@@cody4916 it’s not a biological thing it’s a education and cultural problem. Black people were pushed to ghettos during segregation. The people grew up in job lacking, poverty stricken, drugs pumped by the government and they had no desire to further their education or aim for higher jobs because they weren’t accepted in higher society and over time this became a cycle of violence and poverty. It’s not a black people problem there’s not a special gene that makes them violent it’s just that majority of them are born into cycles in ghettos and only few can break that cycle. The ghettos are dangerous because they’re poor not because they’re black.
I showed my friends from Colombia a picture of Detroit and they said "what a waste of beautiful homes. It's like cooking a huge delicious meal and letting it rot."
The world has seen great empires; Ancient Greek, the Roman empire, British empire, and one thing caused the collapse of all these empires, huge Armies. The desire to maintain dominance is what has brought about the collapse of these great empires, and America has followed the same path. Armies do not build economies, they drain economies, what you bare witness to is the beginning of the end, and just as the British did in the past, a few years from now Americans will realize that the one thing they take such great pride in, is the thing that has brought about the collapse of their beloved nation.
I'm from Europe, Slovenia and when I traveled to USA I was shoked at the things you can see there. Never seen SO many homeless people. When I was younger America was a dream place, we all wanted to move there. We thought it was like in the movies lol. This is really sad...
@l0stM3rmaid the parallel with. What you think all of America was like.. Because of the media. Is the same view of Africa in a negative way because of the media . For most people they only see the negative side of Africa even today. But know with UA-cam things are being exposed that was censored Even today many people don't know that modern city exists in Africa and people live in house
I drove a truck 24 years. One of the most expensive toll roads and one of the worst maintained is the Pennsylvania Turnpike . The high tolls are supposed to go toward keeping the toll road well repaired. When I mentioned this to a local he said "Look at the streets where the politicians live. That's where the toll $$ goes. They're in perfect condition" so the corruption is not new
Think that's where part of the capitalism blame comes from. Rich people usually do very well with capitalism and they don't get that wealthy without being a shitty person. A shitty person is the greedy capitalist that doesn't give a shit about the people making them the money as they'll just abandon them when the profits dry up. They made their money, bought their legislators, and will only do what is best for them to keep their wealth going. These type of people will not be satisfied with $1 billion in profits per year if they can pack up shop and double or triple that profit in some other country they can shit all over and abandon. This is basically what capitalism leads to in the end and that perhaps maybe a little bit of capitalism, little bit of socialism, little bit of whatever-else-ism should be considered because clearly what we have only works if you're the one on top.
Even the rich aren't immune anymore. La Jolla, a wealthy neighborhood that basically supports the rest of San Diego through high property taxes, has horrible streets. It's funny to see the mansions there fronting on roads that have potholes and scarring from repeated patch-up jobs.

Some of those old houses and buildings you can see how absolutely beautiful they were. It's heartbreaking what lack of money, crime, poverty, low paying jobs, our mental health crisis, drug addiction etc has caused. 😭
We have way more than a community left behind... We have an entire civilization that is getting left behind... These despicable levels of neglect are completely intentional.

I am born and raised in California where housing skyrockets every year. It's to the point where you can't afford a tiny one bedroom house. It's painful to see these beautiful big houses abandoned and treated so worthlessly. Such houses would cost over 2 million dollars out here.
@@308pof I wish that where true. A lot of towns in California only offer lower paying jobs. San Luis Obispo is a great example. It's one of the most expensive small metropolitan areas in the country, yet most of the jobs are hospitality and retail. There's people who live there where a household of two holds 4-6 jobs just to keep a roof over their heads. A lot of the housing was bought up by rich people from the bay area or Los Angeles and are used as vacation rentals or just sit empty for when they decide to have their own vacation, and that's dwindled the housing supply. SLO isn't the only place this is happening, either. Mendocino is seeing it, Tahoe is seeing it, Truckee, the little towns in the gold country, and along the coast. Their economy is based almost wholely on tourism to save them, but now it's become so excessive that it's starting to cause a decline because there is little to housing and what housing is left is so expensive that it's too expensive for the people who work in the industry that keeps those places afloat. It's absolutely insane.
I grew up with a bad attitude, getting in trouble, & didn't finish high school. And honestly, the only thing that made me change was seeing things like this. I didn't want to end up like the people/in the places in these videos. Appreciate the video's, Nick!
What a great opportunity to start vocational training in high schools. Let the kids learn how to renovate the rundown houses, sell them to the poor for a reasonable price if they put in some sweat equity in order to buy it. The kids learn a skill that will lead to a good job and people get to own a house of their own. Its a fact that if you own something you take much better care of it than if you are renting.
You are the FIRST person who does this type of expose to include indigenous communities - there is no Indigenous Lives Matter movement and, if there were, it would get zero media attention. Thank you!
In our youth, (I'm from Europe and 46 years old) The United States were like the dreamland. Our favorite music, fashion, movies etc. all from the US. Nowdays I don't even want to go on a vacation there. So sad too see :(
@andrewh5457 They are talking about traveling to Los Angeles, New York and Chicago which are shitholes. Inam from Chicago and a Spanish person told me that if they knew that Chicago was a shithole then they wouldn't have come here. I have been to Europe and it isn't that bad compared to the United States.
Same for me I have no desire anymore to visit the country. In my youth in the 70s and 80s I always met Americans on a Go Europe trip. Now a days I seldom meet people from overseas. I use to think about my grandmothers younger brother who emigrated in early 1900. What happened to my fathers cousins and their children? Are they also homeless living in a tent somewhere?

As a resident in UK I watched this video because I seriously can't believe the poverty in the USA. It's beyond shocking. We have homeless people in our cities who sleep on the streets but nothing like what I have seen in America. I am absolutely staggered at some of the images. Unbelievable.

what strucks me is that, no matter how bad the neighbourhood looks, almost all cars seem to be either new or in a very good shape. I suppose it's a US paradox.
Check out some of the native villages in Alaska. Drug addiction and alcoholism is just the norm. And don't even ask how somebody is related to somebody else, you just don't want to know. Let's just say that the family trees don't have many branches. They've lived that way for so long that it's just normal to them. They die young. The villages are literally dying. Very very sad.

It's true what y'all said about having no hope, but if you're healthy you can find some kinda work instead of living off of hard worker's taxes!! It's progressively gotten worse since the 1960's when businesses started relocating their factories overseas. The dollar being taken off the gold standard didn't help either with an ounce of gold being under 80 bucks then. Part of me wishes I was alive then to buy over a pound of it then.
I spent a summer working on the Hurricane Katrina recovery. I worked mostly in the New Orleans ninth ward. We demolished a lot of houses but I can safely say that most of them needed demolishing before Hurricane Katrina. I was very careful to get out of there before dark. And I ALWAYS had my little friend with me. Tucked down between the seats. And when I had to drive through Acres Home subdivision in Houston I would never stop at red lights at night. Carjacking was a sport there.
You must have a decent system of law enforcement. Some cities in the US are lacking in leadership and some mayors and some prosecutors have been known to restrict the enforcement of the law in some special cases. During a riot in Baltimore a mob was looting a shoe store. A bystander asked one of the policemen why they weren't doing anything and was told to ask the mayor. These cities are almost exclusively cities with Democrat leadership. Apparently we are still a work in progress. @@peterkoller3761

People can switch to something new to earn incomes - generate energy/electricty for large areas, grow food (like the tiny Netherlands), establish fish farms, produce generic medicines, provide lower- cost medical treatment and care, etc. because that's what's needed.

This is the result of 45 years of Ronald Reagan's trickle down economic policies. Convince people it is good for them to give huge corporations tax breaks. Those corps do stock buybacks and enrich themselves and their stockholders. They overturned the laws that required companies to reinvest in communities. This didn't just "happen". It was perpetrated upon the American people by selfish politicians and folks convinced to vote against their own interest. I'm 60 y/o, I live in Chicago and I've seen it all.
Don't be so naive. What does pumping $ into bringing up these communities reward the politicians? 40 years later the community might bear fruit, but they'd be long out if office with zero income from corporate donations.

It's very sad to see these cities & the houses abandoned & businesses gone. 😢 seeing the beautiful home boarded up & to know at one time were the pride & joy of a family!
I worked in Baltimore for six years, and it was easy to drive around in the abandoned parts of town and visualize what they were like back in the fifties, with families and children playing in the yards, instead of drug dealers shooting at each other.
It's the banks and out of state investors. It is cheaper for them to buy up the properties, wait for them condemned and destroyed, then torn down and have something else built. Meanwhile it takes yeeeeeeaaaaars for this process and lowers the neighborhood value and safety.

I live in Johannesburg South Africa, and I am so utterly shocked at the degradation of so many parts of America with such dire poverty. However, when you compare these places to the "gawd awful slums of third-world capitals" (2:15 seconds) this is NOT the state of many capitals in Africa, I assure you. I've lived and worked in many African countries and been through many capitals - Windhoek in Namibia, Nairobi in Kenya, Gaborone in Botswana, Accra in Ghana, Maseru in Lesotho, Mbabane in Eswatini (previously called Swaziland) and Khartoum in Sudan, and while Africa does have poverty, it is not the same type of poverty as reflected in these ghettos in America. America is a prosperous first-world country, to my understanding, which makes this video even more shocking to me. We have some exceptionally fine and even affluent capitals in Africa. Granted, there are some areas within the capitals that may be more poverty-stricken and have some ghetto quality aspects to them, but they are mostly on the outskirts of the city, but some are also within the city limits too, like Kibera, which is the largest slum in Nairobi, and the largest urban slum in Africa. But the rest of the capitals themselves would rival many cities in America in terms of comparable infrastructure, amenities, transport, policing, and commercial activity. Africa isn't all about "gawd awful slums". America has a lot of wealth, with many state budgets being bigger than the entire GDP of some African countries, like, California. So why you have such terrible ghettos and poverty in so many places is beyond me. It's just so sad to see this in America, a country I used to admire. I will say this though, the poverty in Africa is different to what I see in America. In America, it is a Soul-destroying despair of drug addiction, absent fathers and mental health issues that are more prevalent, whereas, in Africa, it's about food and access to amenities, like clean drinking water in many cases. And while Africa does have extreme poverty in many places, there is still ambition and a desire to get out of the poverty cycle, and hope and striving for a better life. I sense, sadly, that in America this hope, and inclination is not there, their hope has died. What you say is true. We need books on the best seller lists and movies by important directors. There needs to be massive, in-your-face reporting on the real America and the real ppl living there. It may take a long-time to get any improvement, but nonetheless, it needs to get started or America will be the "No Hope" capital of Earth.
Agree! What's even sadder, in my opinion, is the money we waste, for example, on enormous salaries for sports players and some entertainment figures. Absolute millions upon millions, while others starve or die due to poor/nonexistent health care. It's disturbing. Finland is doing a great job supporting their homeless and addicted. There is a youtube video about it. The US needs to follow that same program which, for example, takes advantage of old and disused apartment buildings to create free or affordable housing. The problem is these issues aren't pretty, or fun, or even of interest to most Americans (and our politicians) to bother finding solutions. We're a very self-centered culture, quite different from yours. Those of us (like you and I) who do care are, sadly, in the minority. Thanks for your very informative comment!

I’m sure it’s worse now
Great work, Nick. Yeah, it's pretty sad to see the deterioration in many places of America. There's no one single cause either. It's because of failures on many levels, including incompetent government and mismanagement of taxpayer money and resources.
"There's no one single cause" Uh yes there is. All of the neighborhoods in the video have one common characteristic. I'll leave you to figure out what it is
It's a shame to see so many beautiful old buildings that were built solidly just stand empty. So much potential in these old places, lots of green, and space. Sad to see it's wasted, not revitalized.
@@nicsky20 do you know how expensive it is to move a house? Its not just hooking a truck and pulling hey. Leave the house where it is and demo everything around it and presto land to raise cows around that house. Easiest and fastest and cheapest way is just dump some gas and burn the whole city down. A few weeks later be nothing left. Use bull dozers to push the remains into new hills then cover in fresh soil.
As a European, I've come to appreciate the unique charm of these cities. While they may appear modest at first glance, there's an undeniable allure. They exude a sense of tranquility, nestled amidst verdant landscapes with ample greenery. The architecture is striking, each building telling its own story. What's more, the streets are expansive, providing a liberating sense of space, free from any feeling of confinement.
Yo Nick, you said it like it is ..." our government sends billions (probably trillions by now) to other places in the world but neglects what's happening in our own backyard"
Our government deliberately started this years ago. Think they had nothing to do with the spread of drugs? Think again. Many of them made millions in the drug industry. This is and was a deliberate take down of this country. Read the Bible there will be an end to this and it is going to be horrific.
I am new to your channel and find myself greatly enlightened. It is disgusting to see the contrast in America between the haves and the have nots. WOW! I find it totally disgusting. I was raised in the projects in NC and never realized that we were poor until there was more month than money. In India there are more than ten million villages. But, you hardly find one village that is abandoned, let alone cities, sir. My heart became heavy with sorrow when I saw this video. I can't imagine how you must have felt to find your own city in this sorry state, where you actually spent your childhood.
There are also places like this in India as well, actually you people observe India on the basis of big cities or metro cities, there is a place called rourkela in odisha state in India, there are some sectors in steel township area, where there are number of homes which are abandoned and are in squalid conditions, first when the steel plant was established, the plant hired a huge number of people from all across India, the sector area was full of people then, since so many people from across the length and breadth of india came and stayed here,it gave a cosmopolitan feeling, but then advanced machine came, they replaced the employee, and the man power decreased, and there are just a handful of employees in the steel plants,as due to lack of opportunities, they move to other states or other countries, since the sector area are abandoned, while wandering in the sector area,it gives a haunting like feeling
The first thing to improve a bad situation is to give it attention. I appreciate your videos, and I hope they get the attention they need. So that something can be done about it. It is a pretty to waste such a beautiful country.

Great service that you’re providing Nick. Seeing this decline and despair is enlightening. Great video Nick. But also very sad. I've seen a lot of these places from your other videos. But in this context, it's just overwhelming. No doubt the decline of our country is well underway, and it's begun in these smaller towns and cities. The situation for the Native Americans in SD is especially depressing. And it's clear to many of us, that most politicians and people in power won't do anything until it starts to affect them personally. By then, it will be too late.
It is true deep corruption runs in all Native American Tribes. Like in the sw New Mexico Santo Domingo Pueblo during the covid19 the tribe got Millions for covid19 relief fund to give $3,000 to each tribal member living on the reservation or not. Yet when the people that worked & live in the city went to their tribe to get the relief funds they were told they cannot get the money because they did not live on the reservation. So these natives did not get any help with the covid19 relief fund. That is pretty sad that their own people in charge do not care about their people.

Jobs moving overseas has caused the downfall of many neighborhoods in America. I believe the outsourcing of American jobs overseas started back in 1996 I believe, but it could have started earlier than that. Once the jobs left and moved out so did a lot of the people. It's very sad, and many areas like this, crime, poverty, and chronic addictions have moved into these once productive areas.

Multifaceted problem but the summary is unchecked capitalism. No public transportation in most places or poor ineffective public transportation limits the poor's ability to get good jobs. No affordable housing which again is caused by unchecked capitalism. Wages not keeping up with inflation, outsourcing of good jobs which again is caused by profit over people mindset. Rich and corporations escaping taxes. Poor education. Many factors with one main cause.

I used to perceive USA as a land of milk and honey until much recently when videos like these began to surface on UA-cam, that's when I realized they equally have ghettos and rundown, delapidated buildings similar to what we have here in Africa.
The word Ghetto gets used a lot but that word refers to something specific, the word we should be using is economic slums. I grew up in one in a poor part of North Carolina. If you're not already wealthy, you had ZERO chance of becoming wealthy and you could barely make enough to live, much less save or plan to get out. I had to join the Coast Guard, as there was NO money for me to go to trade school or college. People born in this situations are often depressed, demoralized and forgotten. No one cares. Living pay check to pay check, if you get sick or ANYTHING happens, the crunch comes hard and fast...you're one vehicle repair away from being homeless at any time.
"if you get sick or ANYTHING happens, the crunch comes hard and fast...you're one vehicle repair away from being homeless at any time." Most people today and it's not going to get better. We keep giving low paying jobs away like we are it's going to come faster.
Both of my parents, they grew up in Texas during the depression. But to tell you the truth, it made them strong. As adults they made something of themselves. My mother was a part time saleswoman at a famous Department Store JC Penny's. I hope the kids who grow up in these conditions will make something of themselves when they become Adults. Things were better back then especially if you have social capital. Poor folks tend to live around other poor folks...and college cost way more than it did twenty years ago and schools in poor areas tend to be grossly underfunded, therefore that means that even the smartest and most ambitious kid from undeserved areas tend to fall behind academically so once they get to college, they will have to take remedial level math and science, which means more time in school along with extra student loans to take out which leads to more dept and more poverty. Generational Poverty is not easy to escape.

I grew up in East Oakland and it wasn't bad when I was a kid, I'm now 60. We lived in the ghetto but my mother always told us that the ghetto was outside of her door and we were not allowed to possess a "ghetto" mentality. I attended the best high school in the ghetto but it was a private school, Bishop O'Dowd, at ten we attended the largest church, Allen Temple. I believe we turned out well because of all of the above AND because my parents were highly educated and believe in the power of prayer. NOW, you couldn't pay me to enter the city limits! I moved out of Oakland to the new city of Antioch which was great for 20 years but now that city is not safe. The same people from Oakland, San Francisco, Richmond, etc., have moved there and many have brought inner city problems with them. @l0stM3rmaid the parallel with. What you think all of America was like.. Because of the media.
Is the same view of Africa in a negative way because of the media . For most people they only see the negative side of Africa even today. But know with UA-cam things are being exposed that was censored
Even today many people don't know that modern city exists in Africa and people live in house
Mitch McConnell I object for rhe last 40 years Ragan policy's ie lest celebrate the very wealthy. SHUT UP POOR PEOPLE AND PAY YOUR TAXES
Even the rich aren't immune anymore. La Jolla, a wealthy neighborhood that basically supports the rest of San Diego through high property taxes, has horrible streets. It's funny to see the mansions there fronting on roads that have potholes and scarring from repeated patch-up jobs.
I thought traveling to Chicago years back was so much paying for the numerous tolls at every exits .
Look at John Fedderwomans home town..its a dump!

plus who tf wanna live in a worthless ghetto. that’s all it is and all it ever will be
@@308pof I wish that where true.

Very well put, Sir.
The trades have been de-emphasized and ignored in schools for a long time, to our detriment.

I came to this country in 1978 as a student, my first impression of U.S was everything is so bright and colorful ( I was in Kanas city bus station, go figure ), Have no idea what happened in 45 years, but I still love America !
PUBLIC APATHY. The situation in US is horrific. Theres folks going around pointing cameras at semi derelict cities and towns all over the place. Theres people living there in total poverty. One of them inhabited by females on their own. Whole streets with empty shops, gas stations and diners and wharehouses all starting to collapse. How come that nation paid people to walk about on a moon. Why are they staring into space trying to find 'life' when they cant even manage what they have. Do you think any distant civilisation would tolerate the people here// Why are you assuming they would be like you. Foir instabncxer whats all this about Police killing a 1000 people a yr. They dont seem to do that to the corrupt. In UK we are experiencing Police attacks too who are sent on behalf of religion. They told us that the evidence we gathered during 12 yrs traipse round vCent London accompanied by victims cannot be revealed to public. They also told us that theres no such thing as 'Natural Talent'. theres only what your teacher teaches. That attitude killed millions US Nativ Americans and Germany did same to tribes in Africa. This is the 3rd attaxck we have experienced after doing state of the art work on so called incurable clients sent to us by Health system. They had recd anything up to 22 yrs 'treatment' They needed six hours. One of them would have died that nite had we not broken in to get to her. We wewre then told to stop the work which was threatening establ jobs so around 12-15 000 died and the issues covered up by Local Govt. Police. HM Coroners. HM Courts. HM Psychiatry Charities. Press. 17 universities who are in league with Int drug firms. f-book and Twitter destroyed all our mails and all websites also disappeared. We have no access to Parliament or Law or Health or Welfare. We are woriied anbout dying cos this place coulds be ransacked by Police and the public would do nothing. We are a Jewish Family who came to UK to escape the very activities going on in UK. We came here with two suitcases and 80 yrs old granma. we were washing up dishes in hotel and taking scraps food home. no one offered any help. We left behind jobs in the Law System. Now lets think about this site. People are goin around filming other peoples misery so what the persons criteria. Why dont they go raise hell at the areas + Go see Political representative for those areas. Why dont they stop and knock at all the doors to see if the folks need food por help with property maintenance. Why are people sitting watching all this and doing nothing. Is it becauase the victims aree not 'relatives' If so you need waking up. No change in 10.000 yrs. Stop the deception. 5000 comments have not changed anything. The UK and Europe are also horrific. The EEC has told us that nothing can be done about corruption or the attacks on us made by Police and violent threats by US Embassy. Maybe we should try to get out of here urgent before we end up dead. The natives that the US killed knew how to survive. You dont. You killed most them wheres the guilt we dont see any.
It's very sad to see these cities & the houses abandoned & businesses gone. 😢 seeing the beautiful home boarded up & to know at one time were the pride & joy of a family!
At one time, Detroit actually demolished perfectly good vacant homes simply because there were too many on the market.
@@tryptabyss2129 , yeah, but no one wants to live in a neighborhood where they put their babies to sleep in the bathtubs at night to protect them from random gunfire, either. The banks didn't do that.

But thank you for an excellent expose of this tragedy, your guest had some very valid points, it was informative to listen to him.

A few weeks later be nothing left. Use bull dozers to push the remains into new hills then cover in fresh soil.
As a European, I've come to appreciate the unique charm of these cities. While they may appear modest at first glance, there's an undeniable allure.
I noticed you had a city in IOWA. OMG. As a native Baltimorean, that makes me feel better about my own ghetto!
This is a masterpiece of showing the living conditions of people who are neglected by the rich & powerful persons who are making the wrong decisions.
They are living this way because they choose to. No one is forcing them to. The only thing making it harder to get out are socialist policies, the drug war, and single parenthood.
@@DeltaAsherHill What policies are making it hard to get out? Anyone can move to a new city if they have the money to do so.
One positive thing the Biden administration is responsible for is Graffiti has dropped by 70%
Nobody can afford to buy spray paint
As an African tired of Americans thinking Africa is a stink hole. I've been waiting for someone to do such a video. Thank you for this
Doesn’t change the fact that we need to fix our own backyard. Is not a competition
U feel better now
Gap between Rich and poor is bigger than ever is went worse last 30 years
Lots of. AFRCAN American have left US and building there own homes,,expecially in Ghana😊
Yes, it is, most junkie town in America are resided by African American.
As a child I would terrified to walk those streets just to go to school if schools exit in those scary places.😱
Appreciate the heads-up! 👍
Excellent video! Thanks for showing the whole picture of what is happening.
I m Greek and I ve been living in Norway for a year now and just watched your video and really made me so so sad. United States was like Eden in the century before, so much culture, so many inventions so much great music and new ideas, all new things were coming from America. I feel sad about these brave people who left. Europe and achieved all those great things, built their homes and now to see them deserted, really hurt me. I think that you also need to teach children about their parents history, learn to respect what they went through and life is not just about Internet, they need to find values and this goes pretty much to all countries around the globe.Take care and I ll follow you💜👍🏼👍🏼
It's demographics bud. You can see the same thing happening in Greece. As the founding stock are replaced we become the 3rd world the people are coming from.
US got really rich while other countries were still poor or war torn and at some point we surpassed Britain so we looked like we were insanely wealthy until other countries caught up to us
The US is divided by income, education and a few other things…. A few rich… a lot struggling
yep... and look how much people complain when someone comes along and says "Make America Great Again!"
@Faustian_spirit
I am always puzzled, white people don't want other races to travel to their countries but they went and filled up the American continent from North to South?
The monsters don’t wake up before 3pm. That’s the key to staying safe while filming
Meth monsters don't sleep
All the opiate heads 😂🤣🤣 and meth creeps.
Yet even they touch grass...
I'm from South Africa and this is unbelievable and sad.
What makes me sad about looking at these slums is that they were actually really nice and prosperous neighborhoods once. You easily can tell they were once a great place to live in. Really makes you wonder what happened
Drugs and brainless gangs
I have seen it happen in Chicago myself. My grandparents raised 5 kids in south Chicago. Then they moved to a place called Dolton, IL. It got so bad we moved in with my grandma after my grandpa passed. She didn’t want to leave her neighbors or her hood but it was so bad there we couldn’t go to school with metal detectors unless my parents paid for Catholic school. Don’t get me started on the project, rober Taylor homes Cabrini green. All ruined. I have lived a few places in Illinois and have been living in Missouri since the end of 07. Can’t find the perfect place to live. That’s why home is where the heart is. I’m sad for my old home Chicago and I hope they can get it cleaned up. Lots of love in that city, and used to have lots of humanity.
@@ladyfreedomsrawnarratives super sad to see what's going on with our once beautiful small towns - from what I can figure out, the massive highway system in the 1950/1960/1970s and car centric suburbs really carved up the small businesses in the towns - plus all the big box stores and shopping centers you have to drive to - it's like this country is just one big shopping center
They still look nice to me, just filled with bad people
Places like this are ALL OVER the USA. Look channel Lord spoda. According to him, most were nice places to live, and then the 80s hit and 40 years later this is the USA
Thank you for being out there--you let us know good or bad what's really going on!!!!
If people are so poor, where do they get the money for firearms & ammo?

Aside from all that, there are people in the hinterlands who know how to manufacture stuff. Blacksmiths & gunsmiths. Some of the most talented people in the old skills are poor AF. Well, not really poor... Just without cash. There's a difference.
Anyway, logic died on the vine decades ago. I've been without cash & then had a sudden desire for a big tattoo... Never had any & was never a fan of body art even though it might look cool in photos. But being low on cash & having a variety of ítems from past lives, i sold the stuff off to pay for the worn done by a very young lady who was learning how to do it vía UA-cam in her daddy's basement. He bought her what she needed. A wonderful artista. She needed bodies for practice... Everyone in her family had a tattoo. Free. Everyone else got a rock bottom Price.
Excuse the long story... They pop out unexpectedly. Have a marvelous fall.
You have to set Your priorities right LOL 😂
Thank you for the conversation with the professor. He brings a fresh, unbiased tone to your channel and covers many of the nuances of area decline
I watched this because I wanted to learn more about why things happen. I work in a homeless ministry. Thank you for your tour especially for the interview at the end
I wish a large group and I will go and move in and start fixing some if these houses ,,,,,
PUBLIC APATHY. People are goin around filming other pewoples misery so what the persons criteria. Why dont they go raise hell at the aeras Political representative for those areas. Why dont they stop and knock at all the doors to see if the folks need food por help with property maintenance. Why are peopole sitting watching all this and doing nothing. Is it becauase the victims aree not 'relatives' If so you need waking up. No change in 10.000 yrs. Stop the deception. 5000 comments have not changed anything. The UK and Europe are also horrific. The EEC has told us that nothing can be done about corruption or the attacks on us. Maybe wre should try to get out of here urgent before we end up dead. The natives that the US killed knew how to survive. You dont. You killed most them wheres the guilt we dont see any.
@@marrodriguez6173 Hearts and minds are what need to be fixed in these places
He does good work. He shows the part they won't. Very valuable. Very moral, actually.
It makes it impossible to ignore the common denominator.
Man drives around poor neighborhoods to entertain lower middle class people all while making ad revenue lol. How is this moral or valuable? It's quite entertaining to see the poor in their habitat and struggling.
I visited Cleveland last summer to go to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and loved it. I found the people I met to be very friendly. Even better was the Cleveland Fine Arts Museum. On the top 5 fine arts museums world wide. The whole area near Case Western Reserve was lovely during the day. Not sure what things are like after dark, but the down town has some really nice features. Thanks Nick. Love your videos.
Our Country looks like a third world country in so many places. Its shocking to see how many Cities are in total decay. Its awful to see. Thank you Nick for all your videos.Say hi to mappy but not to Karen lol.😊
Jennifer Karen says 😛
Now Karen decides to be nice??? I just found out 30 year old son watches your videos too. I told him how you responded to my comment on Santa Barbara that Mappy says hi but Karen doesn't. You really created a cool thing your doing on UA-cam. Like I told you before I have been watching you for a couple years now. I'm a big fan of you and Mappy. Karen's funny too but I don't like Karens!
It is 3rd world why compare it is what is
So true
This is what Americans voted for, they deserve it.
Add that to a corrupt police department and poor urban planning and I believe it is placing us on the prescipise of history repeating itself. I believe all cities must evolve with the times.
Yes. I'm in my 50's; my husband's family is from that area. They left as soon as they could up North, squashing 3 small boys into a small place just for a better city environment. It's sad to see what's happened since.
Boy!!! I wished I've met your mama. Born and raised in San Francisco TPS by Hayward Park and OC (out of control) projects
