- In this video I will show you over 100 comic books that have value that you want to be looking for while your out hunting for comics at garage sales, flea markets, dollar bins or any other place that sells comic books.
I created this video to help the new collector focus on finding key issues for their collection or to find comics of value that they can trade or sell to get the comics that they want. Its also a great video to give the experienced collector a quick refresher on what to keep your eyes open for.

Yeah that is why I included them in this video, I am sure a ton of folks while digging dollar bins just would fly past Archie stuff. but there could be value hiding in them.

All the hot popular super heroes stuff gets gobbled up so the obscure has a better chance of finding something of value. That being said I also enjoy the obscure because its something different and unique.
@@pop-comics I feel the same. Even if I collect Super Heroes as well (and even more horror comics and magazines, mainly bronze) few things make me so happy as the find awesome and (for me) totally unkwown obsvurites☺️👍

You do a great job of finding obscure books with value. The only thing is trying to find buyers for some of them because in terms of like Savage Dragon for example I can't seem to sell anything of that character regardless of value.
In person I have a hard time selling Savage Dragon, but ebay they sell.

I have Convergence: Superman #2, Amazing Fantasy (2nd vol) #15 (I MIGHT have #7 and #10, I'll have to check), and Amazing Heroes #35.

I'm not sure if I like this video because many of the issues you list in the Betty and Veronica and Savage Dragon I've been actively hunting for and now there will be lots of other people hunting for the same books lol
Haha well hopefully people are hunting in dollar bins and not online. I dont think any of them are spec worthy so I dont think they will be bought out online but definitely worth knowing to pick up when you see them cheap.

The B&V Spectacular #522 also has Betty above the title saying, “ Interested in having fun? Pick us up, you won’t be sorry”, while posing in her bikini. Behave yourself, Betty! 😅 the silver age B&V have some very beautiful covers, too.
Haha too funny I love Silver Age B&V comics such wonderful covers. I picked up #1 a few months ago, one my my favorite key issues. I need to find more of the earliest issues, they are so rare and expensive.
@@pop-comics my LCS owner had a good point about Archie’s - the older issues were read and shared, so they are not in the best condition, from passing many hands. But I supposed that’s what comics were originally meant for - to read and share with family & friends.
That is true for all comics, they were printed in high numbers to be consumed read and enjoyed. It was not really until the 1970s that they started to become collector items in addition to something to read and enjoy. So many comics from before the 1970s were read to bits and hard to find in good shape. That being said by the 1990s into the 2000s most super hero stuff was more targeted to an adult audience, where as archie was still aimed at kids so its hard to find those issues in good shape as well.

The beauty #1 by Jenny Frison has some value in higher grades, I've seen you pick it up at some point.
Yeah I love that variant. I have found it twice for cheap. Since it was a variant I was not including it in these list but I have found it twice so its out there. I probably should next time.
I thought the 1st appearance of Vampironica was in 'Cherry Poptart #1'..
I think the distinction there is one was a parody and one is an official Archie character. If they ever do something with the Archie character though, I am sure cherry poptart might still be connected etc.
@@pop-comics You are correct, but I do think its hilarious that after suing, they adopted the character themselves. I hope they bring her to one of the TV shows.

I buy junk on ebay and then flip it back on ebay for money. I would make a video on how to do it but I don't want any competition.
There is definitely deals on ebay for lots of collections that is way under valued.

This is not about value. This is about a love of comics that I cannot read because they are too expensive
Good news is most books today get printed into trades that sell for pretty cheap after a few months so for every expensive key issue there is almost always a $5 trade you can buy to read it.
