I thought about buying Panthera 600cc this year but decided not to yet because nobody had tried it yet. It is perfect size big bore 2-stroke for racing. Not too long stroke like Maico 700cc so it should rev higher. Nice to see you trying it so i can decide if i buy it too.
The pipe reminds me of watching big bore quads and two stroke buggies at half dirt/half loose road supermoto/rallycross meetings years back ! Big two strokes are cool 😎 5:46
When you guys are done testing it as a “MX” bike, send that thing over to Alaska and I’ll put a Timbersled kit on it and race it at the hill climbs in April.
I noticed that Sean checked to see the front wheel cleared that big expansion chamber when the forks were compressed, good thinking! It will be interesting to see if the 250 air intake will provide enough air for the 600cc engine at higher revs. Look forward to the next one👍
G'day Max, this bike will be wicked, man, love the frame factory look, same as my fmf fatty pipe on my ktm 300 exc, might want to consider stiffer springs back and rear for the power this beast will deliver.Awesome work Sean and Max. 2 strokes forever.
You two seems to be a great team together. The frame looked just amazing! I did not hear is it the original rads, do they manage to cool the engine? Can't wait for the next episod.
Thanks Thomas, in this video it has the standard KTM rads fitted, but we are having some hardcore racing radiators tailor made for the bike. You will see them in the next episode hopefully :)
Hello Boys, iam proud of you. Looking for the day, when Neville gives us his comment over your great work.Keep on riding the big guns, best wishes from me.
How about a OP 1200 2 stroke made from 2 600 pantera's like a fairbanks morse OP 2 stroke. Cummins makes an OP 2 stroke now.mart.cummins.com/imagelibrary/data/assetfiles/0058689.pdf
Airbox volume is going to be critical with this build. With it gulping up 600cc of air with every intake stroke, I'd personally fill every available open spot with either airbox or airbox inlet to have a minimum capacity of 2000+cc
I agree but to be a pedantic engineer, it won't be exactly 600cc per stroke, it'll be 600 * the volumetric efficiency, which varies depending on harmonics of the system. It can actually be above 100% (over 600cc per stroke) or substantially less.
@@KennethGerecke-k8wBig bore 2-strokes generally usually have a pretty mellow, but torquey power character. They arent high strung and peaky, say like a 125 would be. So anything used to dampen the power is just wasting money on a 600cc engine.
Not the first 600cc to be made. But the first bad ass production from Pantera....yes. fuel injection. Yes. Big two stokes have been made for a long time...made in the hillclimbers. For the 0 to 700cc classes
AWESOME - 2 moto buddys , a garage full of tools , a welder and a supreme vison of this monster 600cc pre-mix'r changing the rotation of the eart win it's done 🏁 I love big 2 strokes ( I have an 83 Husky 500cr , 83 Maico 490 , 84 Yzed 490 , 77 Yzed 400 , 89 KTM exc 350 , and my 92 KTM mx 500 !!! ) as well as my 2024 Beta rx 300 - been riding big 2 strokes since 1983 and love them all - it is fantastic how you gents work so well together - just waiting to see if your 600 cc creation will throw my favorite bike of yours ( MR Kong ) we will see LOL - wonderful work and ingenuity fitting this engine into chassis - ( looking at that pipe from the frt is scary cool just sitting there ) glad Sean is ok , looks like a pretty good cut !!!! Manipulate or mutilate Sean's arm LOL just kidding glad he is ok - keep up the great work and video's Team Lazer - # 1 boys !!!
Sooooooooo the weight is close enough to being the same with the other motor that the rear spring will be retained thus it got the coating treatment along with the rest of the parts that WILL be used for sure?!?! Fingers Crossed lads!!
i just googeld this engine and it cost 10k but honestly is not much consedering the specs and the fact that is a race kit i cant wait to grow some money and get it , it was also nice seeing that the love for big bore two stroke is not dead yet . there is nothing better then a two stroke sound for me . i still remmember my first time riding this modiefied 50 cc moped that my friend have back when i was 14y and hitting the higher revs and the hole bars where shaking . fun times ( sorry for typing erors btw😅
Cant wait to see this when its finished and ripping around a track, love that you went for the raw look on the frame. What brand of scissor lift are you using Max ive been looking for one the one you are using looks solid cheers

Love your videos mate. There has however been 600cc stroked KX's and CR's for donkeys years. Sidecarcross lads been at it for nearly 40 years. KTM even built a 550 which gets over 600cc easily. There used to be a 600cc Liger kit for CR's aswell. Think it's on youtube.
Awesome build, cant wait to see it done. Im curious how it is the worlds first if they already offer it with mount kits for loads of different chassis etc? Wouldnt that suggest that some of them already exist? Or is it some special tricks on yours that makes them different?
Ah ok, so the first one in a bike and you guys were extra awkward and picked a bike they didn't test fit it on 😅. Fair enough! Have they got the setup running in any test bikes / prototypes at the factory? Bet they are a handful...
No music man .explaining wat ur doing an all the ins an outs is wat we want to hear keep up the mint build
You two have good chemistry. Your videos keep getting better. When you have that, the sky is the limit. Keep up the good work.
Thanks Kyle 👍
i agree music is annoying loud, had to adjust volume up and down a dozen time, it takes away quality from a good video , just turn it down by half
Or totally off...

Maico is 685 and it's pretty long stroke! huge torque though.

Thanks :)
The frame is sick looking lads can’t wait for the next video 💨💨💨💨
Thanks Dave
Great new project but will this one beat the Megalodon
Awesome job guys. Sean really is multi talented.👍
This is gonna be a BEAST
After many people used super glue to fix cuts. The med industry made dermabond skin glue.
You should build a bracket to move the rads up. They’re gonna be cooking hot touching the pipe like that, better safe than sorry.

Sebastian is an amazing guy at Panthera! Totally rad!
Oh boy, here we goooooo!!!!!!!
Supreme coatings did a very nice look never saw that before very nice and goodlooking...

Brilliant episode! Well apart from Shaun nearly cutting his arm off 😂
Can’t wait for part 3 🏁

That frame colour is amazing! Still want to get hold of the 999 shirt and hat you guys wear 😊
Why the loud music ? When you guys talk, I hear NOTHING... and then BAM BAM BAM the music. IN EVERY ONE of your videos. EVERY ONE of them.
Its balanced well for me, must be on your end.
Seems great for me too, and I use headphones
Sounds good to me
Must be your listening source. It was fine for me.

Un mec sérieux qui se prends pas la tête ✌👍, surtout pour un projet comme ça 🔥
That engine and pipe is a thing of beauty.
Imagine it scaled it up to a 930 CID 2 stroke inline 6
Love the frame. When I watched the first vid I thought that needs a bare metal finish and there it is perfectly executed
awesome, glad you like it :)
Looking great what a Machine it is going to be
The absolute unit of a RESONATOR on there... Makes a four stroke guy question his believs.
That pipe though👀 massive, I’m in love👍
Amazing project , congrats Max🤘

With a monster single cylinder like this, a restrictive air box may smooth out the powerband
It will breath fine with the stock airbox...

Cole sealy was the first one to do a frame like that. Seen him do a build like that on a 2020 ktm 450 I believe that he turned into a gas gas
Great fabrication! I hope you used stainless steel welding wire bc otherwise your pipe will also get rust around the steel tabs you welded on!
Yaaant!
Let’s gooo
This is why I love 2 Strokes a lot more than 4 strokes I still like 4 strokes just not as much as 2 Strokes
