I don't recall exact details, but some youtube fighting personality explained the odd stance of old school bare knuckle boxing, was credited to the fact that they didn't wear gloves, and because of this, fighters wouldn't aim for the head as much. Essentially because punching someone's skull could/would bust up the attacker's hand. If that was truly the case, since we still have modern day bare knuckle boxing, wouldn't we expect to see it being used? Which it isn't

I was listening to what he was saying until he talked down on two fighters showing heart and grit, and then went on to talk about all the fights he took dives on. Including but not limited to taking a dive on a fight because he got a shallow cut on his eyebrow and wanted to avoid further damage.
If this guy is a champion caliber fighter in bare knuckle, I don't think I'm interested in watching that kind of amateurish competition.

Bareknuckle is certainly less safe than Boxing if you include hand injuries. Hit a guy once and you've broken your hand. That's what gloves are for, to somewhat prevent hand injuries.
Let me know when a guy snaps and murders his whole family cause he broke his hand too many times.
I’ve got 3 I can think of off the top of my head for CTE. Your point is beyond stupid, a brain injury is 10000000x worse than a hand injury.

That's also another vid where the editor probably should've toned the music down with a high shelf EQ, so you would feel the energy, but still clearly hear the guy. He's not a loud talker, hence less upper harmonics in the sound, hence the need to not mask him with long distortion chords. It was eeeh almost fine now, just feels it could be better. Small high shelf, no-one would even mind. :)
