If you don't have a family, you don't need a house. Houses trap you into debt with a mortgage, and turn you into a mindless consumer. You will be spending too much of your $$$$ on house stuff, like a lawn equipment and supplies, repairs, home insurance, property taxes, and too many other things. I miss being a renter, and I miss all the money I've blown on housing expenses. In my Midwestern city, there are a few apartment complexes set up like ranch-style condos, with two car garages, so I plan to move into one of those. Don't know if you can find something similar in California.

Of course it's an expensive vehicle, because it's a Mercedes-AMG Roadster, which is way more expensive than just the coupe version! For example, just compare it with some Aston Martin convertible versions, and you will see a dramatically higher price for these British cars, which have the price of "two houses", but not only one house. And the build quality of these Brits is not as good as the AMG... At least they have a German engine too...;-) What did you expect? A price like a Corvette C8 for a 100% AMG "piece" of German build quality and technology??? You can't have hese things for a stupidly low Corvette price... you annoying clown!!

Why is this Aston Martin much more expensive than a much better sports car rival from AMG??? Which by the way has the "original" 4 liter V8 biturbo engine. This car was definitely abused. Underbody is severally scratched and panels were ripped off the rear, right under the transmission! Hmm... no surprise the transmission failed!
purely a car for leasing, made to get beaten the hell up and than returned when the toy doesnt have much left in it. for a car like this to have transmission slipage at 9000 miles isnt uncommon at all.
With underbody panels ripped out at the rear and the front underbody scuffed significantly, you can safety assume the transmission failed because of the abuse this car has had.

The pre-2020 interior is the best: you have the custom “V8” pattern knobs, the proper analog dials (which will be coveted by future collectors), and the louder exhaust with more pops/bangs.
I agree 100% with your thoughts about this car. It is an amazing car. I didn’t drive the 600 HP version you all drove. I drove the regular AMG GT and that was amazing as well. The way power comes on and stays on is unlike any other car. It’s too fast for American roads and the only way to get the most of that car is too use it on track. Which as the salesman told me when I drove it. Glad you all got to enjoy it for a little while and I hope that DCT issue isn’t common. See you for the next video and I hope your press car isn’t as beaten.
My favorite feature is the low hanging ac compressor. They even left a cut-out for it in the underbody shield for ease of "removal". That seems appropriately safe and logical. Runner up is the engine cover that is in a thrupple with the air boxes because the engine makes too much heat.
Thanks for the review mark. This made the decision easy to buy 3 of these. I only drive Ferraris and Rolls Royce so it wont be for me, but one for my personal chef, one for my house keeper and one for my sons 16th birthday to drive to private school. Again, i wont be driving it as I have a La Ferrari and 2 Rolls Royce Phantoms.

there is no way a majority of owners even mess with any of that extra infotainment stuff. most people in the age range buying this car have enough trouble using a smartphone. its just crazy imo how complex they make these systems.
That $1500 carbon panel under the hood doesn't actually cover the engine, that's all under that heat shield with the turbos. It's basically halfway into the cabin like in a Chevy Astro van, which is why it'll keep your coffee warm in the cupholder.
What's crazy to me, as someone with no experience in either car, a C8 Corvette seems like it's worth more than this car at less than half the price. I just can't see buying this at the mentioned price tag for essentially the engine and transmission. I know the suspension is amazing too, but for the money it has to be. Obviously I'm not the target audience, but Porsche does seem like the better option if you are going to spend that much. Awesome review as always though!
The GTC/GTR is the best sports car today, for the money. It’s leagues more engaging than a 992! The GTR was preferred by many vs the 991.2 GT3. The transmission is basically bullet proof - it’s a Getrag, used by Ferrari.

This is one of my favorites...I love everything about this car. The looks, the sound, the balance it strikes between GT and sports car. And the "C" version is exactly what I would choose, because it has most of the go-fast bits from the GTR without all the flashy look-at-me stuff like the huge wing. Really great stuff.

Im really not a sport car guy at all but these amg gt's are my absolute favourite car. Dream toy. Realistically i might eventually get a miata but in my dreams im driving these. Gorgeous
