I love the trellis that is attached to the wall. The beds look so clean and will make planting and maintenance so much easier. I am eager to see what is planted here. Your gardens just keep getting better and better!
So happy to see you using these Type of raised beds. I’ve been thinking on these out front of my brick house next to it….great watching you and hoping I can get this done…with 1 long raised bed instead of so many small ones creating the large bed! Thanks so much….please keep in getting ready for the rush of spring planting!!!❤😊
I love those containers so much. Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure my husband would notice! 😝 I sneak a lot past him, but yeah, they’re just too gorgeous for him to miss. And even worse, he works with metal and would know exactly what they cost! I can’t wait to see them all planted out. It’s going to be amazing. As for living in a fixer-upper…it ‘s the story of my life. We always buy the worst house in the best neighborhood. This is our third (and last) fixer-upper. I do like that you get to fix things just the way you like. So probably even if money were not an issue (it always is) I’d probably still prefer fixer-uppers.
I have used a ton of Corten Steel in my garden renovation, I have planters, raised beds and edging. You may want to looking to the modular planter panels from StraightCurve if you plan to add this style anywhere else. I'm looking at their corner options for making a "planter wall" around a small patio. The best part of Corten Steel which is often misunderstood is that it's a solid, galvanized steel inside with the rusting finish just on the outside faces so they will never rust through completely. And yes, totally worth the upfront cost. I have some 5 years old and they are still perfect.
Love the new planters! I am adding a couple of new beds this year and you have inspired me to add the organic material to the base before adding the soil. Thank you for the tip. 😀
I can't wait to see your garden this year! I know you'll have something beautiful in these containers. It's currently snowing here in MN and I really hope I can get into my garden soon! We're probably another month out before we get temps like yours 🤣
Wow! You’ll have so much planting space with those planters! They look great 👍 Did you say they came with bottoms? Depending on how they look, you could even use them to make another planter by using angle iron or wood? I’m sure you and hubs could come up with something if you wanted Thanks for sharing!
it was tough feeling 75 degrees in Indy on Monday and then coming back to snow in Iowa. the 75 made me want to go to garden centers but I held back since it's just too early. But when I am back in May, I'm going plant shopping in Indy! The wire arch thing looks interesting.
What are you planting in the box with the trellis? That's going to look so amazing! We have no sun for the next 6 days....all rain. Yep, in California. It's been wet for weeks and weeks. We want the sun.
we live on the western tip of ky by Mississippi river/ and Ohio River. We did have a few days of spring, which caused my tulips to start blooming already. Its been raining a lot last few weeks. We are zone 7a. Redbuds are just started to flower.
by the way, I grew up in Indianapolis Indiana, graduated 82 at Warren. I know and remember the weather there. I remember the first warm spring day early march we would try to put shorts on and go roller skating on our driveway. I remember playing all day outside on days like that and the fresh air smell in my hair and the way the earth smelled as it was trying to wake up. Where we lived was in a suburban area surrounded by cornfields and woods. It was a magical place to grow up. The woods provided adventures, digging treasures, nature walks, The empty field that was dry and cracked we would call the desert and pretend we were in africa. The other field was full of trails and bike jumps that the neighborhood kids created. Those places only exist in memories. the once clean neighborhood is now full of drugs, and the woods were bulldozed for cheap housing. Indiana has its own beauty. especially the country roads. It will always be home for me, just not our neighborhood. I know this is long. feeling sentimental for old Indiana spring days as a kid.
Yes! When it comes to gardeneing but UA-cam used your video to say its good not care about corrupion. Like we shouln't care that they are crooked. That is what a thief would say.
I order mine from Indiana mulch, they have a Marks mix that I like. Normally I just order their compost but this year because o have so much to fill I’ll get their mix.
Looks great 👍🏻 I know what you are going to do with all of those extra containers…you are going g to fill them up with all of plants you have in your grow room lol 😂 😂 That’s a beautiful trellis, what are you going to use to fill it up? 😊
I'm staring at a fresh 6 inches of snow that fell overnight. Watching you get started outside is a lovely counterpoint t to my never-ending winter. 😁
😬😬😬
So so love these metal beds!!!
Right?!! I love them so much!

Thank you! I’m so excited to finally be able to use every single space on this area.

Me too! The fact that my husband is very handy when it comes to construction is key, this is the LAST house for us too as a fixer upper 😬
Thank you for the inspiration! And yes, I can’t wait to be able to complaint about summer. 😊
Happy almost Spring! 🌿🌿🌿🌿

Yup, I kept the bottoms off from them, it’s better that way. I definitely can do something with it.
@@SoilandMargaritas I would do the same since they’re out in the garden and not put the bottoms on. Good plan 👍
I love your journey I can’t wait for more of these videos
Thank you friend! 🌿😘

It was rough experiencing the 70s and going back to 40s for sure!
WOW! Looks so good already! I love that trellis!💖 What will you grow on it?
I’m still indecisive! I guess it will depend on what vines make it inside :/

I don’t know yet! Once May comes I will figure it out.
🪴🖤🪴LOOKING GOOD‼️🪴🖤🪴
Thank you!
Holy cow, those planters are expensive for their size. It’s going to be a lovely area!
It’s going to be amazing!

Whatever makes it out of that as far as vines… I am thinking my black eye Susan or the snail vine if I can get them to germinate but we will see!
@@SoilandMargaritas either one will be pretty 🤩
I love your gardening videos, but honestly I can’t get passed the ads every 90 seconds. I’m out!
Skip it 😊
I understand!
That’s odd, I didn’t have any ads!
