Send your cylinder and head to pro circuit or someone 2-strokey, with 1-2-5 experience. Proper porting will make a huge difference, especially to a guy at your level. 😉 That carb is gonna really pep things up for sure, proper jetting is HUGE on a 125. Also. If you could source some NOS MUGEN parts, especially one of their cylinders, it would make big gains. They had some awesome CR stuff back in the day. Factory parts for the privateer.
Love your Channel. I have a quick question for you and Joey. Do you guys know the correcting timing on the cr125? I have 02. Just wondering if the correct lining of the fly wheel is aligning the two marks or the single? Thanx. Keep on Making those awsome vids
Hey Jeff I got a question. In your honest opinion. Should a person who wants to make it pro should they see about buying a new stock yz250f or get a full mod 2015 yz250f that's pumping 49hp
I think most pro-amateurs have sponsors who help out with that sort of thing. Its not quite like factory, but you can get pretty good discounts from sponsors for mod parts.
I put a Lectron carb on my 02Rm250 which is a pita to jet. Now it runs so fresh and crisp and cleaned up bottm end a ton and no more jetting!!!!!!!!! Oh and also added the v force reeds👊✊💨
heya master Jeff!!! I was wondering if you had a music playlist that you are using for your videos. they got a good flow and in my opinion would be sick to head bump to on the way out to and at the track. hook it up bro:D
@jeff walker A good way to really wake the bike up is to weld the power valves open. I did it on my cr 250 and the bike was completely different after. The bike was an animal after I did it
Mike Mcgill Yea, the power valves are kinda useless, it just adjusts the amount of power you get throughout rpm ranges so for example, peak power is a high rpm, when they are welded open you get the most power the bike can have at that certain rpm range.
Matt Lenny Moore most companies make aftermarket pistons for them, they can just get the stock bore measurements from Honda and pretty much make identical pistons.
Make sure u break it in and run a few heat cycles on it with out giving it any gas just idle it up and let it run for ab 10 minutes let it cool and repeat
not saying Jeff is but he did say he’s not much of a mechanic and I my self and my family are a long line of engine builders it is not okay to run a fresh top end wide open it needs time to break in and let the rings seat.
@@JeffWalker84 I guess not :p After I posted that I realized you might be able to drain from a hose if you only needed to drain the radiator and wanted to conserve coolant. Just seems like too much extra mess though lol.
Man my next bike is a Honda for sure! You can't do a top end in my yamaha without taking the whole motor out of the bike. The frame just doesn't allow the space for it.
@@samrohr7771 It's an 06 but its also an 85. Although I still feel you should be able to do stuff like that. You can't even fit a compression tester in there.
How do you think that is rich. Look at the probe on the plug not the threads. That’s lean! If it’s white it’s lean. Brown is about perfect and black is rich
Rookie mistake buying piston before measuring the bore size properly, looking inside a bore on sight is bad u need to de grease and measure with microm.. and wash the bike before you work on it any debree is to much will help the motor last longer in the end
it is not normal that you have exhaust valves mechanically managed whereas from 2004 he put an "electronic" valve system with a small electric motor that manages it 🤔
Jeff Walker Well, I did not know at all because I have it is and it suits me but hey you open the handle strongly 😂 in any case you taught me something 👌🏼
Haha no problem man! The only reason I knew is because I could only find 2004's for sale and wondered why everyone was selling theirs. After looking into it, it's because nobody liked the electronic power valve on it. People like different things though! I'm glad you like yours
Yo,Wut up,I have an 06 CR 125 that I’m Building,I Bought a Lectron carb so I’ll be asking some Questions on how to Tune it in the Future,I Just Subscribed to your Channel so Hopefully I’ll hear Back from you….2strokes Rule🦾💥👽
You guys excited to see this beast hit the track with the new upgrades?
Yyyeeeeaaas
💯🤙
Looking forward to seeing the Lectron comparison. Think about getting one for my 04 CR250
Can't wait! :)
Jeff Walker yeah I’m hyped and ps:I absolutely love your videos and how entertaining they are so keep up the good work...PLEASE REPLY
I’m still a 2 stroke believer love to see that 2 strokes are making some what of a come back!
Looking forward to seeing it on the track. Hoping to iron my 125's week bottom end as soon as weather permits.
"Im not gona lie it is pretty slow " hahahah yeah it sounded flatter then a diet coke. Jk good vid good luck
hello that oil and what percentage of mixture you put on your cr 125
Take the radiator cap off when draining coolant and it goes so much faster😜
We did! You can see it come out slowly at first, then we took the cap off and it came shooting out. Thanks for the advice though!
Great video! Man I love that restyle kit on the cr😍
Thanks man, the restyle kit is a must for the old hondas!
you think lectron can hook up a discount code? I wanna get one for my 125.
Hope you Vlog the day of the Daytona, love to see that bike in a race!
Harbor Freight tools to the rescue 😂👍🏻
I just put a lectron on my 01 cr125 and it made a noticeable difference and is so much easier to tune. Hopefully it kicks ass for you too
9:19 “it’s a red bike what can I say”. Yesterday: I sold all the Honda’s for a husky
I'm older now...wiser. haha

Lectron is awesome on my kx125. Changed the bike. From the second I started it I knew it was on!
did you guys have to hone the cylinder?
Just curious, did you guys check the ring end gap? Also what 2 stroke top end break in procedure do you follow?
aircooled ADV Also did you guys used a torque wrench for the head bolts? Thats pretty sketchy if not
Great video man thanks for sharing

When are u going to get a yz125 and yz250 2 stroke 03 and newer even a yz250x 2 stroke
This is just awesome man!! keep it up!
Hey Jeff I got a question. In your honest opinion. Should a person who wants to make it pro should they see about buying a new stock yz250f or get a full mod 2015 yz250f that's pumping 49hp
If you've already got experience on a bike then the modded bike will be your best option imo

4:10 to skip the bs.

Very excited to try it out! Glad you like yours
My 01 rm was impossible to jet right that thing ruined multiple sets of gear with all the spooge it would shoot 😂😂
@@tmk5522 I still own a white set of gear and my jersey has black spots all over the back lol
You should try to run the pro day at Daytona
Fits the TPS with the Lectron?

It’s really to make the bike more reliable but, it didn’t work out like they planned ( for the older models, the newest bikes had them worked out)
Awesome! Id love to do this to my Yz 125. What are you recording with?
GoPro Hero 7 Black
Not hating but how did you know what size piston to get without stripping the engine and measuring the barrel?
Matt Lenny Moore most companies make aftermarket pistons for them, they can just get the stock bore measurements from Honda and pretty much make identical pistons.
Need to rebuild that haircut 😂
@
MoTo_Tech_Braap_it out - It's a tight call between which is worse - his haircut or the background music !
The ama rule is 5 years. Or newer. ..its in the rulebook
Did u shave them rear number plates?
Nice vid. Just got a cr250 thinking about a Lectron also
It’s in such good condition because of it being a little richer and that it’s a red bike. Can’t forget that
What’s up with that CR 250 in the back????
More rebuild and maintenance videos would be great even if you’re recording what others are maintaining for you
wait so you mean, you use the coolant drain bolt to drain the coolant 🧐 i really hope there isn’t that many people trying to drain it from the top...
Hey, you got the Conan Obrien haircut!
Hey man ur awesome would love meet you someday
weird question but where did you get that monster energy shirt? its pretty sick
Mxon tee shirt
Yep, I got it from a Moto Tee's truck at MXoN at Redbud
Awsome!!
Make sure u break it in and run a few heat cycles on it with out giving it any gas just idle it up and let it run for ab 10 minutes let it cool and repeat
nahh, think i'm just gonna go straight into wide open heater laps!
Jeff Walker lol, hope your being sarcastic but can’t wait to see you rip it
DeadlyVapes Breaking in a 2 stroke wide open is fine dawg
hes a pro rider , I think he knows how to break in a bike man lol.

Hey I think that might be an 04 because I don’t think that the 05s had power valves cause they didn’t have it good
It's an 05. The 04 had an electronic power valve which really sucked apparently.
Jeff Walker yea I have an 04 and it seems to be fine but I have heard that before, thanks for replying and making awesome videos
why would anyone drain their coolant from anywhere but the bottom of the loop?
Some people don't know it's there I guess!
@@JeffWalker84 I guess not :p
After I posted that I realized you might be able to drain from a hose if you only needed to drain the radiator and wanted to conserve coolant. Just seems like too much extra mess though lol.

You want to get rid of your stock carb?
Can you please make a cr 500 video?
Man my next bike is a Honda for sure! You can't do a top end in my yamaha without taking the whole motor out of the bike. The frame just doesn't allow the space for it.
Try a weeeee harder and i bet it will come out...
What year yamaha? I had an 06 yz125 and was able to do top ends without taking the motor out.
Your frame must be fucked ive never had to do that on my yamahas

I love your vids
Cool
Would u sell me your old carb off the 125?
Looks like Cole seely, gets haircut, looks like Adam Lz
Two badasses, I'll take it! haha
Didn’t know you had a 250 too
It's Joey's! Possibly riding it today though. Stay tuned
Sweet. Y’all stay out there today

Must be nice! I payed full price for a lectron and it took them almost 3 weeks to get one to me. Smh

2004 was the only year they did the electronic power valve. It sucked so bad, they went back to mechanical for 05-07
