Ngl as a Metroid fusion fan I see a key difference between the x and the Shinju. While the shinju are based off of a life form they copied, they are individualistic in a sense, they have their own soul/personality whereas an x parasite clone, like the sa-x is kind of just a pure cold blooded killing machine. It had Samus’s emotions and memories but no empathy at all. Just cold blooded murder for the love of the game. Metroid dread kind of retcons this as the x version of the Choso dude was just as nice as the previous actual Choso dude Samus met. Either way you cooked bro 💯💯 earned a sub

I noticed the X retcon while I played Dread as well I just thought of it like the Chozo having more control of themselves than other x hosts .
