Same, a bunch of my homies grew up listening to them. They are rad though and I wouldn't turn them off or skip them if they were to come on. He was a sick ass drummer and left a good impression on this place with many people loving him.

Sadly I just found out about his passing. I can't say I'm a big fan of Slipknot either, hell I'm not even a big fan of the genre. But his abilities were barely even human. Joey was, and still is, an absolute God amongst drummers. RIP

Here after reading the news, I'm actually fucking crying dude, first Paul now Joey, I've been a musician since I was three years old and Slipknot was the band that got me to have your music at a later age.
I was in shock when I found out his departure from the band but now I'm in agony knowing that he's no longer with us.

I've always been mesmerized by that entire concert. I've been to four, always amazing, but nothing can recapture the ghost of that time.

Coming back to this after finding out that Joey passed in his sleep. Honestly the best drummer that I had ever seen and it’s a shame how he left this place. Hopefully he’ll be reunited with Paul in the afterlife.

My sister back in the 2000's was an intense Slipknot fan. She would sit me down on her lap when I was a baby and watch Joey's upside down drum solo together. I don't remember any of it of course but she told me "You for some reason always smiled and laughed when watching that clip, it was really awesome seeing a new born baby enjoy Slipknot".
