- Hey everyone, we're Bram and Simon, two gay duchies eagerly awaiting the arrival of our baby girl. Over a year ago, we fell in love with an old French farmhouse and have been working tirelessly to make it our perfect family home.
This week, Bram traveled back to the Netherlands to support our surrogate mother as we approach the due date. Things are getting tougher, and we want to help out as much as we can. Meanwhile, I'm staying in France to wrap up some final tasks around the house. The farmhouse is far from finished, but it’s perfect enough for us to start our new family. We can’t wait!
We finished and tested the laundry room, ensuring everything is ready for those endless loads of baby stuff. We also installed ventilation to keep our rooms cool and comfortable, even in the height of summer. We laid the floor in the toilet and sanded the hallway floor, making sure these spaces are ready for use.
One of the most special moments this week was creating a beautiful wall painting with my mother in our daughter's room, adding a personal touch to her space. We also installed a new toilet, sampled some fresh fruits, and tended to our new vegetable garden, which is already showing the first small promising results.

I love that the baby room looks unisex even though you know the sex of your baby. Simon’s dad is a trooper the way he just keeps plodding along on the renovation chop chop as you say. All the rooms you have completed with the little shots we have been given look amazing. Brams knowledge of electrics and plumbing and heating seems exhaustible and must save you thousands of $. If it’s not too intrusive can we see the finished rooms I understand if you just want snippets shown.

PURPLE apricots!?! Bram! "I may have underestimated the sanding time," says Simon, completely covered in sawdust. You two are adorable. The forest creatures, past and present, are adorable as well. Hey guys, the fruit is not an apricot but a plum variety « Reine Claude » , this fruit was introduced in France when Henri IV was King of France a long time ago 😉. You can do jam if you have a lot, it is delicious 😋 have nice day. La bise 😘

Yes to everything others have said about you two and your soon to arrive daughter. Two years ago we were able to travel to Dordogne and the Lot to see the ancient cave paintings.
We were with a couple of friends, she a Dutch native with relatives in the area. We stayed in a converted barn BnB near Belves (Dutch owned) and one day we visited Monpazier, in May with active market in the square and flowers in bloom everywhere. nou Bram en Simon al is het de goedkoopste vloer hij past heel goed in het interieur en wat dat betreft er word vakwerk geleverdik zie wel dat de aardbeien nog rijper moeten worden.Simon je levert ook voor de babykamer n leuk mooi schilderwerkje ,wat dat betreft ben je ook n bezig baasje en je pap en mam zijn toch n geweldige hulp en steun in het huis gezien het werk wat ze leveren👍👍👍👍

Gentleman, lucky me that I stumbled upon your channel.
My husband and I have renovated and restored a few homes (prior to the digital age) and look back as one of the growing stages in our voyage together (if you can live through and whilst doing a renovation, everyday life is like a walk on the beach).

Dear Simon, I think that's some kind of plum, not the apricot. But I highly suggest you to plant apricot tree if you don't have it, it's one of the best and most versatile fruits you can have.

as a young lad, my parents backyard had fruit trees. and by far, my favorite was the apricot. such a sweet, clean fruit. i always made sure to water that tree each week during the summer.

HI guys all work Bram is doing on the electricity and the water and the heating is that just for your side of the house or for both homes . All the spaces up in the loft of the house could that not being used for your office and maybe a studio space after buying new very small windows then maybe that would gave you a extra bedroom . With a few faults walls up in the loft it would give you a nice big space for Bram to do all the Designing of all the other properties It would be fantastic OR YOU could tell me to mind my own Business HA HA Love watch you both working until the next time xxxx
The next time you plant carrots plant marigolds beside the crop as they will deter carrot fly.( companion planting).
Great idea! In the states we use them and also lavender and rosemary together for the same reason. Chrysanthemums and Azaleas can be planted for dear but can be poinsonous to dogs so be careful. But better than all those is garlic because you can eat it. An edging of marigolds and lavender is also visually pleasing so I'd go with those.

Hello B loves S, you make me feel good! You will be super busy when Baby is here, but you will be better parents if you take care of your health. I would love to see you two use your gym, especially because your Dutch trainer taught you some fun survival training excercises. I go to a gym with a lot of dedicated men 2 to 4 times a week machines and free weights. Proud Gay Couple, good job.

4:16 I had a place with one of those boilers and you will definitely want to run the air outside in the winter. In small spaces, when its cold outside, the air from the boiler will be very humid sometimes even making water drops inside the building. Mine was in a small room and the ceiling started to warp the first year. Plus the noise is less if the exhaust air goes outside. Excellent idea though, you are a genius!
