- I went to my 2 local comic shops with my son and friend Sean, we dug through the dollar bins. Checked out the wall books. And picked up a bunch of this weeks releases.
Watch as we dig through the bins and add new comics to our comic collections.

I absolutely love these videos. I know these are probably so much easier to produce for you but they just make me feel like I am hanging with some cool friends. Sean Mr. Dollar Bin is like the buddy I never had! 😃
Yeah I think it turned out to be a great video just hanging out in the shops. I need to convince Sean to do more hunts with me, because its so much better when we are digging together and chatting.

Hes not a huge comic nerd like me but I think he does just enjoy hanging out and having fun. It brings me joy anytime he wants to buy and read comics.

I have to start checking dollar bins out. I have to admit I am a wall guy and designated golden age bin. Love the road trips my friend.
Treasure hunting the dollar bins is so much fun for me. I think Buying Wall Books vs digging dollar bins for possibly finding books that should be wall books is the same as buying a low grade golden age books and taken the time to conserve them, make them look better and more valuable. There is value in the process that goes above and beyond just owning them. AKA I Love The Thrill Of The Hunt haha Now just have to find Golden Age Dollar bins haha
For me doing “put backs” is essential. I just grab anything I think I might need or want and after I hit everything or only have a limited time until the shop closes I start to thin out my pile. I will use CLZ to see what books I need for runs and check eBay to see if some things are valuable. I can’t imagine skipping that step because I would go broke and run out of space. Also if I don’t pull something and then find I want it later it can be very hard to find it again like a needle in a haystack. So I’d rather just grab it and put it back if I have to later.
Putting stuff back makes perfect sense to me. I have a physical shop that sells pop culture so for me my put back is actually just selling later in my shop if I decided I don't need the issue. And in most cases that issue will sell for more then $1 because I am usually grabbing rare things or things that I think have more value then $1. Only time I grab $1 books that are only worth $1 is if it is something I know I really want and dont have etc.

haha yeah, The Maxx is everywhere. I see them in every dollar bin in NYC.
The bane of “remembering” by covers is when you run into oddly similar covers, so you can’t remember if you have it.
Yeah it happens, but at $1 I don't mind making the duplicate mistake.

I see them all the time, and own them already. Also just double check and for instance the bubblebath one I contemplating getting sells for $4 so I don't regret not buying a duplicate for the collection. Was there one I passed by that is worth a lot more then that? There is nothing on my radar in that series worth a ton, but there could be issues selling for more that I am not paying attention to so your help would be awesome.
@@pop-comics Danger Girl Revolver has some pretty rare covers, most of the A covers are pretty valuable too. Nothing crazy on the A covers, but more than a buck for sure. It’s been a while since I checked, but all the issues from IDW were going for more than the image issues, and also had some rarer(subscription/incentive) covers
I am not as familiar with that series, I will have to keep an eye out for it. I think what I saw in these dollar bins was the original series which I see all the time.
Looks like Issues of DG Revolver, and/or DG GI Joe(both IDW 2012) go for $10-15 each these days, with some variants going for a bit more. (That image DG 2 you passed up has sales from $2 to $6 so you were right on the average)
There’s so many copies of most 90s comics, it seems. I’m still trying to find the Janet Jackson Gen 13 #1 on the cheap though lol
Nice finds, that Batgirl 45 has been driving me crazy trying to find lmao. It's the only issue I'm still missing from that first Batgirl run but I can't find it anywhere in person and online for less than 25$ after shipping. Honestly some of that mid 2000's stuff is harder to find than keys at this point.
Its a beautiful cover and one I never see. Did not realize it sold for so much but had a hunch about it.
And yeah early to mid 2000s is a very low print era for comics
@@pop-comics I think it's supposed to be closer to a 5-6$ book in good grade but shipping costs just seem to have gone up everywhere.
I still haven’t seen an Action Comics 806 in the past 5 years of looking, and that’s not just in the dollar bin.

I am a huge fan of hers so most likely I was skipping things I own already. I dont feel the need to buy more unless its a book of value if that makes sense. I was also holding back, when I tackle these bins with buying in mind I have often spent $500 there lol

Sean is a great guy, he collects comics purely out of the love of comics and that is awesome! It makes me happy to call him a friend.

@@pop-comics I don't remember. It's a bagged issue. Look it up. Midtown comics had them for 2.00 on sale. I bought 10 copies and sold for 25.00 ea. They are expensive cover price.

haha no so much complaining, I get a ton of folks who get up set when I say Maxx comics do not have much value. So I wanted to show that as an example of why I dont think they have much value, I see them in every dollar bin I look at. It was very funny though that a a few moments later I saw they were giving them away for free lol
In that small stack of books that you looked through, those 2 Wolverine books have a little bit of value.
Which issues where those?

I do I spend a lot on comics, but I also sell a lot of comics. My goal is to always try my best to get to even so I can buy as many comics as I want.
Very cool! I respect that. When I go to one of my shops I see some of the comics you like to get. But I have no clue as to what you have. Otherwise I would get you one as a gift
