its totally a Dumb & Dumber moment.....and its amazing.
I think sticking a car up on a lift during a review is a big game changer in car reviews. keep up the good work!

Just got back from Germany. So many wagons there. No many SUVs. Watching those high end wagons flying down the autobahn was amazing.
BANANA MODE (so fitting)... the Bullion Cam™ ... the laughter and the wheel slaps... 12/10 video! I imagine that designo matte blue looks okay in person but it somehow fit just how absurd this car is, like someone took a steel wool brush to the exterior of a gorgeous MB blue, to reflect the unbridled rage under the hood of a luxury wagon. I love that this car wasn't a graphite color (my favorite tbh).

Sometimes it's hard to decide what car you like more, especially because I can't even afford half of one of these. Watching so many reviews, they do all kinds of analyses, but at the end of the day, pretty much every reviewer has giggled while driving this one, which says to me, this is the one I'd buy if I had the money.

I loved this review, and this car.
I rented one of these in 2017 for 4 days when I was stationed in Germany and let me tell you it was so much fun. The car is more than capable of running 200 mph I had the rental very close to that on the autobahn. It really grips the road well and rides very well. I would definitely consider buying one if I had 130k just burning a hole in my ass pocket.
Its crazy how dull the M5 has become. I would take the sedan version of this over the others.
