- After almost two months in the Netherlands, we’re finally returning to our home in France! This time, it's a special journey because we're traveling as a family of three for the first time. Since baby Nox was born, we’ve been excited to share our lives with her, and bringing her to see our renovated French farmhouse was a moment we’ve been looking forward to.
Although the house isn't completely finished, it's perfect for us-and we think it’s just right for Nox. Bram packed up the camper van with baby gear, the dogs, and everything we’d need for the journey back to France. Meanwhile, I prepped a bag for the flight with Nox, and she did great on her very first plane ride!
As soon as we got home, the dogs were thrilled to have the space to run free, and we couldn’t wait to get back to work on our renovation. Bram wasted no time diving back into the project, even with the weather being less than ideal. Being back in our own space, together as a little family, feels incredible. We’re now ready to tackle the remaining renovations and finish our dream home. Nothing can stop us now!

I live in North America in an English speaking area and both of your uses of English is even better than native speakers. I am constantly shocked. You guys have done a remarkable job with the architecture of the old farmhouse and the modern equipment that you guys needed to make this farmhouse a home. I enjoy watching your vlogs and seeing how well you seem to work together to get the job done. Your parents did a terrific job while you guys were in the Netherlands. I’m so happy Nox is doing great, and it seems like she sleeps better than other new babies. I don’t know so share that with us.
Where the floors are concerned, I think it’s best to replace all of the beams. Just for safety reasons. And you get to see everything that’s going on underneath now. No surprises later.
Now you need a Postal Box, separate from your home address (for safety reasons), so we can send gifts for Nox. Unless you already thought of that.

Yeah replacing everything was the best choice for sure.
We have a PO Box in the Netherlands. Will check out if that’s possible in France too! But we will go back to the Netherlands in a month or so. So that’s possible too!

Your bathroom is the most beautiful room I’ve seen. Whom ever designed it knew what they were doing. Best to remove all the beams so there are no further issues. And you know there would have been. Can’t wait till next week. Dave in PA USA

Just had to comment on your bathroom....it is really beautiful. Clean, fine lines and no clutter, for now, anyway. But, a baby may change that. LOL. Nox is adorable and seems like she has a gentle personality. True about getting her accustomed to noise...makes for an easier bedtime or naptime.

Don't forget to cover the soil under the flooring. The fungus that causes dry rot on wood comes out of the ground. It doesn't need to be concrete just a sheet of plastic. The jungle site sells heavy vinyl sheeting that you can walk on. You don't want to have to do the floor again in ten years! You guys are doing an amazing job!! Maybe start to keep a diary or something like that so that when Nox grows up and moves out you can write a book about all this starting with when you met. It looks like you currently have almost 9000 customers that would buy the book. I'd buy a couple of them.

Haha we can't but with our growing UA-cam (channel) revenues coming in (very very little now) we might earn enough before we go broke. By doing everything ourselves we save a lot of money. Such a sweet blog, bringing Nox home for the first time. You’re reaching toward the finish line inside the house and I’m sure that will be a tremendous relief to you all. How did the garden fare while you were away? Did the trees you planted survive? One last question, will you be adding Nox to your family logo at the beginning of the blog?
Thanks so much. We are very happy to be back home with the three of us. The veggies didn't do so well. it was way too hot when we were gone and my parents have been away for a week too so most of the vegetables died. Most of the trees survived! I'm thinking about a new intro, Nox is changing so fast... Take care!
Hi Guys, glad you all arrived home safely.. Your apartment looks great especially the bathroom... Think you made a good call on the kitchen floor, was the right thing to do even if it does take a little longer. Assume you have 2 cribs for Nox as the one in Holland was white but the crib in France was wood finish lol..

it was a good decision to replace all the beams od the kitchen floor to avoid future problems with the woodworm cratures 👍 - all the best for you in your family home
