Abstract:
Open Science is an umbrella term for many research practices. Connecting them is a desire to ensure research is transparent, verifiable, and credible. This session will introduce preregistrations of research and analysis plans as one of these practices and offer hands-on experience. Our discussion will focus on the application of preregistration to your research and the benefits to your research process. We will work through one of the Open Science Framework’s preregistration templates to give you an understanding of how preregistration can be applied to your upcoming research. Building on this, you will learn how to navigate the Open Science Framework - a widely used, free, integrated platform - to assist with the management, storage, and sharing of your data, code, and research materials.
