closer to my religion? that's what you was mean

The amount of respect I have for this woman is immeasurable
Been Muslim for 2 weeks now. Although it is overwhelming with learning a new language and just today after Jummah had my first experience of racism in the masjid 😂😅 I would like to say I believe I still made the right choice to follow only one god! I lost my girlfriend because they don’t support my decision to follow this beautiful religion many hardships have taken place after I’ve asked allah to do a whole 360 on my life. I just really think it’s crazy that your life can honestly change just from asking for help from the creator 😅
Hardships make you grow as a person. PS where are you from since it's such a bad stigma?

Best of luck for your beautiful journey ahead inshAllah !
Yasmin Mogahed wrote a piece about dealing with hardships, it’s really beautiful:
Without the existence of deprivation and loss, we couldn’t grasp the need for gratitude or the virtue of patience. And without separation, we wouldn’t taste the sweetness of reunion. Glory be to the one who gives-even when He takes
I still remember the desperation. In the deep disappointment which often follows self-reflection, I turned to my Creator to plead. I turned to plead - but not for what can be measured, bought, sold, or traded. It was desperation for a truer currency. With my flaws suddenly made open to me, I became desperate to be liberated from the tyranny of my own nafs (lower desires). I became desperate to be a better person.
And so, handing my heart to Allah (swt), I prayed that I might be purified. And while I had always held to firm faith that God is the Hearer of prayers, I never imagined when - or how - that prayer would be answered.
Soon after that prayer, I experienced one of the most difficult periods of my life. During the experience, I braced myself, and prayed for guidance and strength. But never did I see any connection to my previous prayer. It was not until that time had passed, and reflecting on it, I realized how I had grown. Suddenly I remembered my prayer. Suddenly I felt that the difficulty was itself the answer to the prayer I had made so desperately.
The words of Rumi explain beautifully: “When someone beats a rug with a stick, he is not beating the rug - his aim is to get rid of the dust. Your inward is full of dust from the veil of ‘I’-ness, and that dust will not leave all at once. With every cruelty and every blow, it departs little by little from the heart’s face, sometimes in sleep and sometimes in wakefulness.”

its actually refreshing to see when ppl use mind these days and don't blindly believe in everything...may Allah give you hidayyah , Aamen.
Moreover, watch and learn from Dr Israr Ahmed, Dr.Zakir Naik , Engineer Mohd Ali , Molvi Raja ziaulhaq and Nouman Ali khan ❤
Know that there is no place for racism in Islam 😊 muslims represent Islam but are imperfect at the same time and Islam is PERFECT ❤
I am not a Muslim, thing about reverting, but truly your videos have been so informative and inspiring and every day I learn more about Islam, my heart feels it, and my eyes start teering for some reason. Thank you for this video!
May Allah make it easy for you sister ❤️❤️

you're one of the best channels for muslim youth
As a muslim teenager, I just wanted to say that I LOOOOOVE your videos they're so sooo helpful. Also i wanted to ask : Could you make a podcast about salat ?
She already did it's called "I leave earth 5 times a day and you should too" in the firsts episodes
subhanAllah, I was just talking to my friend and mom about how I've seen non muslims make dua over their hair to grow
(as we were talking about the thinning of our hair of course) and how as muslims we get this shyness or embarrassment to ask Allah for even the simplest things. I was mentioning about not being embarrassed because, I've been ill since I was 15 (now 26) and I've lost tremendous amount of weight by almost dying a couple of times, and I specifically remember asking Allah please allow me to gain healthy weight and let me go back to my normal weight of 95 or the most 105. Right now I have gained my weight back alhamduliah, and I've been stuck at 105 and I'm sitting here thinking ya Allah I was so stingy in my dua, and I'll never do it again.
I am currently living out most of my duas and I wish people understood how lovely making dua is. Ive made dua to learn how to read arabic and I did but I struggled a bit, and Allah allowed me to learn by teaching kids at the masjid, I've been engaged before and I prayed istikhara, (which is such an important prayer and dua) and Allah has prevented from marrying someone I had such a hard time having a soft heart towards. Allah has protected me from harmful people when I asked him to. I asked Allah to allow me to learn tajweed and to travel for my knowledge of this deen and I'm currently learning tajweed and drive at least 30 mins away. When I say believe in your heart and be as specific as you can , I cannot emphasize it enough. I also have some tips for anyone because I always say Allah is my best friend truly after building such a close relationship with him.
1. for using the names of Allah I recommend Reflecting on the names of Allah by Jinan Yousef. I promise you it's life changing
2. Read your morning and evening athkar, and truly understand what you're saying. Barakah will come into your life in ways you never thought of, I recommend the fortress of a muslim on amazon.
3. Always make istighfar more than 100 times a day.
4. start off your duas with Allahs name, prayer on the prophet, and istighfar and then begin your dua. Always have conviction that Allah will answer or give you even better than what you asked for.
5.Make istikhara prayer and dua for all major/ minor things in your life, and understand that you are truly asking Allah to pick what is best for you in this dunya and akhira and for your deen. I promise you it has saved me multiple times. And please listen to how you feel about the situation, if you feel like it's pulling you away from Allah or you feel anxious or depressed, that is Allah showing you this is not for you. AND do not just pray it for a week and then think you got your answer pray it at least 3 times a day until you sign any papers, whether for marriage, buying a car, house, selecting a school. whatever the case may be do not stop praying it.
6. lastly, always be appreciative of everything Allah gave you. Allah says if you are grateful to him he will always increase you.
I hope this comment benefits someone ya rab
Thank you for taking the time to write all of this. I screenshoted it to read it later and think about it, JazâkAllahu khayran
Thank you الله يبارك لك❤

How do u pray istikhara?
@fries1609
Salam aleyki !
The prayer of consultation (istikhara) is a Sunnah and the invocation during this prayer is made after the final salutation, in accordance with what is reported in a noble prophetic hadith.
The way to do it is as follows :
- Pray two Rak'as (units of prayer) as in any other supererogatory prayer, read in each Rak'a the Fâtiha and a few verses from the Qur'an
- Then raise your hands after the final salutation and recite the following invocation which is transmitted in this regard:
Phonetic version : Allâhumma innî astakhîruka bi-cilmika wa astaqdiruka bi-qudratika, wa as-aluka min fadlika-l-cazîmi
Fa-innaka taqdiru wa lâ aqdiru, wa taclamu wa lâ aclamu, wa anta callâmu-l-ghuyûbi
Allâhumma in kunta taclamu anna hâdhâ-l-amra (that you explain it precisely) khayrun lî fî dînî wa macâshî, wa câqibati amrî fa-qdurhu lî, wa yassirhu lî, thumma bârik lî fîhi.
Wa in kunta taclamu anna hâdhâ-l-amra sharrun lî fî dînî wa macâshî, wa câqibati amrî fa-srifhu cannî, wa srifnî canhu
Wa qdur lî-l-khayra haythu kâna thumma arddinî bihi
English translation : "Lord, I come to take advice from Your knowledge and take strength in Your strength. I come to ask You for Your infinite generosity. For You are capable and I am incapable, You know and I do not know and you are the Great Knower of the unknown worlds. Lord Allah, if You know that this affair (and he names it precisely whether it is a marriage or a trip or something else) is for me a source of good for my religion, for my life here below and for my future destiny, destin it for me, facilitate its realization for me and bless it for me. And if you know that this affair is for me a source of evil for my religion, for my life here below and for my future destiny turn it away from me and turn me away from it. And predestine to me the good where it is found and inspire me with satisfaction."
[Cheikh 'Abdel-'Azîz Ibn 'Abdi-llâh Ibn Bâz]
So In summary you just pray 2 rakaa (the same as fadjr for example), than at the end to the the taslim (salam aleykum wa rahmatullahi), then pronounce the duaa written.
You can this prayer anytime except at times of the day when it is hateful to pray. And the best time to pray it, is in the last third of the night because ﷲ grant our duaa at that moment. If you don't speak Arabic you can search for a video on UA-cam to help your pronunciation. (be careful that this is not a video in which the duaa is recited with a singing voice and embellished because embellishing your voice when making duaa is a bida3a)
I hope this was useful! Don't hesitate if you have any question!
Hello Farah, it’s me again. I ‘m almost at the end of this video, Idk if you’re ever gonna read this but I just want to let you know that i’ve never felt more connected and grateful towards a person than I have towards you. Continue doing what you are, this podcast inspired me to pray and i’m gonna pray right now, subhanAllah. Thank you Farah, May Allah bless your heart, you deserve it.

the cute ‘that is a big no no in our religion’ after talking about manifestation took me out 😭

this dua helped me make new muslim friends who i would never trade for the world when i distanced myself from my old friends who werent good influences on me :) for the first few months, it did feel really lonely, but i realized it was because Allah wanted me all for Himself for me to return back to Him, He was testing me and He wanted me to make sure i was on this path only for His sake, and for me to get closer to Him by myself first, and build a connection with Him first before with His creations 🤍 it might take some time, but have patience, do not doubt in Allah's timing and in His response!

Watching your videos has really strengthened my deen and makes me feel like I have a bigger Muslim sister :) MashAllah
Ikr and that’s amazing I’m happy for you I hope you’re guided to hijab one day :)
Salam. I figure many of your listeners are sisters, but I'm a brother who came across this video in what seemed to be just the right time; I'm sure you're reaching people you wouldn't have thought. It got me emotional, thinking how I could ever ask for things being as sinful as I am, buto t this prompted me make dua and hence, I felt a lot better. Thank you for sharing this and may Allah increase your scale on the day of Judgment. BaarakAllah Feeki.
As-Salam-Alikum brother, though it may seem that farahs viewers and listeners are mostly the sisters, it does not discount the brothers also watch her videos.
I have been listening to these weekly videos of advice from farah for around 2 months. I've gained insight into things that I wouldn't ha e otherwise noticed. It's quite amazing how these videos have such a great impact.
May Allah(swt) guide us to the right path and grant us Jannatul-firdous. Make dua for yourself, for your family, for the muslim ummah, and for the Palestinians who suffer from the kafir attacks.
See you next week in the comment section Insha'Allah.
You made dua to help muslims and we made dua to be helped. Here we are. Alhamdulillah
I saw this video just when i needed it.
Farah, as a sister i just wanted to tell you that these podcasts are amazing. What you're doing is definitely being seen not only by the people, but also by Allah (swt).
I will make dua for you to go to Jannah inshaAllah.
May Allah always protect you ✨️

Thank you very much for this, this video was a sign from Allah for me. Your dua of helping Muslims via publically speaking on the internet resonates with me, may we be reunited in the afterlife Allahuma ameen.

Stop being so good at this stuff, you really are a great friend! Making me feel more and more parasocial by the day ^^^ 😅
I love that you make eye contact with the camera. Feels like you’re really sitting here with me expressing this beautiful message. Thank you for having the courage to be you and tell us your thoughts 💗I have been listening for a short time but you have already had a profound impact. Thank you.

this made me cry so much thank you
I agree so much in the ego part,
we're too involved in the physical life and the practical ways,
that we don't do Duaa enough,
we're ignoring how fragile and small we're in this big and complicated world!
you make me think of the actual meaning of dua and actually from now on i decided to make more dua. may allah bless you
Please i made many duas this school year, i have even prayed tahajjud and none of them have been answered, i have even cry because i have always been a top student and i had this year the worst grade ever in my whole life but i trust Allah, i know he did that for reason
farah you got me crying, I love these talks and wish I could have it with people near me. Thankfully I have good Muslim friends as well who I can talk about this stuff but it means so much to just hear it here too. Honestly this life is nothing at the end of the day and I’m grateful for everything Allah has given me and InshAllah will continue to give. I wish all my brothers and sisters the best and remember to keep making dua and build a relationship with Allah.

What a wonderful episode as usual I really admire how well educated you’re, I really get emotional at every single episode about Islam thank you so much for this farah اسم على مسمى you bring literal farah and joy, I hope you talk about god’s 99 names in one of the episodes 🤍 may god bless you, an actual source of inspiration.
The amount of peace you bring to me is incredible. I can not thank you enough for your words. I wish you all the happiness in the world may Allah be with you in every step of your life.

thank you for this priceless info🙏
i am amazed how her duas of last ramadan became true and now im seing myself being affected by her podcast and feeling motivated by it we are all connected through duas and allah subhana lah
Hey Farah, love your videos as always! Can u make a video on mental health (depression, ADHD, and more) ? All of us struggle with it a lot and I would love to hear a religious perspective on it ❤️
The thing about adhd connected with mental health, when it comes to the spiritual journey as muslims. It is such a underrated topicc in the muslim community. Espeshally if you are underdiagnosed, nurotipical muslims dont even knoww wallahi! If you watch a video about dr Russel Barkley for example he talks about how the adhd brain grows slower in different parts of the brain in a lifetime, how we connect with Alla swa is soo different from other people, it cant be working on arabic one hour each day, but we have to make it exciting for people. Thats difficult when thinking that most of us from immigrant families are expected to watch over our own spirituslity, I realized that if we properly polish the adhd muslim we can make muslims that are the epitome of society and amazing slaves of Allah swa.
We missed the prayer isdal it just brings the VIBE ❤
Love y from morocco 🇲🇦
I really needed this farah, May Allah bless you immensely with Jannah Al-Firdous

These talk just made me realize what i have been searching. While we do need guidance on what's halal and haram and what not. Sometimes we need peer to peer friendly chats about the beauty of islam. It's refreshing to listen/watch this after hearing lectures and seminars. Subscribed!
May Allah bless you my older sister. Allah has blessed you with great speech and I love the way you explain these concepts. I was so moved that I shed some tears too.
