Fixed for me in 2019 F150 - randomly stopped working. Would charge for a few seconds and stop but only connect via Bluetooth to my truck interface. After some troubleshooting (checked my USB cable, restarted, etc...) I found that pulling down your menu, to where you see "USB Connected", tap on it. Then simply tap on "transferring files / Android auto". Mine had this option selected, I still tapped it again, and my GPS and audio came through, it is now working again. Likely Google software issue. Hope this helps someone. Phone - S22U
Tried all of this, still won't work. I have a wired connection, I turn Bluetooth off and it works initially, but then to connect my phone it requires Bluetooth to turn on, which then disconnects everything and it stops working. Round and round I go with this issue I disconnect it all Uninstall and reinstall android auto, and Bluetooth disconnects it
I've read somewhere that Update 14's broken the connection to Android Auto, but having the Beta update fixes it. You'll need to sign up for Beta updates or wait for Google to fix it.
If all of that doesn't work, what's next. It used to work but now it's not. The cable changes my phone and plays Samsung music but my phone screen doesn't connect no Spotify nothing.
Some great ideas. Thanks for the video. I am still having problems. On my Galaxy S9 (Android 10) it comes up for a second, then disappears. My wife's identical phone connects and works perfectly, so I know it's not a cable issue. What settings can I check to get this to work? I compared hers to mine and they seem set up the same. Do you have any ideas? Thank you!
Doesn't work for me either! I can play music files which are stored in my phone but can't access any apps like Google Maps or Spotify etc.I have tried everything, so has my Mazda car dealer and still can't get Android Auto to connect to car infotainment ststem. Seems to be a common problem of late. Perhaps I just switch to an ipone as my husbands Apple device works fine. I have a Google Pixel phne, you would think Google could sort out this Android problem.
My phone connects before android auto, my car is set to start android auto when my phones bluetooth connects , but it doesnt. I think the wireless adaptor takes longer to start up, so the car connects to bluetooth first(no android auto to start) then once the AA is running, the system doesnt look for it anymore. To solve it, once the car has been on for a minute, i shut off my phones bluetooth. Wait for the stereo to say its disconnected(it takes a few(10?) Seconds, maybe more) then when i turn bluetooth back on, android auto starts fine. (Also for some weird reason my phone likes to connect to my wifes phone, who is connected to the car? I have no idea why that happens, ive never bluetoothed to her phone...)
Mine connects Bluetooth plays music but google maps wont work. Old phone worked perfect but new ultra23 wont. Tries all different cables. Can you help?
Android Auto isn't part of your phone's operating system, so it may not work correctly. Contact your phone manufacturer for help. This is the issue in my device
My setup was asking for a password, The message I received said it's normally 0000 or 1234. Neither one worked. I do see one little reset hole that apparently you use something like a paper clip to reset the entire system. What would you suggest here? This is in a Previously owned vehicle so perhaps the previous owner put in a password. I'm not sure how to get around that.
My mom has a s23 and her car sees her phone but her phone doesn’t see the car, when I plug my phone in with the same cord apple car play works, any ideas?
These are generic solutions that in theory could apply to any phone, so perhaps you should change the title, because there is an epidemic or unresolved problems with the S23 from people who upgraded to it, previously having had no problems with AA
AA worked flawlessly until my brother plugged his iPhone into the car. AA fails to connect immediately after. It suggests trying a different cable or USB port... Fuck iPhones
@@alperdegirmenci i don't mean compatible to the phone, i mean compatible to Android Auto. Fast Charge Cable is not the answer. Data Transfer Cable is.
Wow what a waste of time this video was... thanks captain obvious
Same problem here too with a Pixel 2 . Bluetooth is working, USB is charging, AA is opening on phone, but won’t project on car’s display
How you fixed it?
It’s still happening with my moms phone too still not working
Having the same issue! Google pixel 6 pro

There's no Android Auto in settings as of today.
Exactly.. This video is old. No AA screen icon exist anymore. It's a ghost app.
I still have the setup screen on my s23.
@@bryanc1813 they just brought it back in Feb release looks like.

Same for me s23 phone music everything works for wireless except maps, need to use USB for maps
Fixed my problem at 0:39. I was using a cheap wire that came free with one of my electronic devices. I used a more priced wire and fixed my issue.
I used 4 wires and it didn't work. Even my Phone's legit wire

Have you thought about it maybe being a wired connection issue?

My icon is gone. It's still in my setting and will not connect my car. I've used several OEM cords
I have the same issue. Yesterday it was working suddenly it won't connect. Did u find a solution to it?
You talk faster than I can listen.
Did all that not working still
Same
Thanks for video. Looks like a cure for my problem.
2022 phone, 2024 car. Literally tried everything. Nothing works

This is what AA says
Did all this and still not working
Me too. Since i updated my phone, probably the 3rd last upgrade. 😢😢😢
Continue not working...
Pero es del 2021 para de Lante o solo al gunos ?
Nothing worked😢😢😢

yeah man next time go your car and do this video
As always on most of these....you talk too fast!
you need to buy a USB cable that's android auto compatible
What cord connects a Jitterbug phone to 2023 accord usb jack
is the original s23 usb cable not compatible? I think it is

Fast Charge Cable is not the answer.
Data Transfer Cable is.
