@@TheGoldenOctagon definitely feel you on price dude. I debated for a while on my first mystery box and eventually took the leap. I really hope the team starts to implement lower price tiers for mystery boxes. I think it would open the door for a lot more collectors to dip their feet. Appreciate you tuning in! 🫶🏽🤝🏽

@@JokerzGallery 1000%! Especially since the team plans to continue tossing these in there. Now they just need a lower price tier for these type of boxes so that it’s more affordable to the masses.

I ordered one of these but will most likely be returning it, I got worse and less items than the ones in this video
I recently recorded my episode with Memento Exclusives, the UFC's global partner for sports memorabilia. I asked about their return policy and they make it very easy for customers to return a product they are not satisfied with.
They emphasized that the last thing they want is for a customer to keep a product they are not happy with. So they make the return process very easy.
So I'm bummed to hear your experience wasn't a great one but happy to know there is a solution for you. Hope the next box will treat you much better.

@@BrooklynnZoo the same thing crossed my mind but considering I could have hit fighter worn gloves from a ranked opponent or even Pereira merch over Weilie, I think it was an above average box but not the very best folks could expect.

I have mixed feelings about these Mystery Boxes.
Lets call it what it is, It's gambling, the draw would be winning the UFC PPV tickets.
The trading card box was a nice touch.
From there, this is a way for the UFC Collectibles store to liquidate unsold stuff.
The fighter worn gloves are going to be the gloves that didn't sell via their controlled "Submit a Closed Bid" model they use on their site.
IMO, it would be really hard to try sell these items to recoup any of the money in the secondary market because these are items the UFC Collectible Store themselves had trouble selling.
These boxes are a hard pass for me.
MMA, my guy! I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. Honestly, your sentiment towards the collectibles marketplace alone and feeling that mystery boxes feel like a liquidation strategy is critical feedback for the team to hear. Because statistically speaking, you can't be the only one that feels this way.
The partnership between the UFC and Memento is still relatively young (2.5 years) so mistakes will be made. My hope is that through content and engagement like this, we help propel the space forward in the right direction.

@@doerstate I was thinking, the implementation of a Checklist would go a long way.
That's what some repackers have started doing, they provide a Checklist.
Imagine if UFC Collectibles said;
There's 200 Mystery Boxes.
50 Boxes contain Fight Worn Gloves.
This is the list of the possible fighters you could pull fight worn gloves of.
Full disclosure would go a long way.

I received my mystery box in the mail today - what a fucking joke!!!! total price to have sent and delivered in Australia - $2735.
But it gets better!! The replica gloves are from Casey O'neill - her sister lives one hour from my house and I've trained at her gym many times.
The fighter worn shirt is from UFC fight night Blanchfield vs Fiorot and is Dennis Buzukja walk out shirt (yes signed) but one more loss and the blokes out of the UFC - I don't even think he'd enjoy framing it and having it on his wall.
The only decent piece is the framed canvas - its a 1/50 piece of canvas from the mcgregor vs aldo fight (who knows if it's even legit with these clowns)
Absolute scam and would not recommend anyone purchase one!!!!!

What else was included in your box? The watch, puzzle, trading cards, and replica belt?
Great to hear about the 1/50 framed Conor canvas. But definitely blows if you hit blanks on everything else.
Last question, was the $1.1k above the retail price + tax all import fees? That’s steep!

I keep closing it and opening it hoping something changes haha - I'd honestly value the goods I got at $500 - the watch isn't even a gold one like yours it's silver!
No the $2401 was the price I paid to UFC collectibles for the box? and the $335 was the tax imports
If you go on their website now they have other prints with the same canvas that are 1/100 so because of the picture they have framed with it all of a sudden it's 1/50?
@@AaronPerkins-f9c I’m told from others in the community that you can return items. Their website states “You may return goods within 14 days of the item being signed as delivered, or the delivery being confirmed by the courier for a full refund - you will need to pay the cost of returning the items.” In case this a route you wish to go down.

The retail price I see on my end is $1500 and with tax $1600. Curious why yours is that much higher.
Re the 1/50. Yep, that’s correct. That Conor vs Aldo event will be made into both a framed canvas patch (with various pictures and number options, typically have seen 1/50 and 1/200) and acrylics that i believe are all 1/200.
Crappy situation for you because it was my understanding all these boxes would include Midnight trading cards. Heck, maybe the team will be willing to send you a box for your troubles. 🤞🏽
@@doerstate They have just replied to my email and have sent me a slip to have this returned and full refund - I'm hoping to keep the mini belt as this is the only cool thing in the box!

Would be great to know if your refund includes the shipping and import fees you paid too?
