such fantastic results for your first try! when i make doll shoes i use mouse pads and cereal box cardboard for the soles cut two soles from cardboard, one with the grain and one rotated 90 degrees, then glue them together - the result is a firm, yet skinny, piece of cardboard - you then glue the mouse pad to the bottom for the sole when you've finished the upper if you want, you can add more cardboard layers to thickness and stability, so long as you rotate the grain 90' each time you layer it so the cardboard doesn't warp Make Doll Shoes! Workbook I and II by Lyn Alexander are fantastic books with great instructions and multiple sizes of each pattern - the books are a few dollars each amd readily available
I honestly LOVE the converses! They are super adorable and would look great with a slighty chunkier thread! You did a great job with all of these shoes, though! Nice work!
These shoes are all so cuteeee, your dolly fashion taste is on point! I know you didn't really like the sneakers, but I would def wear them if they were people sized, especially with that adorable outfit! :D
OMG! You're inspiring me to make my own shoes for my 3D printed BJD dolls! 🤩 My dolls are not super huge, so it's hard for me to buy shoes that'll fit on them. I'm thinking of 3D modeling/modifying meshes and then 3D printing them because, in my style, it looks better than the way I use crafts for my projects. I will try it out and see what happens, my dolls needs shoes so bad.
