That Paul McCartney impression is so good, he even makes his facial expressions to the point where they look alike 😂
It's really good and it's very close. He just needs to work on his vowels. "After-thot". McCartney would sound it as "After-thort".
Rellly?
It's good, not brilliant.
"Fanny" in a British accent changes the meaning entirely btw 😂 Dana Carvey gives me life
He knows, and did it anyway I think 😂😂
@@Mojothreepwood Maybe he knew the double meaning he was implying, but I doubt it.
@@swalshs2 As an entertainer he damn well should know of the double meaning. And perhaps he does, but it seemed like it went over his head.
Nice catch.
I used to work with a woman from Limerick Ireland and I learned the double meaning from her.
Are we sure that's Dana Carvey and not Gary Oldman? It might be his greatest role, Oldman playing Carvey while doing McCartney.
Saw Gary perform as an extra in one of his films, The Space Between Us (for like ten hours). Like your own personal Gary Oldman performance.
We're sure..🙄
The universe would have a major paradox.
Wait, this isn’t David spade?
Almost as good as RDJ playing a dude who’s playing another dude, and he doesn’t break character till the DVD commentary.
I liked when he described cell phones as “tiny little baby televisions that we keep in our pockets “
If Dana did this on Fallon's show, Jimmy would be cutting in every 5 seconds just so he could show off his own McCartney impersonation... which is basically why asks people to do impersonations just so he could cut in and show off his own.
which is basically why he has a show at all.
There's that stupid "Random" impression machine bit that just enables him to do Barry Gibb....Michael Palin (legend btw) once said...if you laugh before your audience does, you're not funny. Fallon is the epitome of that.
That’s why Conan is such a legend, he lets the guests do there thing and he enjoys it as much as the audience does
Ah, damn him to hell!
@@jeffmadden589 i thik hes a stooge and a patsy
Dana is slowly turning into Gary Oldman.
And Eric Clapton
And Sam Rockwell
Phil Lesh
Hell yes.
@Jose I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that ! what if this is his longtime art performance morphing into GARY OLDMAN with a dash of Eric Clapton ? lol! enjoy Halloween it's just up ahead ! CHEERS mate.
Does Lennon-McCartney impressions while looking like Eric Clapton
Man we are going to miss Conan! He is one of the best ever. Inspirational, humble, genius and a gentlemen. Love from London!
Just get hbo max in a month. 😆
He’s gonna be doing other stuff calm down bruv
still got the pod!
Wow Eric Clapton can do good Beatles impression. You learn new things each day
i wish dana would animate his beatles sketches
Send him some books on animation then
That's just the birds in the Jungle Book movie
Why don't YOU animate them?
If I was an animator, I would love to do that. Dana is a genius. It’s helped me work on my Paul impression.
Oi, brilliant idea
Waiting for Norm to come on the show before it‘s over!
now that would be sweet
Rest In Peace Norm 👑
*”It’s like God made a fanny and attached a person as an afterthought.”*
Brilliant!
Love the Beatles, Carvey and, of course, Conan! I was a bit down and this video cheered me up! It is not a bad habit to develop - McCartneyize dark times, or tough situations in your life- "Take a sad song and make it better." I hope I can develop it and use it in my own life; I think it has served Paul very well!
He does a very good Eric Clapton/ Gary Oldman without saying anything
Carvey could do an impression of Oldman doing an impression of Clapton recounting how Lennon asked him to play that concert in Toronto. With Mike Myers looking on. Oldman does great Beatles impressions and is good mates with Clapton. Rabbit Hole.
Kind of an impression inception, ye know.
OH MY GOSH YES
Very good, but “Fanny” would mean something different to Paul & John.
Gotta ask: What would it mean to them?
@@thephoenixxy Google can answer that for you. Kinda reminds me of when "The Last Airbender" was released in England. Nobody told them.
Hahah oh man I just looked it up
I thought the same thing about his use of fanny. It still works though. :D
Right… in the UK and Australia, a fanny is on the front of females. Not quite the same thing. 🤣
Farewell thee, Conan! The late night host we need, but don't deserve
My favorite version of this bit is with Dana & Conan on his podcast CNAF where Conan was a irritated Lennon. Their back & forth was hilarious. "You didn't listen to me on the White album & you don't listen to me now." Had me crying. I can imagine this as a movie where John haunts Paul as a riff on the odd couple.
John and Paul having a conversation...that‘s was soo funny! He really did them extremely well.
“And what’s ‘Fanny Two-Point-Oh’ Paul? You mean like ‘Fanny Mark II’?”
"its 2019 its a bit dated"
bro don't attack me like that
I'm still mentally stuck in Feb 2020
Many SNL favorites don't seem as funny in retrospect, but Dana Carvey is timeless.
Lennon and McCartney were poor post war kids, who grew up in the tough working class and lost their moms at a pretty young age.
They indeed have/had a pretty chill view of things.
Everything feels and sounds better when you're a chill dude.
Even the things they took very seriously.
As many Beatle fans are aware, Lennon himself was quick to point out that the image of him growing up in a poor, working class environment was vastly exaggerated, in fact the neighborhood Lennon grew up in in Liverpool was noticeably more posh than the other 3 Beatles.
Lennon went to a grammar school and later to Liverpool College of Art - not educational establishments much attended by tough working class lads. There are plenty of pictures on the internet of 251 Menlove Avenue where he grew up. It's a nice, middle class semi-detached house in a nice middle class neighbourhood. McCartney lived at 20 Forthlin Road - not as upscale as Lennon's childhood home but definitely not in a poor working class area.
@@Fordham1969 McCartney will be quick to tell folks that he and George came from humbler beginnings.
John was actually solidly middle class. He liked to play working class.
@@Fordham1969 I'm fairly certain that John would've traded that, for an intact family.
Carvey is just so deadly. One of the all time greats
Wow, as a Brit from Liverpool, I’m fascinated to hear what is good about that impression 😂 i see your Beatle john voice, and I raise you my generic American accent
Yes. He just does a sing-song voice and some Americans whoop with admiration!
It's likely that Lennon knew about rapping before he died. He lived in New York and was in the music scene. He would have been familiar with radio hits like Rapture and Rapper's Delight.
I thought that was Eric Clapton at first 😂
I really like the idea of John checking in on Paul from heaven and having a chat every now and then. 🥲
So this is what David Spade will look like in +40 years
i thought david spade was already playing ellen?
David Spade will be dead in +40 years.
They're only 10 years apart
@@coreywolf49 😳 they look at least 20 years apart!
This is what David Spade looks like now
I would love to see a cartoon of just Dana Carvey making voices
Just go back and look at the talent on his show just incredible
Dana’s podcast is a riot!
Dana Carvey is severely underrated.
Timeless Dana never goes outta style!
It’s nice to hear John’s voice again.
It's nice to see Conan laugh.
Dana Carvey has always been hilarious, but in this skit as McCartney, Dana outdoes himself! I just cannot stop laughing! I hope to not laugh myself to death. But what a way to go out that would be!
Hahahahaha!!!
Don't forget, Conan weeknights 11/10c on TBS lol
his Lennon oh my god 😂 so good
Strong impression game.
That's the funniest thing I've heard in awhile 😂
Thought it was Gary Oldman in the thumbnail 😂
i thought that was Gary Oldman for a second then when i realized it wasn't... i was quite disappointed.
Dana Carvey is one of the greatest impressionists ever and comedy screen stars/ sketch masters. Love this interview. His MCCartney and Lennon are spot on, they aren’t even my fave Beatles, hahaha! 😆🤣😂👏🏻🏆♥️❤️
Here's a band whose unsurpassed world-wide popularity has been 95% based on the writing and singing of Lennon and McCartney, and someone's favorite Beatles are George and Ringo.
Lighten up, dude. Damn. @@deanronson6331
Everything is nicer filtered through a Beatle.
the “yknow” is perfect
I really can't believe he just did a TWICE outdated Beatles joke.
Almost perfect, apart from a fanny being something different in the UK.
Dana Carvey, Conan, and Andy are the comedy dream team
Lol
So talented
Saw the thumbnail photo and thought Davis Spade was looking like an old Dana Carvey
Judging by the thumbnail I though he was doing impressions of 90s Eric Clapton.
What a Genius 😂😂😂✋
Dana Carvey now looks like a combination of Gary Oldman and Eric Clapton
That was absolutely brilliant.
Dana's explanation of Paul's explanation of the vaccine just made it scarier.
This is basically CBT :o
gee...based on the thumbnail I thought it was Dana Carvey doing a Gary Oldman impersonation
Dana Carvey & David Spade have aged into central casting for, ‘the Golden Girls.”
Wow! Look at the difference in the sizes of their heads.....Conan and Dana! Where does Conan shop for hats?
Just from the thumbnail, I knew he was doing McCartney
Carvey, one of the most talented comedians ever. Amazing knack for impersonations.
Ohhh dear
Conan has the best laugh.
We got a Jabba!!! OMG 😂
I have good ones too. Soon to be on my channel. Dana fell asleep on his deck.
I'm just impressed that he could say "Beatle-y Liverpudlian colloquialisms" without his tongue snapping off!
He looks like Eric Clapton in the thumbnail
If you want to hear not only the best Beatles impersonations but also the single greatest Micheal Caine impersonation ever, the check out Peter Serafinowicz.
He should do an Clapton impersonation because he is starting to look like him
Dana looks kinda like Gasry Coleman now lol
I thought it's Erik Clapton
Thought this was Kevin Bacon for a second.
when he said "Its a bottom with and attach puss." I died laughing.....
Dana Carvey is most likely a love child between Gary Oldman and David Spade.
Mr. Carvey is the voice after THEN AND NOW !!!!!!
His Paul is spot on in the mannerisms.
I saw Dana did this with the other master impressionist, Bill Hader. And it got Bill lol'ed.
"Well, it's not a normal bottom, John."
The one part of this that rings so true to me.
The fact that I recall her getting her bottom x-rayed to confirm no enhancement seriously bothers me. 😂
Came here thinking this was David spade
Hilarious that this is about his Lennon / McCartney impressions but he looks like Eric Clapton in the 80s
that was not even close
In this picture for the video Dana looks like Eric Clapton.
"God made a fanny and attached a person as an afterthought." - Has there ever been a more succinct description of KK?
KK?
Eric Clapton doing british Arnol. Nice
Bestial Dana ❣
Dana Carvey looks like Eric Clapton in this. lol
Lennon, "What's a 2.0?"
He sorta looks like rick springfield now.
his John needs work, but Paul is splendid
ohhhh that was so damn good ahhaah
When Dana’s Paul describes Trump to John is the best
Where can one find that?
@@waynej2608 Conan’s podcast
McCartney explaining the world to Lennon 🤣🤣
That was cool.
Who needs therapy when I could just use the Beatley voice for my anxiety like Dana! 🥰
Funny
Talented
This guy looks like Eric Clapton
Now John and George are BOTH known as the Quiet Beatles.
I hope Dana Carvey is one of those comedians who goes senile and can only talk in his old impressions.
I swear to God that's going to happen to me, and I'm not even a professional comedian.
Did a double take because I thought that was Eric Clapton in the thumbnail.
"Lennon checks McCartney every Now And Then"
