I think all the our breathing exercises and practicing to be aware our inside of own body are helping. I am so happy to see some of my students are getting how to stay calm and move their own body rather dealing with Uke's movement!

    He knows the stuff and he is awesome but actually he does not teach nothing , just says void words and makes show off…all his videos are exactly the same Horrible teacher (or does not want really to teach his knowledge (most probably) If you want to learn the hidden tricks of aiki age/sage”, look to other channels like Masahiro Shioda’s and from there look at the masters he invites to his videos

    I'm the Taichi guy again and I totally agree. When the line goes through your center, you are giving your center away. You need to hide your center, then the force/energy goes directly to the ground. Your opponent still feels you but can't attack you. And you feel strong when you opponent doesn't know where your center is.

    Yoshi-san, would you please upload a video where you go over your stretching exercises? I mean all of the routine, from the standing shoulder rotations and arm and hip and knee rotations, all the way to the "animal" warm-up exercises, like the bear, crocodile, slug, etc. I only remember a few, so I would love to watch a video about them, especially since I'm so far away these days. Anyway, thank you regardless and all the best wishes!

    Mcdojo life brought me here. This is utter garbage. I really can’t believe what tripe is passed as self defence.

    • @outsidethegarden
      @outsidethegarden 2 роки тому

      it's not "self-defence." if you want MMA or UFC, then yes, this is a waste of your time. but if you think something must be fake, just because it looks choreographed, then you must not know much about martial arts training. don't judge until you've experienced it yourself. then you can say "well, it didn't work on me," or "okay it worked, but it still wouldn't help me in a combat situation." I wouldn't agree with you, but at least you'd have some idea what you're talking about. "that looks fake" is judging the book by its cover, and he's educating us about the book.

    • @niceguy6152
      @niceguy6152 2 роки тому

      I have tried many martial arts actually and can clearly delineate between what is effective and what isn’t. This here is complete fantasy and this guy has gone down the same route as George dillman of USA and the empty force guy from Finland. These techniques have been debunked many times. Open your eyes and look at all the criticism online from informed individuals on garbage like this.

    • @outsidethegarden
      @outsidethegarden 2 роки тому

      @@niceguy6152 that wasn't my point. I've seen plenty of videos that looked fake -- this doesn't look nearly as fake as some of them. but that's all just judging the book by its cover. I'd say, he's explaining how to create an effect that most people haven't learned to create. so he's not just showing off, pretending to be magical while his attackers fall down on cue. but that's still judging the book by the table of contents. my point is, I have worked with him, several times, and he can do what he's demonstrating. to me, to high-ranking aikidoka, with committed attacks. he's respected in the aikido community. and it does feel like magic; and he is able to teach us how to do it, at least a little. does that convince you he's legit? no of course not. that's my point: unless and until you see him in person, working with people you do respect as legit, it looks fake. and that's all you have to judge by; so you judge him to be fake. but if you ever get a chance to work with him, I believe you'll realize that there's something there that's not fake at all. will it feel magical to you? I don't know. you don't know. I hope you get the chance some day.

      To quote something trending at the moment: I don’t need to be a vet to know what a dog is. Guys like this one have been exposed many times and it’s funny how they choose to stay in a comfort zone and never branch out to mma or dodge every effort to prove the efficacy of their techniques. Google Xu Xiaodong, he is a Chinese mma practitioner who has exposed many of these deluded charlatans. Since you know this guy here’s what you can do: talk to him to meet Rob of mcdojo life (UA-cam channel) to demonstrate his “magic” it won’t cost him anything but will allow him to probe Rob wrong. Rob absolutely annihilated him in a video. By the way, talking about magic, go research the psychology and biology behind the Aikido unbendable arm trick and open your eyes.

      @outsidethegarden this just won’t help you …. Maybe it’s more mind stimulus than anything.. Only people that are believers will eat this up for many factors… I blame the mystique of ancient martial arts…. But in all honesty I think a highschool wrestler would give this instructor a rude awakening…. Despite, building the mind is good too… but you actually believe a resistant person would just allow you to do whatever you please isn’t proper either…..

      no, he's a highly-skilled student of several martial arts, particularly aikido. what he's teaching is about using your body to be free of conflict, and therefore not get stuck. sometimes it almost looks fake, but if you ever get a chance to work with him (or other high-level aikido instructors), there's something important to learn, that most of us would never imagine was possible. but of course, if what you want is hard and fast full-contact martial arts, MMA or UFC, you might not be interested in this.

    • @outsidethegarden
      @outsidethegarden 2 роки тому

      why? if someone who's never actually been in the room with a teacher claims to be sure they're "a fake," let them. they don't care enough to find out whether the teacher is actually doing anything. so maybe they're right, and the teacher is a fake. or maybe they're wrong. either way, who cares what uninformed people say? if you get a chance to be in the room with this teacher, take it. and stop worrying about what McDojo says.

      @@outsidethegarden Who is uninformed needs to be proven. Someone claiming you are fake and you claiming you're not needs to be proven to the ignorant, not to the knowledgeable. • @outsidethegarden

      @@7outofthebox747 my point exactly. you and me and McDojo trading our opinions on whether this teacher has anything to offer is just chatter. I'm not going to persuade you by lavishing praise on the teacher, and you and McDojo aren't going to convince me by claiming he can't do anything worth paying attention to. OR by "inviting him to make McDojo a believer." you may persuade random viewers, who aren't interested in actually learning about what's possible or questioning their assumptions. I'm not worried about them: it's always easier to scoff and dismiss than to go to the trouble to learn. or to question your assumptions. because I agree with you, the proof is in the experience. if someone wants to know whether this teacher can do what he claims, work with him and decide -- don't waste time talking to me. you already know I'm a believer, so either I'm a fool or I'm a liar. or possibly I've been convinced -- but that doesn't mean you'll be convinced. make up your own mind, don't expect me to make it up for you. so if you, or McDojo, want to claim this teacher can't do what he claims, well you can certainly criticize his abilities, without any actual experience or knowledge or evidence. go ahead. just don't expect me to be convinced, or impressed. as you say, "Any person with dignity, wants to keep it by presenting the truth through experiment. Anything else is words wasted."
