There is one very specific and satisfying thing I like to do with this. When an engineer has a nest that you just can't seem to knock down, a good way to take it out is to fire a fully charged quickie, switch to loch n load, and then detonate the moment the pill hits the sentry. The single sticky is subtle and they get so little time to react that you can quickly delete even the most heavily turtled sentries. If they can't handle the single sticky in the time it takes to switch weapons, it's done. Sure, using the lnl alone is faster against an unattended nest, but this is the fastest way to launch an attack that instantly empties its health bar.
@@sampletext5959 Thats actually a stat I would remove. I would gladly change it to have the same det time as stock in exchange for a mobility buff. The short det time feels unfair to me while at the same time not actually being that important to its effectiveness.

Funny thing that you mentioned how you expected this to be good for spam. That actually WAS its original purpose when they released it because stickies used to fizzle out 2 seconds after you fired them, plus it had a slower charge time and lower damage scaling on charge, but had a 6 shot clip instead of 8. I'm not great with stickies, but I LOVE this thing if I'm going to use a launcher.
Great video! Finally someone realizes how good this thing is, once a got it i never switched back to stock. The ammo clip penalty isn't that bad especcially if you don't spam with it. That SotN music is just godly too!
The quickie bomb launcher is my main launcher because of the detonation speed you can put a sticky on someone's feet, switch to your grenade launcher and kill them instantly. It also forces me to actually learn how to use the grenade launcher because its damage isnt great

Hell yes this is my favorite weapon in all of TF2. No doubt. This sticky launcher is great for the loose cannon too. The faster explosion time helps counter close range when the loose cannon can’t and same for long range.

The quickie and resistance are great. They’re the one example of actual side grades for a purpose I can think of. Stock is versatile and can do aggressive pushing and defending well, but the resistance has a much better an economic way of trapping and holding areas, and the quickie is faster at sticky spamming and launching far ranged attacks and just all around aggressiveness.
my fetish is standing behind a wall, far-launching a quicky over it, and have it land in a sniper nest because of it's projectile arc there's literally *nothing* sniper can do against that
I love this thing. The Scottish resistance excels at defense, the stock is good for raw damage along with decent general use and destruction of buildings, and the quickie excels at long range combat as well as combat against scouts and snipers especially, which are 2 of demoman's biggest annoyances
I never really played with the Scottish resistance or quikie bomb, or even demo for that matter, butt thanks to you I had a whole hell of a lot of fun. thanks fish :)
I love pairing this thing with the Loch-n-Load on offense. Destroying sticky traps, picking iff snipers and 2-shot-destroying sentries at longer range makes this THE loadout for plowing through defenses.
"Wow, this was a great video, I hope no one else ever covers this topic ever again!" - A sentence that no one has ever unironically spoken in the history of forever
The thing I like the most about the QBL is how much extra range it gives Demo. My own dopamine fix is seeing a bomb fly _way_ far into an enemy position, and the stock launcher's charge time is disappointingly long for that.
This also makes scouts a lot easier to deal with. (Another similarity to the Direct Hit strangely.) When they rush you as demo, just putting a quickie stickie at your feet or theirs twice is so effective.
I'm so happy that someone else finally said it. Yeah 2 primaries is nice, but then your two weapons are always trying to compete for priority, but the quickie fulfills the secondary roll REALLY well.
I love this launcher purely because you can pester the snipers on the 2fort battlements from the safety of that makeshift wall on the left side of your team's battlements. Which I guess you could use that to deal with bot snipers possibly if you have a crits medic with you.
I don't play the game much, so I'm still in the 'trying stuff out' phase of this game. I've mostly liked playing medic, demoman, and pyro, and I'm still trying to get used to all of their weapons. Your videos have shown me ways to play with these weapons that I otherwise haven't thought about before, and have even got me to play more than I used to! So, in short, thanks!
The Loose Cannon + Quickiebomb Launcher Duo is like the reverse of the Stock Duo. The Cannon does the crowd control stuff akin to the Stock SBL, while the Quickie does the single target stuff like the GL.
i've been playing the quickie for a while when I was still newish because of the faster det time. i have a strange with 2k kills on it, and at that point, I just decides to use stock one day and it stayed. It made me see that both are strong in their own rights and it made me love the Quickiebomb even more. Also, sticky tank with the Quickie is fun as hell. To the point I always want to change the name of it to "Demonaut" (cuz, you know... Juggernaut + Demo? and it sounds like DemoNot which is perfect because you're not a knight.)
The thing about the sticky launchers is that, there is the sticky launcher, and it feels like with the scottish resistance and the quickie bomb launcher, they split the stock launcher into defensive and offensive launchers.
I like how Demo's obtainable secondaries emphasise specific playstyles. Like, if you want to be the ultimate defense Demoman, you can use the Scottish Resistance to guard one choke point with loads of traps. If you want to be a sticky spamming murderer, use the Quickie and become an artillery cannon. And if you're only using your stickies for mobility, you have the Sticky Jumper to zoom from one end to another. All of these playstyles are completely viable with stock, with each of these weapons focusing mainly on one style and enhancing said style.
Just started using the Quickiebomb launcher, and you make a video, same thing happened with the Scottish Resistance. Guess I'm picking the right options

I think you should name your quickiebomb launcher "Honorbound"
Great video! Finally someone realizes how good this thing is, once a got it i never switched back to stock. The ammo clip penalty isn't that bad especcially if you don't spam with it. That SotN music is just godly too!
Stock is superior anyway

_“While still having its own well balanced drawbacks”_
(Said while getting a double domination)
The quickie bomb launcher is my main launcher because of the detonation speed you can put a sticky on someone's feet, switch to your grenade launcher and kill them instantly.
It also forces me to actually learn how to use the grenade launcher because its damage isnt great
It is great if you hit pipes. Play mge.
0:52 thats why i laugh when someone says quickiebomb is bad
1:32 why i love it
you absolutely pogged yourself in that opening clip
hey man I love your videos, especially yours about the Scottish Resistance and, well now this, one. I've played demo for a quite a while and I just love each weapon, so you showing a bit of tender platonic love to this thing really warms my heart. I also gotta say off note your re-balance ideas and ways to play with it are also pretty entertaining (except when you just complain about one weapon it just comes off as whiney) and engaging, so thanks for making these.
Hell yes this is my favorite weapon in all of TF2. No doubt. This sticky launcher is great for the loose cannon too. The faster explosion time helps counter close range when the loose cannon can’t and same for long range.
After watching this video, I found out that you can use the quickie launcher can pretty quickly shoot a sticky from your roof to the enemy spawn on Harvest. It's.... kinda broken. Love it!
Wow, it’s nice to see that Demo has 2 primaries.
smaller creators like fish have such GREAT content, when youtubers become big a lot of them loses their great content like this one
thanks for making those videos man
Demoman has no bad sticky bomb launcher. Well there is the sticky jumper...
Discussion of demo weapons: *exists*
The Kritzkrieg: It's showtime.
"The scout cannot outrun death, at least not if the Quickiebomb launcher has anything to say about it."
Really enjoyed that video even though I'm not playing TF2 anymore☺️ I feel Like i have to come back once i got a better graphics card.
(Don't forget that TF2 relies more on CPUs.) I'm glad the TF2 community is slowly bringing people together :)
Tf2 uses more cpu than gpu
Ye but my 15 yo 2gb GeForce can't handle the game anymore. I could Install all those Low Graphik Max FPS Mods, but I'm to lazy to study all that stuff x)
@@quietus5769 there's nothing to study, it's so easy. Also I'm playing on a 3060 with a Ryzen 5 with the lowest possible graphic configs and getting 90 fps.
The quickie and resistance are great. They’re the one example of actual side grades for a purpose I can think of. Stock is versatile and can do aggressive pushing and defending well, but the resistance has a much better an economic way of trapping and holding areas, and the quickie is faster at sticky spamming and launching far ranged attacks and just all around aggressiveness.
my fetish is standing behind a wall, far-launching a quicky over it, and have it land in a sniper nest because of it's projectile arc
there's literally *nothing* sniper can do against that
2:36 it's so satisfying watching this clip knowing that i gave him that killstreak kit.
The huntsman and the detonator shared a night of passion over a bottle of wine, and boom, quickiebomb launcher
All sticky bombs are all good in their own way. You did a good job for not putting them are in bad weapon academy
Stock the best, then quick then Scottish
I love this thing. The Scottish resistance excels at defense, the stock is good for raw damage along with decent general use and destruction of buildings, and the quickie excels at long range combat as well as combat against scouts and snipers especially, which are 2 of demoman's biggest annoyances
I never really played with the Scottish resistance or quikie bomb, or even demo for that matter, butt thanks to you I had a whole hell of a lot of fun. thanks fish :)
"Special Thanks To These Generous Donators"
*shows a guy send him 2 weapons*
well it's still a donation
1 scrap
2 Scorch shots to be exact
I love pairing this thing with the Loch-n-Load on offense. Destroying sticky traps, picking iff snipers and 2-shot-destroying sentries at longer range makes this THE loadout for plowing through defenses.
"Wow, this was a great video, I hope no one else ever covers this topic ever again!" - A sentence that no one has ever unironically spoken in the history of forever
2:43
something in common, like, destroying enemies stickbombs?
You got my attention at the "countering Snipers".
Congrats, you shall be rewatched as background noise while I grind a spike suit so I don't go insane.
dont even give ya enemies a chance to see the bloody bombs!
Yeah pub scouts
4:01
And then he made a video of it anyway lmao
I'm so happy that someone else finally said it. Yeah 2 primaries is nice, but then your two weapons are always trying to compete for priority, but the quickie fulfills the secondary roll REALLY well.
Finally someone talking about this weapon
I find quickies very underrated
getting ranged doublekills with the quickie gives me more dopamine than hitting doubledonks
extra points if it is a double dom or a crit
I fell bad for rolling crits - Especially with stickies considering how broken those are under those effects
So imma disagree with that one, chief
@@metalslug55516 fair enough
Now you have artificially inflated the prices of strange and Killstreak quicky bomb launchers!
Hint for all of those who complain about it only being made for spamming…
…just use it like a stock sticky launcher. These things stick for a reason.
The Cannon does the crowd control stuff akin to the Stock SBL, while the Quickie does the single target stuff like the GL.
congrats and welcome to the "Not just stock" camp my dude :)
i've been playing the quickie for a while when I was still newish because of the faster det time. i have a strange with 2k kills on it, and at that point, I just decides to use stock one day and it stayed. It made me see that both are strong in their own rights and it made me love the Quickiebomb even more.
Also, sticky tank with the Quickie is fun as hell. To the point I always want to change the name of it to "Demonaut" (cuz, you know... Juggernaut + Demo? and it sounds like DemoNot which is perfect because you're not a knight.)
it's so rare for me to get this weapon in a random drop and even rarer I see somebody actually using it.
The thing about the sticky launchers is that, there is the sticky launcher, and it feels like with the scottish resistance and the quickie bomb launcher, they split the stock launcher into defensive and offensive launchers.
the boots sticky combo is called a stickytank and it is my entire religion in tf2
I have smoked an entire lobby with this abomination of a subclass
"I adore the quickiebomb launcher"?
I think you mean "We adore the quickiebomb launcher"
5:06 ngl, that was pretty sweet
Loved the video and also loved the music haha. SOTN easily my favorite Castlevania game.
The symphony of the night music in the background is goated
Just started using the Quickiebomb launcher, and you make a video, same thing happened with the Scottish Resistance.
Guess I'm picking the right options
Watching you play, it looks like the quickiebomb launcher is good for learning awareness during fights and keeping an eye out for vulnerable enemies
I'm happy you finally hear someone talk about the quickie bome launcher And how good it actually is
Been exited for this video since the announcement it was coming. I absolutely love the quickiebomb launcher.
So is this Good Weapon Academy?
