    As a NYC native, places that bear the Astor name that I can recall immediately : Astoria, Queens; Astor Place; the Waldorf-Astoria hotel...thank you for sharing this video, it was quite interesting. I enjoy also hearing about the people behind the names of other NYC locations as well. Since you mentioned the name of John Jacob Astor IV who died on the Titanic, you should have gone on to note that his then very young son Vincent Astor, who was in New York City when his father died at sea, was decades later the late husband of Brooke Astor, who was validly known as the Empress of New York Society in the final years of the 20th Century!!!

      And his young bride was pregnant on the Titanic. And since they were on their long honeymoon, mostly to let things quiet down about him marrying someone so young, he had not yet changed his will. Therefore Vincent got the vast majority of his wealth, leaving the new baby with very little (considering how rich JJ Astor was). The young bride never got over being on the ill fated ship and losing him so tragically. It does seem that she truly loved him. She did marry a couple more times and had two more children. They neither were successful marriages, with the last one being abusive. And she died relatively young have a heart issue.

    Caroline Astor picked-up the mantle of Grand Dame from her cousin Ann Colford Schermerhorn, NY's first grand hostess. It was Ann who really created the grand society in NYC. The Astor line America still survives, the descendants of Jakie Astor (the Titanic baby) and Caroline's youngest grandson. Greg Astor and Stephen Astor are two of the very few male descendants of Caroline & William Backhouse Jr. Jackie Astor Drexel is a great-granddaughter of THE Mrs Astor.

    MONEY CANT BUY LIFE

    ALL DAT POWER

    • @asjaosaline5987
      @asjaosaline5987 Рік тому +3

      Power is mostly situation where other people lack a power. And why other people dont have a power is mostly, couse they have given it away, they have been tricked to give it up or they sold they power for initial gain. if right now all people would be equal and have no money at all, then reality is generation later some people are richer, couse some people are more triven, smarter or even hard working. generation later some are richer, few gneration later some are far richer than other, century later we would have same situation. So there is no point to cry about it. Just we should educate people to secure they future. In right now hyper inflation alot of people have lost alot of they wealth. And some people were ready for that chrisis and secured they funds and instead of losing they gained. SO people decisions matter.

Meanwhile, you are incorrect in your own right as dat= that would be substituting d=t while completely dropping the h. Different people coming from different places with different backgrounds and education often speak differently. How they speak is then translated into their spelling and broad enough usage over geographic, cultural and social life aspects is how a language develops, evolves and grows. Ya'll used to be a southern and southwestern US American slang term. Now, broadly used across the nation and even used to some degree internationally.

    Astor, alongside Guggenheim and Strauss, was also one of the three important and powerful figures who opposed the foundation of the Jewish Federal Reserve Bank (FED), which is neither federal nor does it hold any reserves, nor is it a bank in the general sense of the word. When these three men went down with the Titanic in 1912, it cleared the way for President Wilson to be coerced into signing the Federal Reserve Act in 1913, which holds all Americans in debt slavery to this day.

      They kind of can; families like this have signed contracts with the beast system, the shadows. They keep reincarnating into the same families to inherit and grow their fortunes. In other words the modern Astors are the first ones, reincarnated into the family over and over again. These families that control this world all do the same. It’s the same with the British Royal family. Elizabeth II was once Elizabeth I, Charles the current king was one of the previous King Charles’s. William was also a British king before. If only people knew how it actually works in this place, and for how long they have been enslaved by exactly the same shadow souls over and over again. It’s been going on since the copper age, when the first elites were formed, 5000 years ago give it take. That’s when the beast system took over this planet. The place has been under its shackles ever since
