  • *Resting heart rate should lower when exercising. Your heart strengthens so doesn't have to work as hard to pump blood around the body. I said higher. I meant lower lol x
    Hi All,
    So I get a lot of messages and comments about Slimming World and exercise. The two actually work together beautifully. In my video I share the benefits of being more active, what exercise I do and how I eat now I'm more active. You've all got the body magic book and if you'd love to become more active, go for it. I really hope you enjoy the video. Listen I'm no muscle woman expert, PT, or bikini model. I'm just a woman who is work in progress who's lost 3 stone & dropped 4 dress sizes and enjoys exercise.
    One word of advice, I lie at the start! I say it's a quick video lol, then talk for ages! I can't help it, as I said I'm passionate about it. Stick with it and hopefully it'll answer your questions.
    The Grenade bars I mentioned, which are my favourite protein bars, are packed with protein and taste AMAZING!!!!!!!!!! They aren't cheap, but I have now got a fab discount code!!! Use SLIMMING25 from www.grenade.com. My favourite flavour is mint chocolate, 2nd fav is caramel, 3rd is peanut nutter. I haven't had one I don't like!!! Syns wise they vary from 10-12. A chocolate bar is the same or higher, but without the protein. These are so filling and i'm obsessed!!!

    This video is brilliant. I totally agree with your ideas about spending syns on healthy options. I discovered coconut butter today. So worth the syns lol! I also use my syns on avocado and Chia seeds. My taste has changed completely because of Slimming World. I am currently maintaining a total loss of 172.5 lbs and have been for 15 months. Thank you for this channel. You are very motivating and encouraging. Much love Jane x

    Being active doesn't actually increase your resting heart rate but decreases it as the heart muscle is stronger and doesn't need to work as hard to maintain a steady heart rate x

    Great video, your story is very inspiring and it's great to hear about your experiences and your exercise routines/favourite foods. So inspiring that you've motivated me (after doing the for and against exercise) to go and get my step out, lined up for a step aerobics work out first thing tomorrow, as I haven't worked out in over two months.

    Thank you, I'm working towards my gold award... In week 6, but had a gain this week... Have realised I've not been drinking enough so that may have contributed to it!

    Great video! 🙋🏼Having recently introduced exercise into my SW journey I am trying my best to be patient as the scales are not my best friend at the minute, but will stick with it. 🏋️‍♀️

    I have always done bootcamps, the gym and runs fasted. First thing in the morning before I eat. Anything above 5 miles I'd have a banana or muesli first. I ran London marathon on those for breakfast, with toast and peanut butter. Enjoyed this video, thankyou! X

    This video was exactly what I needed to see and hear. I've been putting exercise off due to the initial static effect it has on my weight loss but this helps me to think more about long term goals. Thanks for sharing 👍😀 x

    hello I'm such a massive fan. your look absolutely amazing. loving the outfit. I have a concern about body magic. I'm worried that I will add on weight. I feel somewhat heavier after working out. is there a reason or will the swelling go after time? thank you Xx

    I love all your videos and they've really been helping me stay on track during my slimming world journey 😊 just one thing you said that confused me. You said that exercise increases your resting heart rate, but I've always been told throughout school and university (I did a healthcare degree) that it makes your resting heart rate lower. This is because the cardiac muscle becomes stronger so doesn't need to beat as many times per minute to pump the same amount of blood around your body. But then the science of fitness is always evolving and changing so I may well be wrong!

    Hi Nikki I’ve only been with SW a couple of weeks and confused about my Body Magic journey! I have a Fitbit and I was wondering how to work out how to calculate my steps! On the page it has how many ‘minutes’ for exercise, well when I play golf I can enter ie 180/200 minutes but how do I calculate the 6000 steps I did before I got to the golf club?
    It a mystery to me !
    Please help me

    Hi great infortmative video, please don't take this the wrong way as I am still learning about slimming world, but if I am exercising and eating healthy to lose weight. Why do slimming world tell me to eat muller light yogurts and alpen bars which are loaded with sugar? I also can't understand why an avocado which is a heathly snack and recommended by all healthy eating books, has the same syn value as a cheeseburger! I have just joined SW so I am curious not trying to be awkward😊 Thank you.

      Princess Emmz freedom of choice, variety and moderation. mullers are popular amongst members but nobody tells them to choose and eat them. Its individual choice.
