Your welcome Arthur. It's such a magical spot! And shallow too!

From San Diego, visiting Kona right now watching your Kona Diving videos! Glad you got to enjoy the sea life in La Jolla. There really is an abundance even in the shallows off of La Jolla shores/The Marine Room.

We'll be back! It was so good. Where are you diving in Kona?

@@konafreedivers3970 We visited several beaches along the west coast of Kona. North to Mauna Kea Beach, Beach 69, and south to Captain Cook, Two Step, and South Point. A few in between as well. The one I would want to go back to the most would be South point; such a unique environment near deep open ocean, rough seas and crystal clear water!

Glad you liked it Bryan. There's so much to see in the shallows you don't have to go deep to see things.

Hi. What spots did you go to swim in La Jolla? Yesterday, I went to La Jolla Shores. I saw leopard sharks, skull of fish, a bigger fish and a big sting ray. The water was mercury so it was hard to see

It's shell beach or cove. There's a rock that the seals sit on. Great spot.

I have a newbie question here; I’ve just taken the basic Naui freediving course, and there was a lot of talk about, having one’s buddy on the surface while one is diving. When does that rule apply? Mainly for much deeper dives?

It applies for every dive. Your buddy should always be on the surface while you are diving as you never know when you could experience shallow water blackout.
