Hand sewing techniques can also be used to join not only steering-wheel covers but another different upholstery projects, such as car door-panels, dashboards, office tables, etc.
This video shows a way to customize a car door-panel using this technique. The 'diamond look' Euro-stich was used to assemble or put together the leather pieces.
I hope you to improve this method by creating new designs and combinations of your own inspiration.

The white material beneath as backing is called celestra/cambric

It is a dust cover thin fabric usually used at the bottom of chairs, sofas, etc.

hola disculpe maestro, que calibre de hilo se utiliza al momento d coser en la maquina , arriba y abajo??

Para este proyecto usé hilo número 'cero' es el que le sigue en grosor al hilo estandar que usamos para hacer tapicería. Para hacer el entrelazado de 'arriba y abajo' usé el mismo grosor de hilo.
