And yeah, the mythic system was dope, the gods in my 5e campaign are mostly ascended pathfinder characters :P

Well, there was that one time in the comics when he came back after becoming a god and then just giving it up.

@@grantbaugh2773 Because some studio people don't get that it's a family of Doctor Whos and not a team of crime fighters.
And some who do get it aren't sure audiences will and would rather just cash in on name recognition with a regular super hero movie.
That at least explains the "original" duology. I have no idea how 4ant4stic 4our happened. That didn't seem like a calculated playing to the audiences type of thing or a let's be true to the source material.
Doom should never show up in the first or even second movie of a FF franchise. He should just be alluded to and talked about, sorta like the did regarding the Hulk in the first Avengers movie.

Dr Doom needs his own movie, an origin story, where he's treated as a relatable but villainous protagonist overthrowing a more evil (but less competent) Latverian government and becomes more jaded and bitter each step of the way. Then, after one or two Fantastic Four movies, he can be introduced as if it was a crossover, where he's already built up as a major threat.

Hear me out, armorer artificer for 3, 17 in any wizard you want. You get some heals, like doom can, animate objects for doom bots, and punch people with your armor gloves for booming blade. So you look like a god in melee and are still a wizard at range!
Also you can grab the infusion armor thing that let's you use int for grappling/ strength checks.

Three levels in Artificer for the armour, and majority Wizard levels (probably Abjurer for the extra health), but also three levels in Conquest Paladin. The extra hp, bonus spells and Channel Divinity are all welcome, but the tenets of Conquest are right in line with Doom as a character too

Dr Doom is much cooler in the comics than the films. Yes. Love the LEGO footage! ;) The first Marvel Ultimate Alliance has great footage of him too.
I recommend more dictator builds. How about Shao Kahn, General Bison, and Dolores Umbridge? Heck we need more Harry Potter builds than just Snape.
OH OH OH speaking of charismatic guys in masks, how about V from “V for Vendetta” for a character build? He’d be perfect! He’s a bit like Batman, but uber charismatic and not just intimidating and dark and emo, but also hella persuasive and a godly performer. Maybe make him a dexterity-based oath of vengeance Paladin? Oh, and be sure to have him out on the 5th of November (a Thursday).
Mmmm... feels like a bard with college of whisper. He did convince all of england to rebel against tyranny with a single speech. Plus he’s roguish af. His order of stats could be Cha, Dex, Con, Wis, Int and Str
DeGeeno He probably has at least some Rogue (assassin or swashbuckler) and some bard (dunno enough about the different kinds of bards to make a judgement tbh). But c’mon... oath of VENGEANCE? It’s too thematically perfect to resist. I do agree with the order of stats, though dumping his intelligence and strength will be painful since he’s amazing at almost everything.
Definitely Bard (college of swords?), perhaps mixed with a bit of Monk to cover for the effects of the experimentation done on him.

-Grimlock as the Path of the beast barbarian (AFAIK, there are no trucks or VWs in DND, so he´s the only one that can transform)
-Bumblebee as a Dex fighter (scout?) or ranger maybe?
-Cliffjumper as a Swashbuckler rogue (Be prepared to roll a new character)
-Wheeljack as a wizard/artificer
-Jazz as a swords bard (maybe multiclassed into fighter, I don´t see him with high level spells)
-And Ratchet as a (life) Cleric. (Sometimes he´s depicted as an atheist towards primus, so his divine interventions would be summoning Omega Supreme or Metroplex)
How do you explain alt modes?

9:16 Okay, careful with talking about multiclassing spellcasters with Artificer. Unlike other half casters, you _round up_ half their class levels when determining the total spell slots you have. No other half caster does this. Just a heads up for anyone that does this for any other reason.

I wouldn’t describe Doom and Mephisto as “buddies”. Mephisto stole Doom’s mother’s soul and much of Doom’s arc has been about getting it back.
I love Tulok but he doesn’t seem to know much about Marvel other than the movies
Suggestion: Joseph Joestar
How I built it:
Race: variant human
Feats: mobile (the secret joestar technique)
Magic initiate (magic stone, because he does that to the bottle cap. Thorn whip, because that's essentially crazy hermit, long striker for extra secret technique)
Class: 15 monk, (way of the open hand) and rogue (inquisitive enhances your insight, making it easier to predict your opponents next line)
Loved your TENET and Doctor Who builds, can't wait for you to do them.
I'd say I feel confident with guessing the build for Doom but I've been confident before. I'm always wrong.
Race: Human, probably variant
Background: Either Scholar or Sage.
Stats:
- Intelligence: He's easily one of the smartest characters in all of Marvel.
- Charisma: Victor could probably scare you into having a heart attack and then convince you to forgive him if he wanted.
- Wisdom: When you delve as deep into science and magic as Victor you gain a new understanding of how the universe works.
- Constitution: You regularly survive fighting not only the Fantastic 4 but the Avengers and a host of other super beings.
- Strength: While you can physically compete with a surprising amount of these gods and monsters why do that when you can just out think them. By comparison you're playing 4-D chess with beings that can see the future, and they're playing go fish with a rock.
- Dexterity: You aren't exactly clumsy but being permanently encased in a suit of armor makes some activities somewhat difficult.
(Note, while he isn't an anime character I feel like Doom also lightly applies to the rule of relativity you occasionally bring up.)
Classes:
- Armorer Artificer: He built a suit of armor that can contend with aforementioned gods and monsters and makes some Iron Man armors look like toys in comparison.
- Some form of Wizard: Doom has science and magic in his suit, he's basically Doctor Strange + Iron Man and it isn't always clear if that specific laser was magic or science so just about any subclass could work. He likes shooting lasers at people so Evocation could work but he's also like Batman in that he's always prepared so Abjuration could work. He always tries to be 3 steps ahead of everyone else so Divination and their Portants could work. Like strange really any school could theoretically work for Victor but I'm going to guess War Magic. For being a super nerd he get's into the thick of things when he needs to.
Yep. What I got right: Armorer Artificer and race. What I got wrong, everything else. It does make me feel a bit better though that Tulok said there are like 4 classes that can work for Doom though.
14th level Abjuration Wizard, 6th level Armored Artificer for 9th level spells, heavy armor, intelligence for everything, and oh yeah advantage on every saving throw vs. spells and resistance to all damage caused by spells.

fun fact, in the comics he aint buddies with mephisto, quite the opposite, and when he got thrown back in time without his armor, he survived just waiting to the present day and killed and skinned a lion with his bare hands, honestly the closest u can get in dnd would be a high charisma and high int based combo artificer and sorcerer, though honestly the astetic of the clockwork soul is more about order and balance than being robotic, though an argument can be made that it fits since doom is always trying to gain absolute power is cuz he genuinely wants to make the world a better place and believes such a thing can only be a thing with it under his rule, very much a for the greater good arguably chaotic good in alignment kind of guy

Yeah! I been waiting for this. Doom is my favorite villain from Marvel, none of that Thanos "relatable" bs just unapologetically evil.
Which is funny because that's a movie invention. Comics Thanos is motivated by Da Nookie because he's trying to impress Death herself. Which at least makes SENSE as a goal, none of this "somehow eliminating half the life in the universe will make things better even though that cuts natural resources in half as well".
Also, Doom is right. The God of Wakanda can see every possible timeline and according to that divination, the ONLY timeline where a peaceful world happens is the one where Doom rules the world.
@@BJGvideos Yeah I was talking about MCU Thanos. Not to mention that because people dissappear at random there is the potencial to setback/dissappear an entire civilization. What happens if all the scientist of the world disappeared? Sure we still have books but most of us are too dumb to properly understand them.
Not sure 'evil' in any traditional sense fits the bill. Depends on what comics or issues you follow and what is retconned or not.
Doom is so great because in many ways he is the tragic hero AND the tragic villain AND the indifferent egocentric douchebag. It depends on the plot, perspective and the quality of the writers.

Henceforth you may do Conan, the Cimmerian, black-haired, sullen-eyed, sword in hand, a thief, a reaver, a slayer, with gigantic melancholies and gigantic mirth, to tread the jeweled thrones of the Earth under his sandaled feet. With my birthday coming up in January, and me being one of your first subscribers...😉, I think it is time to make a certain character. I think Dexterity may have been a more appropriate dump stat then Wisdom just from the Willpower that Doom has shown in the past (such as when he went unshielded to the Purple Man)
I know I've mentioned this before, but a double Aladdin build might be amusing. By that I mean 2 different builds of what are supposedly the same character in the same week. We have the Disney Aladdin, from the animated and live-action films of the same name, and anime Aladdin, from the manga/anime Magi. Magi has quite a few potentially interesting builds, like Sinbad (who has his own prequel spinoff anime to Magi with his name in it), Alibaba (proabably a Rogue/Warlock build), Morgiana (who was a literal slave before the story of the main series kicked off, and would probably be some kind of Monk build).
@tulok, if you're looking for robots, take a look at the create magan (I think is what it's called) seventh level wizard spell.
It came from rime of the frost maiden. Basically it lets you build a quasi mechanical construct that you can heal that can cast spells and use weapons and is really cool

Doom is the ultimate min-maxer PC:
master of science, master of robotics, master of magic, conquered an entire country, impervious to mind control, master martial artist, and his armor is even more ridiculous (made from titanium, has protection from magic, energy absorption, can’t be hacked, allows him to fly, force fields, even has pieces of the True Cross to protect against vampires)
Don't forget a molecular exspander
And take blasts from Thano's infinity gauntlet, absorb energy and so much more

Dr. Doom is one of the most powerful characters in marvel comics, glad you did him. Also really wish there was a better non comic depiction of Doom.
Episode #197 of the Fire Emblem stats: Victor Von Doom.
He's great with heavy armor (for obvious reasons), reason, faith (he fights with light, lightning, and teleports a bunch), brawling (iron fists hurt), and authority (as king of Latveria). He's not good with riding or flight because he's too arrogant to accept anyone's assistance.
His greatest stats are in charm, magic, and resistance and his only weak stat is his speed.
Attacking and dethroning God as a half-orc sounds fun, how would it go?
Pros: strength and con boosts early on make you pretty well rounded early on, relentless endurance will let you survive at least one otherwise fatal barbecue, plus, half-orcs are hot.
Cons: you don't really need strength that much, I guess?
Verdict: half-orcs are hot play a half-orc Dr. Doom

So, I just found out about a marvel character named Slapstick who is a living cartoon. He seems to have the same abilities that The Mask has so I'm wondering if either of them could be played as a dnd character. I'm leaning more towards The Mask because that could at least be attached to a cursed item or a patron of some kind.

Dr. Doom also became a multiversal God at one point, he basically mixed multiple universes together and could fully control someone's emotion, feelings etc (Like make Sue fully devoted to him). He "lost" because he essentially felt empty, he got everything he ever wanted but he felt hollow, and he basically lost on purpose; As he wanted to try being a hero.
He rivals Reed in being Marvel's Scientist Supreme and is a prime candidate for being the Sorcerer Supreme.
This might be the most accurate build you've ever made based on its weaknesses alone.

Unfortunate that this video came out before the DLC for Ultimate Alliance 3. Best representation of Doom by far.
Personally, I'd go Artificer Armorer and then heavily in Wizard, maybe just straight Wizard (maybe conjuration and reflavor elementals as Doombots?). The guy cast spells which feel like 9th level and his powers are more learned than innate. His INT is also definitely his highest stat, he's one of the smartest people on the planet. Totally agree with inspiring leader though.
Dr. Doom might be the leader of the fictional land of Latveria, but if it were real chances are he would interview with Anderson Cooper. Speaking of which... what if you did a build for Anderson Cooper?
