I have a Dixie narco 501 and am testing vending water bottles with some thin plastic very squishy 16.9s. Just found out through a lot of trial and error that to vend them with no issues I have to make sure to stack them no higher than halfway and everything vends smoothly
For bill acceptors....go with MEI/MARRS 2702 units....they are more reliable than the Coinco BAs. As for coin acceptors, I like the MARRS CF7512 because it has 5 tubes and can hold dollar coins. I haven't made a video of installing a bill acceptor yet, but I did make a video on swapping out a coin mech...you can watch it here: ua-cam.com/video/lA5n3BfA5yo/v-deo.html
Great video. I have a Dixie Narco 501e that I bought a shim kit to change it from bottles to cans. In a couple of the slots sometimes it will vend 2 cans when a selection is made. The kit came with rods but I was told I didn’t need to use them so IO didn’t install them. Like I said only a coiuple of slots vend 2 cans sometimes. Any ideas?
For cans, you should put the rods in the rotors. You don't need the rods for 20 oz bottles. Are you sure you have the cam settings correct for the columns that double vend?
@@HappyVending Yes I have the cams correct. You have a video on here explaining the rod installation? There’s multiple holes, unsure of which one to place the rods in.
I have a question regarding the product stop where the first bottle or Can rest upon when you put it in the machine. I'm trying to change the product size from a fat can to a slim can (330ml = 12oz) in a Royal Vendors 804, but can't seem to find the right carriers to avoid the products either getting stuck or falling out of the machine.
Awesome video! I have a G3 and I’m running 20 oz water bottles. After 7 sales the bottles will jam against the clamp. What do you think I should do? Should I switch to 16.9 and buy the bottle helper you showed here in this video?
Are they Dasani or Aquafina 20 oz bottles? You probably just need to set the side product stops to the wide product setting. The G3 machines do not use the bottle shim that I used in this video...that is just for the Merlin IV machines.
giii machines do not use shims. You can your the friction pads in the columns of the Giii machines....but you may need to set your product stop if it's not set for the dimension of the product you're vending.
Must say your videos are always very informative, several of them have come to my aide👌🏼. I have the Royal 650 & Im dealing with a bit of a jam with 20oz Dasani water bottles if I stack more than 12, I would like to try the friction sheets you mentioned, however none of yhe suppliers Ive talked to in Houston know what Im referring to, where did you buy the ones from the video and/or is there another name for them? Also any ideas on how I can get a few more of them stacked inside, its a pretty big seller and this machine is pretty far away to travel that frequently? Thanks in advance!
I bought the friction sheets direct from Royal. They should have them in stock...call them at 1 800 931 9214. Are you sure you are vending 20 oz Dasani bottles? If they're 20 ounce they should be vending bottles and shouldn't jam any easier than 20 ounce soda bottles.
It all depends on the part you're looking for. Honestly, I buy most of my parts direct from the manufacturers, Royal Vendors or Crane. I've also gotten parts from D&S Vending and Snack Attack Vending.
@@victorescobar2737 It could be a bad motor or wiring harness. To narrow down the problem you could try swapping the motor with one that you know is working. See if the problem follows that motor.
I have a Dixie norco DN 276E MC/S11-7 I have 16.9 water bottles in there and there coming out 2 at a time on free vend should I change to 20oz , maybe the water bottles I have are to weak or to squishy?
So maybe like 6 total in one aisle 3 in the back and then 3 in front? I’ve been stacking them straight up like 5 at a time w/o any in the back …but I’ll try that thank you BILL .
Well, you really need to narrow down the problem. Do you have change in your coin mech? Do you have product in the machine? When you go to the Error menu, is the machine listing any errors? Did this machine ever work for you? Did anything change from when it did work?
Since it's MDB it should be CC ready. You might not got cash sales reports through the software unless you have an updated board...but it will still vend fine from credit and cash.
@@HappyVending awesome thank you. I pretty much only have DN but somebody gave me the royal 650 and a seaga snack machine so I couldnt pass up free 99! I enjoy your content.

Thanks for masking up, Bill. A thousand miles and 3 years is safe spacing.

Do you sell combos? And where are you located?

From the perspective of a user, getting two cans for one is like winning the lottery.

I think Royal might sell a special shim for the giii machines for thin cans like red bulls. Contact Royal and see if they are still available.
These directions also apply to Royal 660??? Do I need a shim???
The 660 machines have adjustable product stops and do not need shims.

So on a 501e the shims for the cans and 16.9 bottles are the same? Just need to move the backstop right??
Actually, I think you use the bottle shim with the 16.9 bottles, but leave the rod in the rotor.
Does my royal vending cc660-9 use these type of shims. I'm having a bottle jam issue.

Yeah...16.9 water bottles don't vend real well from a 276e. You should be using the can shim and keep the stack lower.
