Today we made Thanos in Dungeons & Dragons! Thank you to everyone who's supported me and helped me make all these build for D&D 5e by watching them!

Go with JoCat's build and ask the DM to have a Lucky Sword disguised as a Infinity Gauntlet by the end the campaign
Then Wish to have all of Tulok's build(with all the spells and stats) in your golden gloove with some colourful gems
Afterwards cast the Wish spell to decimate half of the sentient life in the material realm
Done, you balanced the universe! Well done.
Extra: if somehow you can cast the Wish spell again, ask it to make the goddess of Death your girlfriend
It doesnt matter if the DM screws this wish, it'll be accurate to Thanos's character
to be fair thanos in the comics is both as well as a psionic users and sorcerer

Could go middle ground and make thanos a eldritch knight
@@jacobweatherford4696 that's kinda a bad compromise as it would neither work as thanos with or without the gauntlet. Eldritch knight is also only 1/3 caster, multiclass would be better in a way, or artificer honestly.

I love the touch of the spells being in the colours of the infinity stones that allow them to be cast!
Purple = Power Stone
Blue = Space Stone
Green = Time Stone
Yellow = Mind Stone
Orange = Soul Stone
Red = Reality Stone
And Wish cycling through all of them, very nice.
I'm not sure I agree with a few of the Soul stone spells, though given the number of times it's used on screen (that is, twice), I don't blame him for taking Hold Person and Hold Monster away from the Space stone, and Detect Thoughts from the Mind stone.
That was all a really nice touch wasn’t it. A good way to represent the Gauntlet being a part of the character.
i really hate the color concept of the infinity stones. its always different. depending on if your first exposure was the comics, the movies, or the games, the infinity stones will be different.
In my day this was the list
Power- Pink
Space- Purple
Mind- Blue
Soul-Green
Reality-Orange
Time-Red
Even today I still struggle with remembering which fucking stone is which because its completely different.

@@Kugrox I know. I don't think the colours even represent anything (at least as I'm aware) besides adding a nice rainbow touch. Thats why I added the code Tulok seemed to use.
It's the little things I love, like how each spell is color coordinated to its stone and how you had Jocat explain that realistically Thanos is just a big angry purple man on his own DnD quest for the infinity stones that give him buffs along the way.

Thanos himself feels like two different characters between the two movies. Endgame's version is JoCrap's version and Infinity War's version is the Tulock version.

Same, but to be fair you can make him a Goliath on your own and it won't change much, same stat buffs but trades the extra crit damage for less damage taken

@@ViktorTheMusician only Vedalkin come in varying blues (the eyes are what's purple) and they don't have ears. The ability score increases (Int +2, Wis +1) don't lend to his physical power (they are tall, but lanky af at 6'6 and 200lbs). And the amphibious thing to boot. Thanos is much larger and more imposing.

21:52 You know you've watched a LOT of Tulok videos when you find yourself cheering this bit.
Meanwhile, this is one of those builds where I wish Tulok was into building items to go with characters instead of just folding the items power into the character. You could probably save a few levels on that Level 40 Thanos if a Gauntlet & Stones item set was taking over some of the load.

@@zodinaurum It's a running gag with Tulok videos to throw Jump in as the final build-ending spell. The actual spell would be described as "ultility".

Y'know, the full infinity gauntlet is pretty much just a magic item that grants free use of the Wish spell. Aside from the DM maybe granting the improvised wishes, Wish can also be used to successfully cast _any_ premade spell
Wish spell with an added fortitude save, perhaps?

@@baitposter I'd say that it depends on the spell in question. Wishes that would only require 1-2 stones would just be the attunement. Greater wishes would be on cast.

Calling it now, all stats are going to end up being 16 by level 20.

I laughed and then I cried...
"Tenser's Transformation" has some good points, but unfortunately it doesn't last long enough to don armor without a very generous interpretation of the Ready action (which means bad AC) and it's Concentration (which means if you take damage you risk losing your casting) so you run the real risk of being punched out of your super mode. What's more, you suffer a level of Exhaustion after using it and Exhaustion is VERY bad in 5e. It's still really strong on the offense though and the functioning defenses (temp HP and Con Save Proficiency) are pretty good. Just adding my 2 cents because you seemed to imply that this was as much for power as for flavor
The level of exhaustion is only if you fail a Con save though, and this build has decent Con, plus the War Mage save bonus

Here's a question I want to ask you for no reason, which infinity stone would you want to have, and be able to utilise. So no disintegrating when you touch the power stone basically. I'd prolly take space because I couldn't be trusted with the others
@@roguepsykerhaaker4813 idk, they're all crazy OP. Probably the time stone so I could fix petty mistakes and not become too isolated from the rest of the universe and everyone in it. It's hard enough caring about the little things when you DON'T have an infinity stone. Shame none of them could give MCU Thanos enough imagination to come up with a better way to shape the universe. Like if you control everything, you could just double the resources instead of halving the population. Or make everyone permanently content even while they starve. Or mess with localized time dilation to slow everyone's metabolism. Or just scrap the need for living beings to consume for survival altogether and just let them die and re-cycle their souls/minds every so often.
Honestly they should have just let Thanos be obsessed with Death like the comic. Maybe don't personify her if you're that dead set against camp, but really he could just be a guy that wants power and suffering. It would make way more sense than this like.... family-friendly eugenics bit they went with. Anyway, hope that answers your question
Just be a Gnome hiding in the Titan's backpack casting spells while the Titan tells everyone they get their power from their magic gauntlet.

I like Tulok's Thanos but JoCat's is more accurate.
Idea: 4 levels of Eldritch Knight and 16 of Wizard. You would have fighting abilities AND Wish!
@Darren Whitty Why? Wizards learn two spells of any level on a level up? I only need to get the Fighter levels first and go for Wizard later.

The death will date me thing makes more sense when you look at the fact that Thanos is absolute moron because instead of depleting half of the universe he could have just doubled the resources or quintupled the resources or made the resources infinite he had literally the power of the do absolutely anything and he decided to screw everybody over to prove a point which isn't that actual working point like I said the death thing makes more sense they should have just brought her in at the character in dead pool . Love your builds by the way I'm currently running a modified version of the darth maul one in my campaigns on Friday the only difference I made was that he is a Satyr and since I rolled stats I took feats because I rolled really well

Didn't someone go over how he couldn't just make more resources? Matter can't be created or destroyed; so those people were turned to dust/ash but still turned to something. Creating resources would take something else (maybe those same people he harvested)? Even if he could then i think some science guy did the math and as all ecosystems do the abundance of resources only causes an exponential increase in population as well as consumption, it'd just speed up our devouring timer until the bubble finally popped; sure you make more resources, consume faster, more resouces, faster, more, faster, more, faster, eventually you're going to run out of room or resources will be consumed at such a ludicrous rate it'll be impossible to keep up.

@@crushcommando8637 even if he couldn't, what thanos did also just also just slightly delayed the bubble pop since populations grow extremely fast after disaster.
What he *could* certainly do is give them all the knowledge that resourced were dwindling and how to make eco-friendly everything, which would give them effectively infinite resources. Hell, its probable that tech could even infinitely reuse anything as everything by rearranging the molecules, making new elements and everything with it.
So yeah, thanos was just dumb.

Congrats on 200! I don't know that there's a better place to put this but, World of Warcraft Shadowlands releases on one of your upload dates (Oct 27th) and Sylvanas Windrunner would be a really sweet build to see!
He'd have to do a lot of research for a character who is still technically evolving, so it's not likely, but I'd certainly watch it if it happened.
For someone who talks about civil rights as much as Tulok does, he REALLY shouldn't be doing anything from a company that kisses so much Chinese government, anti-Hong Kong butt. It was bizarre that he did an entire special series with a focus on civil rights and threw an Overwatch character in there considering that was even the game all this bullshit started over, so we really shouldn't encourage any more. Shun the tyrants!

I would've gone Goliath. They're bigger and more Thanos.
I thought so too, but I see why he went Half Orc. Half Orcs get Relentless endurance, savage attacks and Menacing, giving him proficiency with Intimidation. Which Thanos has all of those things in stride.
Also he used Goliath for both Groot and Drax and that would be weird
