Yes I would recommend the Alice Caroline book. As a novice quilter, I find it easy to use & I love the concept of learning many blocks whilst making one quilt all with Liberty print fabric ! (although of course you can use any prints) . I too adore books & manage to buy more by buying second-hand (AbeBooks, Awesome books are great as you only pay one delivery fee). Other recently purchased second-hand are: "Embroidered Wild Flowers" by Kazuko Aoki (I'll be buying more of her books), "Crewelwork Inspirations: 8 of the world's most beautiful crewelwork projects, to delight and inspire)" & I've ordered Fleurs Woods' "The Untamed Thread: Slow Stitch to Soothe the Soul & Ignite Creativity" which I had to buy new but that's my xmas pressie to myself ! 😉 Bonnes fêtes de Noël from the French Pyrenees.

You mentioned a tutorial on making box pouches on your Patreon channel ...where do I find that? I am a Patreon member of your channel, but find it a bit hard sometimes to find specific things. Was that perhaps an older tutorial?

Hi Sherry, Thank you I have received my latest order and put my wish list in for Christmas to order another stitch box. I would really recommend the Alice Caroline Sampler quilt blocks book. The instructions are really detailed and easy to follow. I plan to maybe make a few over the Christmas break. They are little and easy to complete quickly to make up a quilt. Hi Sherry, happy to hear about your projects… currently I’m making some socks for gifts out of Nutiden. Have you heard of it? I’ve got a good collection of many colors and it’s fun to play with the colors in small projects. I’m also spinning some merino for a weaving project. I’ve started testing the waters in some hand dying and hope to use it for the weaving. Hi Sherri, First of all I want to Thank you so much for your gorgeous box that I ordered the Autumnul colours! Everything in that box took my breath away when I opened it! So carefully and beautifully wrapped just the opening of the box was an experience. So I had to order the beautiful Snow box its on its way and just wanted to Thank You so much. My children wont be spending Christmas with us until end of January next year due to work commitments unfortunately plus they are 600km away from us in Sydney so the stitch box was something to keep me busy and happy until then. I will be enjoying it. Thank You Sherri for all that you do. Enjoy your beautiful Snow Christmas its 35 degrees here today so we are sweltering in the heat atm. I look forward to my Christmas parcel from you.

Sherry, thank you so much for holding on to our Canadian boxes...it's a very trying time as this affects not only personal postal services, but small businesses as well. Even the larger private carriers like UPS and Purolator have stopped accepting Canadian parcels...it hurts everyone, particularly this time of year. ❤ I'd even suggest you hold onto them for a week or two after the service resumes, there will no doubt be a deluge of mail and I'd hate to see our parcels get lost ...they are precious to us!😊

I'm making a box pouch using the curated fabric in the box I got

Fabric scraps are hard to toss away....the colors and textures draw me in and get tossed in a bin, or two. I am fortunate to have been handed down bits and pieces of my grandmothers' stitching lives...buttons, threads, needles, old fabrics, bits of laces, stand cloths that they, or their mothers, had stitched themselves. Their love of stitching was passed down to my sister and I. My paternal grandmother taught me to embroider at a young age, 8 years. I still recall (at 71 years old) how it felt to sit next to her on a winter afternoon and learn a new embroidery stitch. Such a treasure.

Rather over dramatic and stylised for my taste, I mean the video not the wonderful stitched project.

You can make a pocket for a tee or jacket or your denims, a journal cover, a decorative pillow (you can buy pillow forms in many sizes at craft stores), or if you're really ambitious, even a window or shower curtain (liner underneath for this one). You can work each small piece individually (while watching TV? Or listening to a book?), then put them together into a larger project. So many ideas ... thank you @sherryiris. The colors used in your knitting project are the exact colors that I chose in a floral print for my bedroom wallpaper when I was in high school. I love that color combination and wish I could find that wallpaper again! It was a beautiful, natural, and yet somewhat whimsical pattern. Very earthy and so me.
