You guys should really do the Yakuza Franchise Journey because the storyline is worth to know and watch especially the action is badass and the story overall is worth investing emotionally
and Yakuza 0 alone is a supreme entry into a franchise if I've ever seen one...imo a masterpiece of cinematic storytelling

Glad you guys always like these, another one I couldn't recommend enough is all of lost judgments ex actions, similar to yakuza but with detectives and fighting based off of real martial arts, would love to see you guys watch that one!

by the time 6 rolls around Kiryu is just like "I'm too old for this crap". His attitude really reflects it throughout 6's story too and you can't blame the guy.

A neat thing about this game is that you can go inside stores, restaurants and the like while fighting (you can basically just take your fight around the city.) Sometimes when you cause destruction in the buildings the workers there won't give you any service due to you destroying their store, but sometimes they just do it normally as if nothing happened. The engine for the fighting game can be a silly mess sometimes, such as the ragdolls and people flying around... I love it 😂
Also the song at the end is Karaoke, like in the yakuza 0 video you reacted to. You'll find karaoke in every Yakuza game (except the first and second game originals.)
I highly recommend having a journey with this franchise. it's got such beautiful gameplay asides from the combat that I think you'd both love.

Despite brutality of these moves Kiryu is actually the nicest guy you could know... As long as you do not threaten him or anyone he cares about and your're not an actual a-hole.
Please guys do a lore video on this franchise and since Ken likes this type of Genre it's a win win
I hope you guys play one of the Yakuza games on the channel some day, I'd recommend starting with Yakuza 0 if you care about the story, since it's the first one chronologically
They're pretty long games so I hope that isn't an issue, most games I've watched you guys play aren't as long as Yakuza games tend to be
Also, the character's name is Kiryu, not Ryu, but that's pretty easy to mistake if you haven't played the game lol

You should check out the Essence/Kiwami attacks for Yakuza: Like A Dragon. They essentially replace the heat actions of the series, but they’re just as fun to watch as before

The reason for the small number of heat moves is due to multiple player characters... you should react to the other ones too ;)

Kiwami 2 and 6 uses the same engine so similar heat actions with hilarious ragdoll effects. Now react to Judgement and Lost Judgement. You might like it, it's more literal kung fu. The main character is a private detective that uses self taught kung fu.
