Bing your a great teacher. This all makes sense to get started. Your twisting my arm to finally choose a dulcimer and get a goin !! Not unfamiliar to music notation. Clarinet allot back in the day. Some Guitar, and a little mandolin experience here ! Thanks !!

Bing, great job, great lesson. Some people might have a bit of trouble holding onto pick when letting it loose. A friend showed me that pushing a hot nail into the middle of the pick can add ridges to the pick and making the loose pinch easier to hold the pick. I love practicing rhythm while cycling through cords. Also, guitarists choose strumming close to the bridge for song emphasis, kind of sounds like a different instrument. Just another tool to use while making music. Thank you very much for sharing!
