I LOVE the idea of corduroy. I haven't tried that for shoes before - I bet corduroy would be SO cute, especially for a shoe that is kind of like the slip-in Vans shoes. How fun! I'm encouraged and inspired!
Ohh … me too! I’ve wanted to make the regular Janes in some solid colors so they match more outfits and was thinking denim, but babywale corduroy would be really cute!
Thank you for the tip of chipboard cardboard. The one and only time we made doll shoes, which was last week, we used the flaps of a crackerbox. It worked ok, but it would be nice to have some of that chipboard on hand.
I love these No Sew Janes made with lace … they’re great summer shoes. I did try a pair with a woven trim like shown, but it didn’t work for me at all … all those cut threads on the back just “dissolved”. Wonder if adding some lightweight iron on interfacing to the back of the trim would seal all those threads so they stayed together?
Thank you for the in depth explanation on materials
This is a wonderful introduction to doll shoe making. I'm excited to try making some for my daughter's dolls.
Thanks for sharing the variety of supplies we can use.
Thanks for the tricks and tips!

I do have the older shoe press in my sewing room. I did not realize there was a difference.
Hi where did you purchase it from? Link please if you don’t mind 😊
Like the look of the patterned rubber soles which would be great for boots.

So adorably cute 🥰

I like using thin foam board for shoe soles, but I see that the chipboard would be stiffer and more durable.
Very helpful. Thank you 😊
thank you!
If you don't have chipboard, can regular cardboard work?
Sure, you could layer it to get something more sturdy :)
@@SewingWithCinnamon Thank you.

I have purchased those soles from you--I just haven't used them--a little intimidated.
