I did it! I totally hate this washer. .It's maybe 18mo. and I've had problems with the spin cycle. . Too many times. Then it froze. .Can't wait to replace it. .
Mark!! Thanks so much for this tutorial and your other one about running the diagnostic check. I probably had to try 50+ times to get the series of clicks to work, but I stuck with it and finally got it. Turns out (to no one's surprise) it was an actuator/sensor issue, but I'll gladly take a $40 fix over buying a new washer any day! Thanks again.
Again thank you so very much!!!!!! So, looking into error F7 E1 that I had, I decided to: 1) Spin the washer basket both clockwise and counter clockwise like a contestant on the price is right. 2) Unplugged the washer for one minute (to clear the error code) . 3) Placed a few items in the washer and,... WHA LAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! I just saved myself a few hundred dollar$!!!!!!!!! THANK YOU!!!
Mark's reviews and tutorials no. I simply used common sense and follow through with it. Afterwards I replied back 2 Maytag with what I did to correct the issue after opening up a ticket with him. I also included links to your Channel for their customer support
Mine had error code F8E2. After testing the pressure sensor hose, cleaning the water inlet valve, and running manual check, everything checked out fine. I finally removed the agitator (1 bolt) and found a coin between the agitator and the drum. I removed the dime and problem solved.
Hi I got a Maytag centeninial commercial technology I did the diagnostic mode the full and spin and done Links at the same time then it turns off then the spin turns on by itself I don't know the code would you mind helping me out
Hi. Trying to decipher the coding now. On the sensing blink the rinse, spin and done are blinking. So I believe that is f7. On the other blink it is the rinse and spin that are blinking. Does that mean E6?
Hi ryan All that info and how to read the codes is covered in this video. Hopefully watching it through a couple of times will help you out. Good Luck.
Hi thanks for making this video. I have a question please. When I put it in diagnostic mode then click to done and press start ALL the lights blink. So I read that as F8421 not sure what that means. If I click it again then it goes straight to sensing telling me there’s only the one error. Doesn’t anyone know what it means when ALL the lights blink? Thank you
All my lights flash except lid lock, it doesn’t wash but all others work, I’m thinking it’s the actuator, does anyone else washer sound like a jet engine taking off when spinning lol. Thanks for the help!
Nick D At the end of this video there is a link to my video about running a test cycle. Run the test cycle then you will see what is working and what isn't. Also then re do the error codes to see what has come up. God Bless. I hope this helps
This means that there are no error codes. Did you run the test cycle? This will run everything, and may throw up some codes. It is in this playlist called How to put washer into test cycle ua-cam.com/play/PLRRErA3V0MY2uLO6NrliecBEUdoyQhLNn.html
yep I did the test cycle 3 times thinking maybe I had done something wrong. Well, it good to know nothings wrong with the washer. thanks so much for your help.
For the error codes, what does it mean if all the lights flash? I tried it a couple of times. Unplugged washer, ran diagnostic and then error codes again, still all flashing.
Have you moved the dial on that 1 extra click to get it to show you the codes? If you have then see my video 'Beyond Diagnostic Mode' When the machine gives unpredictable and unstable results it may be the main control board. See this video: ua-cam.com/video/ucoD3ovIYiQ/v-deo.html
Hi there. Have a look at the videos in this playlist. Hopefully it will help you sort this out. Lots of things are covered about how to diagnose your washer. ua-cam.com/play/PLRRErA3V0MY2uLO6NrliecBEUdoyQhLNn.html

xEPICxCHAKA Hi there. Sounds like the lid locked switch is sticking. Try to lube it. Maybe some WD40 on the moving parts. If that doesn't help then maybe switch out the switch.

I've checked this twice and it is all synced for me. It might have been bad internet?
Let me know how you go.
HI! Any idea what to do if the lid locked light is on however the lid is not locked closed and after holding for 3 seconds it doesn't "unlock"?
xEPICxCHAKA Hi there. Sounds like the lid locked switch is sticking.
Try to lube it. Maybe some WD40 on the moving parts. If that doesn't help then maybe switch out the switch.
Also view my 'What was really going on beyond diagnostic mode' video as it could also be the main board.
