Yeah lol it’s to the point where I straight up run away from spitfires because I know for a FACT that I am not going to kill it lol
It's British engine
I got this pack a couple months ago and oh my lord this thing is worth the money, it teaches you well how to manage your energy for boom and zoom tactics, and has the firepower that makes you feel like a sledgehammer to a glass table. I highly recommend this from personal experience

It’s literally how I learned to fly well
In this game, German planes and tanks are weakened, while Soviet tanks and planes are the most powerful, because... you know, the Russians hate Germany, and they seriously disrespect history.

This is my most used vehicle, easily worth the money.
Most fun I’ve had in a prop
Tankenstein, got it a while back. Became A LOT better after dropping to 5.0 -> it used to see all sorts of 6.3 superprops, which mauled it. Climbing is average, high-altitude performance was affected (like the P-47) due to match time reduciton to 25 min. It turns like a brick so go steady and extend is the thing. But it IS fast, and if you manage your altitude and return to height after booming, its pretty nice.
It actually used to be 5.7

5.0 now? Fastastic! This plane always suited my more tactical, less dogfight-y style and I’ve loved it since I bought it years ago. I’m older so my reflexes aren’t as good as they were when I was 18, so this more measured style is more successful for me than any fast-twitch turn ‘b’ burning. Regardless, I haven’t played this plane for a while. Time to take off the dust covers!
A few things from a veteran D13 pilot:
1. It has a High Wing Loading, vertical maneuvers are out of the picture at speeds 300 mph and lower
2. Maneuverability is pretty good *with Flaps* your Takeoff Flaps can deploy close to 400 if I remember right; Your landing flaps can go out close to 220 mph while loosing speed in a vertical to flip around faster
3. *Bring min fuel* The min fuel load for the D13 makes the thing turn into a nigh decent turn fighter; never make turns in a dogfight without having 350-400mph+ airspeed.
4. The D13 has a 3 stage Supercharger, its gears (correct me if im wrong I haven’t flown it in a minute) goes from 2600, 4800, 7600 meters respectively, I am not sure if it is actually useable in-game though
5. Your top speed comes close to around 520 mph or so but the compression is really bad at those speeds.
6. At the start of Air RB matches climb at 25 degrees until you reach 4K - 4.5K meters altitude. From there climb more as you see fit if needed
Unrelated to the D13 but, play the D9 and the D12 at some point. The D9 is slightly shorter in length but can still hold its own pretty well. The D12 is a near carbon copy of the D13 but with a 30mm instead. Though there was something else that sets the D12 apart from the D13 I think it was the D13 had improved ailerons or something.

I do not know if you were talking about WT or irl, but irl the motorkanone is the ONLY difference between the D12 and D13
The only problem I have with this thing is uptiers, it’s not like a normal uptier where you can still fight back, but on the D-13 most up tiers are with matches full of 288s and make it painful.
Yep german 5.0-6.0 is just 2v6 vs post war superprops almost every game
It`s really worth the (discounted) price. THIS plane finally teaches me how to boom&zoom properly. Pitty they somehow broke the 20mm cannons.

It's awesome at taking out targets from below. Just use alt to your advantage and just boom and zoom targets from below, and then just repeat gaining high alt. Just don't turn with it and just use speed as advantage.

It’s a very fun plane, pretty nice the engine doesn’t overheat on wep. I usually have full wep and it doesn’t even get yellow super easy to climb with.I use it in both air and ground, I’d recommend 100%. Great review tankenstein spot on bröther!
I have like 200 Ground kills with it because of the easy 3-5 kills you can get with the bombs plus mauling M18s and other open tops.
Purchased it a few days ago after your 10th Anniversary premium bundle Review.
Need to get to know it better but so far its awesome.
It's worth the price! One of the best premium planes to get! It can even act as a ground pounder and fighter on mixed battles ;)
i love this plane. stealth belt makes everyone think youre not even shooting and they dont even bother maneuvering. one little adjustment and they light up. its like the p51 with the 4 hispano cannons. except the dora has bombs.
I remember when this was the best plane in the game and everyone was asking it to be nerfed back in 2013. The great "Dora spam" days...

I have had this plane for about 2 years now. used to be 5.7, then 5.3, then 5.0 because people suck, all the well better for me because even at an Up tiered 6.7 this thing is a beast but down tiered at 4.0??? Wow.
A bit of remark on MG-151/20, right now they are busted for strafing and you can pop medium tanks in air combat with air belts from any side or angle.
Playing this in the GroundRB 5.7 lineup. Excellent. The 4x 50kg bombs are great for light stuff like trucks or hellcats, same goes for the 20mms. The 500kg bomb is good for anything. With practice per battle you can easily get 2 tank kills and 2 air kills with this.
I am too and I’m learning but I keep running into F8Fs and other higher speed props
Loving the D13 so far, even if it does get slightly fked by the 288 black hole. Since matches take place at low to mid alt i'd say the D9 feels more nimble and competent in air rb. Little bit more power, but feels quite a bit heavier
Oh, one other thing. Re the 50kg bombs in Ground RB. I treat them as a single drop (after dropping the big boy). I set the drop order to S (salvo, I believe), swoop down low to my target and drop as close as I can. As there are four of them, unless I get uncoordinated- always a problem with the 190s, if I’m not flying level and straight the g forces throw my bombs in essentially random directions. Anyway, that flying caveat aside, as there are four of them I find the 4 50s worth bringing as I usually get a kill as at least one of them is likely a direct hit. And most people assume you’ve dropped all your bombs after the central one, so are less likely to try to dodge.
Great bomber interceptor and the cannons are great
So I just got it a few hours ago because I figured it would be worth it to grind out my tier 4 and 5 tree sections. It hasn't dissapointed me at all, besides a few mistakes I've made, it obliterates target within a few hits and runs like the devil when being chased. My highest RP earning from one game so far is 12,000 which is infinitely better than what I had been getting trying to use my bf109 F4. Thank you for convincing me to get this!
You can get 30,000RP if you do the right things like ground targets and Ai Assists (I know it seems confusing). Good luck with the grind, you'll struggle at rank 6 getting the rank 7s but it's worth it.
One of the oldest pack premium. My bother played it for years. I only brought about a year ago, but i only fly it as a fighter-bomber in mixed battles (mostly naval) in my 5.7 presets, do to all D variants share the same flaw i can't really live with: elevator has shit response !
This is easily my best plane, it's LETHAL if you keep your speed up and don't use the upgraded 20s. With the stock 20s the spread is such that a 2-3 sec burst at 1400-2000 is wider than people expect and they never dodge enough, if your speed is up and you use flaps you can out turn spitfires.

I absolutely love TA152 .. but it is limited since its mainly high alt and it is not so good in GRBs .. D13 is a devastating machine
the worst part about this plane is how it's br is at the JU 288 range meaning some games you are gonna get matches where you have one fighter team mate and 4 of those bombers on your team
This along with Fw-190 C is one of the best SL grinders in german tree
You can snipe aaa in ground RB matches beyond their firing range due to 3 nose/wing root guns, very accurate! 1 easy bomb kill, a few ground aaa and a few air kills. Ground RB king!
Aside from the premium bonuses. Is there any reason to play it over the D9 though?

I would say 7.5 is a very low overall score. I would easily give it an 8.5 regarding dogfights and killing power. I only play SB with aircraft, in this mode his BR is 5.3, so you can face planes up to 5.7. In any case, it easily outperforms Spitfires in terms of power and maneuverability at high speeds. I already managed to get rid of 2 bandits with spitfires, they were on my tail, flying at 500 kmH, trying to shoot at 200 or 300 meters, I managed a good climb rate, I maneuvered on top of them and went down shooting. The first lost one of its wings and the And the second tried to chase me in the dive, I quickly managed to exceed 700kmH, returning smoothly to the top, then the spitfire was below me trying to shoot, it hit me in one or two bursts and I managed to go down using the rudder, practically at 130kmH, he he tried to regain speed but it was too late, he was chopped into pieces. The big Achilles tendon of the FW-D13 I would say is the P51-D, which manages a good rate of climb and often beats you in terms of energy. Often the most prudent thing is to try to take the P51D to low speeds and try to reverse, but almost always they perform better.
If u r new to the game I would not recommend this plane as it takes skill to use and if u have been playing long enough that u understand energy retention and combat menuvers aswell as knowing what your plane can and cant do and what your enemy can or can't do it then I'd highly recommend this plane it is faster than the mk9 spitfire on the dec and can reach a maximum speed of 650 past 4000m. The rollrate and flaps are very good the flaps are very strong and your landing flaps rip at 300 kph and your takeoff flaps rip at 560 kph this plane is my favorite plan and it has my highest kd. It's very cheap for how good it is but like I said if ur still getting a grasp on how to defensive fly or still learning the basic dynamics of the game I'd recommend u use a 109 as they are one of the best planes for teaching someone how to fly. That is my take on this plane it's a really good one and I forgot to mention do not under any circumstance try to turn right any single engined fighters with it. It's turn isn't bad but it's bellow average for its br
I Love my D-13, I even got it for free many many years ago during one of the first summer events.
It alone has grinded most of my air tree.

On D-9 i also like the 50kg Bombs if u drop all 4 together u have a high chance to destroy the Tank
How should I boom and zoom with this I have a hard time when I dive down I just miss
After grinding the British air tree to 5.3 in sim I felt like a change and when the summer sale came up I bought it. OMG it absolutely slaps! First game without any booster I made 250k SL and it just felt like seal clubbing. Ok it doesn't turnfight well, but climb above your victim and scythe straight through them. It's almost impossible to not get a clean kill if you get rounds on target, including cutting wings off bombers with ease. Compared to the British Typhoon (which I love) it just feels like playing on easy mode.

With an assault or 0 second fuze the 50s make excellent work of most AA guns you face at it's BR so take them anyway and toss them from a high dive when AA guns are distracted

I don't think it worth playing.
The plane is ok but matchmaking is bad. Imagine you are the 1 of 2 fighter in your team and enemy team are full of F2G or 4B, and your 288 Single-handedly ruin the whole 2 BR Bracket.
What's make it worst is the enemy at your BR will out perform you so hard that you can't gain foothold anymore. Even enemy flown by pepega, the sheer performance of their plane will carry them and eventually kill you without much issue.
i cant use this thing at all i used to love it but now its just a bus even just there at 4000m 420kmh i was a virtual brick and there was nothing i could do i was just a free kill for any yak or p51 in the game
You've clearly not played this plane in SB where it can easily catch up with jets and completely obliterate them to the "Return to hangar" realm
It is rather boring to fly. MG151s are horrific right now. Enemies can fly right between your rounds. You have to fly fast to survive, but the cannons are very slow. The plane can dive and is fast but thats where the good ends. The last Fw190 that is worth anything is the A1. The rest are over tier. If the D13 was Russian, it would be 4.0.

It can easily get a 4 kill game. Max kills in one match was 8, and it one shots☠️. This is only if you master boom and zoom.

I have a question that no one seems to want to help me with. No matter what i do. I am the slowest plane. I can drop 10,000 feet on someone. They will be faster. If i turn my plane any. Doesnt matter which plane. I could be in a jet and someone in a bi wing. They would out run me. I have no clue how to get speed and keep it.
Try making slow, long, smooth turns? Difficult to say without seeing what you're doing wrong. Turning, especially sharply, kills airspeed really fast.
50% of my matched the gun jammes and i get nothing. 😂
But- Fw190F-8 has the exact same bomb load out as the D13, why is the F-8 better?
Because the F8 doesn't have the same bomb load, it gets a 1000kg bomb

I'd say so. This BR bracket doesn't change much, and pretty much all Fw 190s are powerful - but especially the Dora series. This is still a good purchase, in my book.
