I have never, ever heard a band sound so much like the record version as they do live, this is amazing, four genuine lads and four instruments making something like this.....im inspired.....
+Liam Davidson I agree completely. I was lucky to be at the Houston show this past Sunday, and they did Cold Arms standing around a single mic. It gave me chills.
So give me hope in the darkness that I will see the light Cause oh they gave me such a fright But I will hold as long as you like Just promise me we'll be all right......💖
Yeah. I mean geez, they travel the world and sell out STADIUMS and entire ARENAS for their shows. They are criminally underrated. *eyeroll* They have barely been recognized for their work at all!! SO underrated.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_awards_and_nominations_received_by_Mumford_%26_Sons
amazing song, been listening to Mumford & Sons for over a year and I have to say this is one of my favorites. It just makes you happy when your down and there's no better song to sing out aloud!
8 years ago my son who was successful in his own right was attacked and left for dead...was on life support for 3 days .it has been a long long road...its crazy but this is how he communicate with me...the tbi he has never be the same...but when he texts me a song from m and s I know he is ok.
I wish their new album had more of this earthy and raw underproduced vibe that grips your heart and soul... the kind of lyrics and melody that move you but you don't even know why. They kind of lost their sound in Wilder Mind, they wandered too far away from home.
Chama C I agree, but the new album isn't bad at all. Feels thin, compared to the heavy first two albums that had some songs that took multiple times listening to appreciate and I like that a lot. I want more acoustic guitar and banjo in the next album, and even though I appreciate a different voice from the band in terms of lyrics, I want Marcus to write all the songs next album.
He says that no matter what version it is. That was the only line during the original and then they added, "bury by heart next to yours," on the new one.
You know a band is good when they sound better in a stripped down recording like this than on the album. Things like autotune and various mixing softwares will improve the way amateurs sound on an album but it justs gets in the way when you're recording professionals.
+Deanna Brooke their songs mean very different things to different people. Incredible music like this is art and is therefore open to interpretation. This song hits home for me in a different way that it may hit home for you, and thats okay.

Two other bands I have seen that do that, Turin Brakes and the Stereophonics....Look 'em up
That was also my very first thought. One of my very favorite songs.
There's something so pure about his voice in this song. I think it's my favorite of all M&S songs. It's great to harmonize to as well.
+Iris Addison Their song "Only Love" has the same effect in my opinion.
+Liam Davidson I agree completely. I was lucky to be at the Houston show this past Sunday, and they did Cold Arms standing around a single mic. It gave me chills.
+Iris Addison That sounds amazing!
+Liam Davidson They did Timshel, then Cold Arms. It was the best concert ever.
Years later, this is still my favorite song. Amazing
Love this song I dedicated it to my friend my dog who I had to put down recently..
When he says, "and the ghosts, that we knew, will flicker from view..." my heart does a flip and I smile widely 3 3 3
There are no words. This is just.........my favorite song.
thank god there is still hope for good pure music
So give me hope in the darkness that I will see the light
Cause oh they gave me such a fright
But I will hold as long as you like
Just promise me we'll be all right......💖
Still my favorite Mumford song❤
Beautifully structured song. Piano, rhythm everything builds great tension, breaks with banjo... remarkable.
Newbie to this group. I’ve known of them since the beginning but thought they were a Country band. I cannot get enough!
These guys are soooo underrated. It’s really crazy I mean VERY underrated

I mean they did win album of the year so I wouldn’t say they are underrated. One of my favorites, ain’t hating but wouldn’t say they’re underrated
You know they're good when this is so much better than the recorded album version!
Mumford and Sons- heart, soul, musicianship, just everything. Love their music
This is such a fantastic song. And i just kind of stumbled upon it by accident.
Oh my god Marcus melts my heart I'm dying
Their music touches my soul.
amazing song, been listening to Mumford & Sons for over a year and I have to say this is one of my favorites. It just makes you happy when your down and there's no better song to sing out aloud!

So Beautiful :) I have never seen another person connect to a song the Way Marcus Mumford does, he is amazing, all of Mumford and Sons are amazing :)

Stop, this is Mumford & Sons. Not ColdPlay or a grease oil burning comment section. This song is great, thank you for the post
Love this song! Omg I feel it's one of their many top songs!
Beautiful song...
This music will always be great. Their music can't be replicated. I love these guys.

I had a dream about this song recently...it’s been so long since I heard it. Starts at 3:20❤️
That piano 😩❤️❤️❤️
Got to see them in 2013. Best show I've ever seen, ranking up there with Avett Brothers & Petty.

No words to describe. Just amazing.

Mumford and Sons take me to paradise....♥'s
amazing music! I want to hear their song Babel live :)
He says that no matter what version it is. That was the only line during the original and then they added, "bury by heart next to yours," on the new one.
Winston's high pitch voice!
This is perfect.
simply amazing

To me, the new Simon & Garfunkel
Amazing

JR H SDFSDF
Damn.. just up to be 10.... they really look bored living in this earth
Seriously!
Ejits i would think, al tho the live version with the fat fella on the violin is prob the best version!

I have 3 tattoos inspired by this song
♡
Bara lyssna och känn i
down with zionism
psshhhtt... wow, you got quite an ear for music there ladfemax
...how does this sound like coldplay? Show me one song where coldplay folks out on banjos
wish they had a louder pickup for the guitar, all i heard was the pick hitting the strings
do ppl not even understand that this is a song to the Lord?
+Deanna Brooke their songs mean very different things to different people. Incredible music like this is art and is therefore open to interpretation. This song hits home for me in a different way that it may hit home for you, and thats okay.
Faye Gershman axiom
doesn't quite work the same without the violin. Love the song though.
"burn in grease oil?" wtf is wrong with you?
you obviously seek lethargy from your music
indeed. folky coldplay.. thats ok
he's gotta shave that molestache
