I've watched your earlier videos and I've started reading the labels l. When a bag has inert materials that usually indicates the seed has some sort of reduced watering properties as this bag does and so did the Mountain View Seed that I purchased. This just proves that Big Box Stores watch your videos too. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣 I wish I had that kind of influence. I do think the big box stores are starting to step their game up and provide better product offerings for the lawn.
Great to have you back. Lawn season, baby!! Lets Go!!
You know it! Let's go!
MVS all the way. I’m doing another bare dirt reno again this fall (hopefully my last) and I think I’m going to pre germinate the seed. I don’t think I ever saw you mention this practice. Are you a believer? I like the idea of reducing my washout risk.
I have never pre-germinated seeds before but the concept makes sense. I have seen people do it and have great results. I want to try it some time. With he MVS when you get 4-6 day germination it's not that bad but pre germinating could save a lot of water.
I’ve been seeing for the last two seasons the big box stores have been trying to step it up.
I agree 100%. I also think the big brands are adjusting their products offerings.
What are some options to help remove quack grass aside from round up? I have heard fusilade might be an option since tall fescue is some what tolerant.
Fusilade is labeled for quackgrass. I was thinking it was but I was not 100% sure.
Cam, Is there a product to stop grass from growing between sidewalk and driveway cracks? Preen??
There are some products out there that I heard about but I can't place them right now.
Good advice 💪🏻💪🏻
👍🏾
Good info man. Question, how many cultivars do you think it’s safe to mix together. I put down tall fescue resilience by twin city seed last fall and looking to incorporate some laterally spreading fescue this year.
Resilience already has 2 Mountain View Seed lateral spreading fescue cultivars in it. I would stick with the MVS cultivars if that is what you already have. You can try some of the other cultivars that they have available but I do not think you will be able to tell a difference because they are all high quality seed cultivars.
@@ElevatedLawnscapes ok cool. so no need for a complete Reno. I could incorporate in a overseed?
@joshuariggins4001 Yep. My front yard has never been fully renovated since I moved in and it looks pretty good at this point.
I grabbed Mountain View tall Fescue n mixed in some Scott’s Kentucky Blue. Jacking your style lol!!!
Hope that Scotts seed was clean...clean seed is my style 🤣.
@@ElevatedLawnscapes I hope so too lol
