Corey Taylor is one of the most dynamic and diverse voices our world has had the privilege of speaking to its ears bro. Corey Taylor raps, screams, guttural growls, sings.. His stupid crazy high notes in his early Stone Sour days are ridiculous if you are used to his Slipknot and modern Stone Sour styles. Either way, check out Corey Taylor's acoustic live shows. You'll be blown away most likely.
My favorite Slipknot video is "Before I Forget". In which they can be glimpsed without masks. Needless to say, the song is also great otherwise I wouldn't share it, not being a huge fan of the band.
I think it's important for people to express themselves, including artists. And sometimes this can get us into uncomfotable areas. Slipknot's "Slasher-masks", angry music & videos do suggest "violence". But the lyrics suggest alienation and emotional depression. If Slipknot does not actually sing "Go kill your neighbor", the message remains ambigouse. But I agree, "This is not music you should listen to while driving." But lets face it, right now some people ARE driving to Slipknot!
I drive to Slipknot all the time. Metal is cathartic.
Yes that is the double pedal/double kick drum.
The double petals watch joey play this live look it up it gives you a personal close up of him playing
🔥🔥🔥☮️💜🤘 I love their song, The Devil in I, beautifully macabre.
He says visually its fire 😆
Waiting for Disasterpiece live London 2002
Great Reaction. Keep it up champ!
Have you checked out Spit It Out live by Slipknot? You'll get a good idea of how crazy one of their concerts can be.
Feed Love! Starve hate. 🤘
There have been many artists that are famous by name, but not by faces or personalities... Slipknot are known for the masks, but they keep changing them over album cycles... Corey Taylor (vocals) is the most famous because of Stone Sour (he performed unmasked)... but it is all about the music for sure...
U can go back to Pink Floyd in the 70's... David Gilmour (vocals/ guitar) had said that Pink Floyd weren't The Beatles... and they didn't have the famous faces up front like Mick Jagger & Keith Richards (The Rolling Stones) or Roger Daltrey & Pete Townshend (The Who)... Instead, Pink Floyd had this bass player (Roger Waters) who glared at the audiences and didn't exactly win fans over live... So, Pink Floyd stayed faceless throughout their careers. Their weird imagery was what was essential to make music fans take notice of their music. And it worked - after Roger Waters left the band in 1984, Pink Floyd toured without him in 1987... and no one cared because no one recognized any band members when they played live.
70's bands like Boston and Styx also had no famous personalities that people could recognize... while the bands played arenas and stadiums.
Tool is another band that refused to appear in their music videos and let the weird imagery speak to fans w/ their music... Even on stage, Maynard James Keenan (vocals) never appears in front of the stage like most singers - he sings from the back in the shadows...
GWAR is a band that performs in costumes, props and masks since the 80's... which allowed them to change members frequently. But they were kind of a joke band and were more about visual entertaiment... not necessarily their music (which was pretty mediocre)... But they could put on a spectacle on stage w/ colored water as blood... executions of famous figures... and even a giant T-Rex battle 😂
Mushroomhead are a band from Cleveland, Ohio that also wear masks and perform.... Not quite as heavy or prolific as Slipknot, but they could have been bigger if they played longer sets and worked harder for their success.
More, Slipknot:
The Devil in I 🔥🔥🔥
Great reaction to psychosocial, love your reaction to it. I'm glad that you're open to experiencing different music genres. Try Slipknots wait n bleed or spit it out next, both are really great songs to react to. And hope you have a great day! 😊
If you like the double bass pedal, listen to sulfur
Listen to Corey Taylor playing guitar and singing Bother and Snuff at a London show, great audience and you can hear Corey's pure 🔥🤘vocals. Dude can sing. Chills.
Spit it out by slipknot live at down load i believe 2009 will blow your mind😊
Music shouldn’t be boring, and is all open to interpretation. Everyone thinks Marilyn Manson is a devil worshiper. Totally not true.
Can we get some “wait and bleed”🩸
😅
gotta do the studio version and not the music video, as that's the Terry Date mix which is softer
The circle with the nine pointed star is known as a nonagram.
Best part about this all is that you haven't reacted to anything from their first 2 albums yet where they're really unhinged 😂
MMBxMOB you should hear Away by Cam Cole next. Very natural and chill. Great, great song. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Cory Taylor
Dude, you might wanna check out some Mudvayne and System Of A Down. So much talent man.
If 85% of serial killers liked ice cream, should we blame ice cream? No. But "art" isn't always blameless. People with sick tendencies will seekout art that confirms their inclinations. A potential School Shooter would enjoy playing first-person-shooters. A potential Rapist would watch agressive porn. A depressed person considering random violence might listen to Slipknot. Angry music is not the "cause", but sometimes it's a "symptom". We are not "sick", yet we enjoy this music too?
Did a little dive into your reactions, love the style, love the energy, throwing in my recommendations.
Alexisonfire : boiled frogs
Jinjer : pisces
ATC, the ready set : I wanna get better
Utsu-P : ogre
Seether, Amy Lee : Brocken
Dub-fx : I never made it
It's time for some blues "Blue Jean Blues" by ZZ TOP
Oh shit ! That’s one badass song. He’s going to have to get ready for the blues !
The mask allows them to be them self under the mask
Like your reactions
Recommend you to react Before I Forget, or if you want to see all their madness you could start reacting to live shows, they don't fall behind live, my suggestions would be Spit it Out, Dissasterpiece or People=Shit
Your next one is gonna have to be "Before I Forget". It's the only way
Wanna hear just how impressive his voice is do Snuff next
React Joey Jordison
I'd like to see your reaction to the video to the song Watch the world burn by the band Falling in reverse. I'm not sure if you've already seen it but it's a visual and audio 💎 gem
Please Linkin Park
Music is spiritual. It's positive or negative. There's no in between. The mssg in the lyrics is essential. Music is very subliminal. Satan is the prince of the power of the air. He LED all the music in Heaven before he fell into pride. He's very adapt at using it to vex societies. Other songs are angelic and healing. They soothe and relax. Holy Spirit seals his ppl. Devil can only mark his. It's coming!!!
Wtf r u talking about?
Hail Satan!!!!
@@coreywickramasekera9968 in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, GET BELOW MY FEET!!!
Slipknot=unsubscribed bye.
What's so bad about Slipknot
Always a shame to see people be narrow minded, I wish you the best though.
What are you looking for Lisa ? Maybe it’s best that you go away. I think you’re just looking for attention
Bye 👋
Don't let the door hit you on the way out
Your next reaction should be wait and bleed great song and will settle you into the heavier side a little more than psychosocial (and don't do the music video that's the soft version)
