This is truly a universal song, I remember watching the closing ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics when Paul sang this and had the athletes from all around the world singing along to the song
She has magic but this live one has it more, apart from the fact that in this live one she has a better voice and she doesn't feel dull or damaged like in 2012
It's difficult to listen to this song without finding myself in tears, as it brings back so many memories from childhood, which can sometimes be emotionally overwhelming. Paul McCartney is and will always be Britain's greatest-ever musician, songrwriter and artist. There's simply no one else who comes close. Thanks for another excellent reaction and well-considered analysis of what makes this particular performance so special. Cheers from the UK!
You obviously love this man, it is very easy to see and feel that! No wonder..he is one of, if not the best performer, musician, writer, in history from the greatest music group the world has ever seen! Love you for loving him!
Those naa naa naas. I remember in the early 60's being at a night club in Sheffield UK, where ballroom dancing, along with rock & roll , 60 's music etc, was the routine and everyone was dressed in their finest outfits. After the waltz, foxtrot, quick-step, etc, the DJ came on for his session and amongst his repertoire was a new record from the Beatles. From the hubbub at the bar's arose the chant 'naa naa', and it eclipsed the whole nightclub, and went on, I swear, forever. And everyone would sing in unison to 'I Want to Hold Your Hand. The Beatles had arrived and everyone was thankful to finally cast off the misery of the 50's. Thanks for the reminder.
I am 69 years old the Beatles have been part of my life, just great to see the different generations give me audience I'm still today young people are enjoying Beatles music no doubt the Beatles music well go on forever. As always a great reaction always enjoyable to see you
1968, OMG. A heart felt song. A year that brings back so many memories in my life. I was drafted and on my way into battle. I was leaving behind the love of my life. Fortunately I survived but during my time away the relationship failed. I eventually found my soulmate years later. But I still remember, on occasion, that special love that I felt during the memorable time I spent with her. Great reaction. Keep up the great work. A fan for life.
And that love in Paul’s heart shines through to everybody else. I saw The Beatles live in 1966 and to think he is still putting on concerts at the age of 80 and is touring over 60 years after the band first got together is incredible. How many people has he touched over that time ? What a guy.
What a Performer he his saw him in 2006 at Cardiff Millennium stadium absolutely fantastic concert 3hours of pure brilliance of Beatles and Wings what a singer songwriter from the best band in the world Thank you Rebeka and glad it wasn't blocked Na, Na, Na, Na na Na, na, Na na Na, na, Hey Jude 🎶🎶🎶🎶😊
Really enjoyed your reaction to this!! I was able to experience this live four times!! At Paul's concert in Dallas in 1990 at Texas Stadium, 1993 in San Antonio at The Alamodome, 2002 in Dallas at Reunion Arena, and 2005 in Houston at the Toyota Center. It is truly a celebration of life to experience this!!!!!
This is one of my feel good songs that always no matter what darkness that I am in can someone shine a light on that darkness world. Thank you for your reaction it brought a smile to my face. Peace and love
Not sure when this show was but his voice is still so GOOD! And.....well, its Sir Paul, what lucky people who have seen him live, prob wont ever happen but these videos make it possible for the rest of us.
Sir Paul. A Beatle. There's nothing else to say. I saw him live in 2010 with my best friend. Paul was 68 back then. In this song, I cried 😭I'm a big Beatles fan and he's one of my biggest heroes. 👏Great choice and lovely look of yours, Becks 👏
I saw him in concert back in 190 in Miami. As an old guy of 69, it was emotion and thrilling to see a former Beatle and personal idol that night. Of course this song was on the set list.
Every time I hear that song I think of junior high school dances they used to play that and it was always the last song of the night it's still my favorite Beatles song over 50 years later
Went on the magical mystery tour - stereo on the bus broke - so just the one side playing... Bass. Paul. Best time ever. Penny lane.. George's house... xxx
I'm glad this wasn't blocked. I'm glad the term the "ultimate comfort song" came up in the description of the song, because I know how this song makes me feel every time I hear him sing it. And I'm glad I'm a long time subscriber, because your explanation of what you thought of the nah, nah, nahs at the end is so on point. You are the best!!
What a delight to watch this live performance, Sir Paul singing is so clear ,well enunciated like the days of old .I was an 8th grade kid when this came out . Great find Rebeka ! Peace ✌.
Someone noted that Paul has been using the same backing band for rather longer than any of his previous groups - including both The Beatles and Wings. They have stood him in good stead. Particularly as he turned 80 this year.
I've seen him twice once in the old Kingdome (football&baseball stadium) here in Seattle and once in MSG in New York. I won a pair of tickets airfare and hotel from a radio station here. if you'd like to see a great live concert version of a song by Paul check out "Live and Let Die". if you do try the one from the Kingdome concert. That concert is a movie called " Rockshow" and his live album "Wings Over America".
There's not a lot to be said about the Beatles that hasn't already been said a million times, so here are a couple of fun links. First, Paul McCartney's Carpool Karaoke with James Corden from the Late Late Show. ua-cam.com/video/QjvzCTqkBDQ/v-deo.html I would just love to have been in that pub at the end! Then there is this little-seen clip from Ready Steady Go in 1963. ua-cam.com/video/Dw0N9oCZCdE/v-deo.html When the Beatles were first starting out, their manager, Brian Epstein thought that after the clubs in Hamburg they needed some exposure to the UK and a tour was arranged where they were the support act for Helen Shapiro, who had her first hit at age 14, and was already an old hand by the time of this recording in late 1963, by which time she had just turned 17. By then the Beatles had already had a couple of hits of their own, but they seemed very happy to give Helen their support on live TV. The song is a bit naff, but the voice is incredible, and I just love the obvious mutual affection they have for each other. And what poise and self-confidence from a 17 year old! Just trivia, I know, but hopefully fun!
bit lte here, at 70 + I'm slowing down... anyway - how many tunes, practically everyone on the planet can sing along. for real. back in '67, a month or so after Sgt Pepper was released ( and I graduated from H.S. ) there was a live TV world wide release, of a Beatles song. all Ya need is love - not a great tune but not became kind of standard.
It would have better to have chosen the version with all the Beatles playing it in a television studio. Much better. The most recent isn’t always the best and without the other three of the Fab Four, this is not as good.
@@stevefreary7449 Yes he would, it IS You tube and copyright owners for some reason who don't realize that being on You Tube will expose people who don't know the Beatles music to be exposed it and therefore BUY it so they can listen to it whenever they want without having to go on You tube.
This is truly a universal song, I remember watching the closing ceremony for the London 2012 Olympics when Paul sang this and had the athletes from all around the world singing along to the song
Universal is correct! A song of the millenium!

No wonder Paul keeps looking so young, playing to huge, enthusiastic crowds like this every night.

great song choice to react Rebeka
Fun fact, on the original taping of Hey Jude, and Queen Bohemian Rhapsody the same piano was used. Wow.
Most PURE PAUL song with those other three guys.
No, I did not forget about "Yesterday"--- basically Paul solo.

I always loved the 'na-na na na' parts in the original. As a kid, my only complaint was that it was too short; I wanted it to go on forever.
Would love you reaction to the Beatles music video Revolution
