Most people practice only physical aspect of aikido. It is very nice to see someone practice and teach more about spiritual power. Thank you for this type of videos.
I think what most people do is they turn around their axis. What I have found better is to slightly move forward, even if your legs stay where they are. That creates a tiny 'Irimi'-movement, which is necessary to control the opponent the way you do it. I am currently figuring out some things similar to what you explain, but still have difficulty getting it right every time. So thanks for your video.
I am fairly new to studying Daito Ryu Roppokai. Thank you Shibata sensei for sharing these videos, they are fascinating and eye opening! If I may ask, are you creating the noshi shape through movements of your tanden to create kuzushi in the uke? Also, is it necessary for uke to continuously apply pressure to maintain the connection, and if so is he being compelled to do so? I haven't experienced the seizing quality yet so I am still trying to understand what is at work.
@@yoshihitoshibata6671 Thank you. I think I'm sensing it a litlle bit. I wish I could live in US and come practice with you. Would you think to make a special video tutorial in which you could explain all of these aspects in detail so we can buy and study?
