I'm sure I talk for many people, you come over as a really nice guy! { I know about the rod you bought for the Autistic Angler when he broke his rod} The effort you put into your fishing is second to none! If there is one person on youtube that deserves that Cod, that man is you. I would say never give up, but I already know you wont. Great bloke and great streams. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for your kind words . Fishing for cod for me is hard there does not seem to be many about like in the 80s. I will keep trying but fishing trips when you blank 5 in a row i think now is hard. You start of full of beans and as the session goes on you get deflated . That;s when i moan to much and rattle on sorry. All the best vernon.

Obviously we all want to catch fish but even when we blank there is nothing more relaxing than the breeze in our face and the waves on the shingle. I too often blank on full moons but the atmosphere it creates is just special. Keep the vids coming.
I have like yourself been on many splendid beaches at night with nobody either side of me for miles, pitch black with a glowing moon shinning on the sea, looking over my shoulder getting spooked and blanking but still had a great time. Cheers for comment.

Vern, the next time you fish the Hornsea area. Call in at Eastcoast tackle for your bait. Nic, has fantastic live and frozen bait. You won't be disappointed. Give Mappelton a go at low water and fish it back. Also free car parking.

Once again an enjoyable video and thanks for sharing, . . . but please don't ask Tom to cut out the "moany" bits or any rants . . . you express what I often think! You may have to make a "blood sacrifice" if you are to catch a cod! . . . a dog owner whose dog wants to pee up your brolly perhaps!🤣 By the way, when your kids do decide to watch your "legacy", they may wonder if there has been any insanity in the family before you, given your propensity (like the rest of us) to spend hours on a cold, wind swept beach/Bay 28 and still catch no fish!🎣☹️
Have asked Tom not to cut all moaning but i have tried not to moan as much but believe me if something kicks me of i will go on. I will keep fishing for a cod there must be one in front of me one day before spring . My family think i am mad just going fishing and tried once to talk me out of fishing in a force 10 but the urge was there to go, not a good session everything went wrong but had a laugh.

Mainly Weybourne and Cley. Looking at trying Holderness coast this winter for COD. Not been that way before maybe you could advise best place 👍

Yep but hard to put a worm on those. Good for single hooked baits I use prawn on those.
