I like to think that every monster has two internal alarms that depend on the hunter. One of them is the “oh hey it’s dinner time, time to combo this hunter into oblivion” and the other alarm is “oh fuck it’s TDS”
Yeah, I had to resort to my heavy bowgun because it just couldn't deal with it's speed up close, but at least I learnt how to use it properly this time, last time I was just using it because I couldn't figure out where to hit Basarios
Don't feel bad, they do that to every weapon, though I'm hoping I don't find their insect glaive speedrun, that's the one I use when I'm feeling confident.
what if they talk too much during combat like zenoblade chronicles? for that reason I chose japanese dub and its funny how each locale and monster intro sounds like a wwe announcer
@@HeroChaserDrillStar the phial explosions are counted seperatly on their own, so majority of the time it will miss unless you have god aim and timing as shown. the hit box on the explosions are tiny you can't even hit a rathalos floating above them.
Trying to learn Charge Blade after playing Bow exclusively and watching this makes me realize that I haven't even done half the movesets in this video.
We all start somewhere and i bet you are better than i was when i started using CB. lol for some CB is easy to get into not the case for me, but it didn't stop me from maining it, good hunts to you and have fun!!
i decided to main CB for the first time in Rise, and i think i got the hang of it for the most part, but a couple matchups still give me trouble *cough Rajang *cough. I can kill him in 10-12 minutes with LS or Hammer, but with CB it takes me 20 minutes because i cant land anything on him lol
@@AysarAburrub Axe Hopper is good on Jang. You can pinpoint aerial AEDS on his head and tail and do aerial SAEDs when topples from those, or openings from a missed grab or laser beam happen.
in world ive been main GS then bow/LBG.. then after hr 100 i tried to played CB... it was a struggle.. then i literally just use CB in iceborn and so on with RISE... this fucker is just soo versatile and still hit like a damn truck.. i cant go back lol.. maybe some LBG/HBG for some cheese.. but yeah.. Guard point and SAED is just *chefkiss
I was playing around with bludgeoner on the diablos hammer, and it felt like a trap because blue sharpness still does slightly more damage. Figured I would try a charge blade in the training room to see if bludgeoner boosts power phial damage, and it does. I guess the Rajang cb is one of the few weapons where you don't have to play the brutal/dulling strike lottery to get good consistent damage from this kind of build.
that counter @2:14 this is why I love MH and CB. Also this has opened my eyes to how much better the Japanese voices are then the cringy English I've had it on. Good vid TDS
Good to know that I'm right to incorporate the condensed element discharge into my use of the charge blade as much as possible. The key is finding the openings.
I've been wondering how can you do a normal discharge when your shield is powered up. Is it an individual input or an animation cancel or something else?
@@julianquintana400 Yes it's animation cancel, you press the same buttons as if you were initiating UAED or SAED, but pull the left stick back, that way you perform AED instead which consumes one phial.
I really hope you guys check these, so a couple days ago Oppa did a video comparing now and then for MH and during the comparison he spoke and shown the weapon and hitting effects or flashiness of them when there is 4 hunter and 4 buddies at the same time. Now with that being said I found something (not hidden) but he didn't mention it so I believe he may not know. In the options, in game settings you will find an option to be able to make the "hitting effects" Less

Currently playing MHGU and comparing CB's moveset. This is insane! You don't expend shield charge with UED like Valor AND you can do UED from a guard, shield bash, AND the new valor sheath equivalent.
Fyi it's the forbidden set, it comes with amibo, the magnamalo armor looks like a samurai. I got it from Amazon it gave my palicos and palimuted the armor too. if you search monster hunter rise you might find it. Edit: it might be craftable but all I know I bought an amibo card set.
I just started maining CB in rise because I mainly used DB in mhgu, but since rise didn't have styles decided to try out CB, now looking at this video, I feel like a peasant ;-;

Specifically, blocking is incredibly powerful in Rise not because of guard points but because of Counter Peak Performance (wirebug counter, immunity + full phials on successful guard) and Counter Morph Slash, which increases the damage of your following UED and also lets you combo directly from a successful guard into UED but does not require you to.
Sorry but how did you do that amped element discharge around 1:00 when you have full phials and a charged shield? I saw someone else did that in another video but I still didn't get a reply regarding how. I can only do the SAED/UAED when i have full phials and charged shield.

I remember in world, the first hit of the SAED had some kind of "hit stop", while here it is like it goes through butter. Is it just me ?

Looks like no matter when you hit with the SAED the game already counts all the hits before the animation ends, at least that's how I see it

Just adding on to what others have said, it seems like Dune turned off camera shake, which could be part of why the explosions feel flat.

Watch some CB tutorials specifically Arekzz gaming ones and you will learn them really quickly

I recently learned how to guard point in world and I'm having so much satisfaction in guardpoint to SAED. Can't wait to try it in Rise.

They changed how CB works with load shells skill. Now instead of having more phials you get full charge with yellow sword.

after doing combo required for SAED, and arm swing starts, push analog stick back and press triangle on PS5, or X on nintendo.
the other thing you can do is press R2, and SAED will cancel into a shield charge
