A HERMIT Lived In This Cave!

- Come along with us as we visit a cave where a hermit used to live inside the entrance.
When cavers first discovered this cave, there was evidence that a person, a hermit, had lived inside the large entrance room of the cave. There is an area with a large flat floor and even where it appears a camp kitchen was set up.
Once inside the cave itself, one will discover some cool formations as well as some nice anastomosis in a large room in the back.
There is even a shark tooth on the ceiling in one section of the cave!

I used to visit that cave quite a bit when Charlie was still alive. It was about that time Maurine Handler told us about the extension they just found at the end of the big room. Very interesting and entertaining cave. Didnt have the water back then. Didnt have the handline either as the slope was not tracked out so bad.
Charlie was awesome! His family has always been very welcoming to cavers.
@@tag_caver how many other caves in the area have you visited? Skylight, Chimney Rock, Solution Rift, one other pit up the mountain I cant remember the name of.
@@garybeasley4885 done them all. We've been going there for a long time. We actually surveyed Solution Rift in 2010 and have had another deep cave project near there too.
