As a girl gamer since age 6, I'll give my own list. -halo if you want to start into shooter game territory. Story brilliant. Followed by borderlands. -zelda -pokemon -witcher 3 -mass effect (probably start with #2 and then go 1,2,3. Avoid andromeda.) -pikmin, it's very cute and strategic -rdr2, give them 2 hours on their own and they'll love it. -Life is strange, life is strange 2 and before the storm. Probably also the new one coming up. -Assassins Creed, any. -Heavy rain and/or Beyond two souls. Detroit become human also a good one, same creators. -Conkers bad fur day, for a classic.
@ReneeAlexander-v5q xbox if you prefer comfortable play (controllers a bit more comfortable), and like playing multiplayer. Playstation if graphics are more your style. Both consoles are great on their own ways.
Yah this doesn't really work considering you starting playing early. This video is for getting your 20-30 yr old wife to try games for the first time. Imagine a new gamer trying to figure out half of those you listed. They can't use both sticks so count that out, and it can't be too chaotic. Most everything you listed wouldn't work apart from life is strange... But that's not a real video game, that's a fucking book.
I’ll probably just end up messing around with the portal gun to introduce her to the mechanics of the game and maybe will try to beat through the story but I have a hard time not immediately solving the puzzles from memory or figuring it out really quickly so I’m probably gonna need to see what she thinks
I'm considering buying my first ever console and Zelda, Mario Kart and Animal Crossing are the games I'm most drawn to. Since I don't have pretty much any gaming experience I like games that are visually pleasing and that have enough breathing space to really learn the mechanics. Or something I can play with someone who can help me get better.
Animal crossing wild world on my nintendo DS got me into gaming (however now like 20 years later I'm still mostly drawn to casual games like stardew valley or Mario). Maybe I'll give some of your recommendations a shot this christmas break!
stay away from destiny. just dont do it. run away. you will be entertained for about a week because the gunplay is legitimately good, and then get tired of the in game purchase advertisements and the utterly cowardly writing (the new cloud big bad enemy is soooooo fucking lame, both design and storywise). play deep rock galactic, helldivers or gunfire reborn. all of them are indies and all of them are better than shilling for bungie. if you really want, play the master chief collection. if you liked doom, you'll probably really like that, and its from a time when bungie still had some integrity. i understand i sound biased but i don't care. listen to me. -sincerely, a concerned woman who wants you to have a good gaming experience
great video :)) my earliest gaming memory was after coming to america at 3yrs old back in 2002, we visited the metreon playstation store in san francisco, literally a kid’s dream. half-life 1998 was an amazing experience, bad video game graphics will always have a special place in my gamer heart.
I found a guy on a dating app. And he was a gamer, I informed him that i wanted to start gaming and asked for some suggestions. I'm sure that guy watched thia video and came to me suggesting 'Portal' now I'm into this game as hell and I can't play but I can't quit. I spend days and days to finish a chamber.
One thing I’ve been trying to do with my girlfriend is get her to understand my view of gaming and how I can zone out for hours on Skyrim or fallout but I haven’t really had enough time to sit down and have a proper gaming session with her like I’ve made plans to play Mortal Kombat with her, but I’ve always wanted her to be part of the single player adventure like tell me where to go and what to do and I’ll ask her things if I should do things because it’s always fun playing a game through someone else, even though they lack the skills to operate the controls because learning the game is the first 12 hours of playing any game but I have over 300 hours in Skyrim so I know what did you already but she’s a casual gamer who is barely played games casually but I have been playing the walking dead telltale game with her and she seems to be really interested in that and same with goat simulator but I want to get her involved with the RPG part of things I’ve been considering playing Sims four with her, but she doesn’t know much about the Simpson. I don’t know much either. It’s hard to teach when you’ve only have like a collective of 20 hours. But then, when you have over 300 hours it’s extremely hard to know what a new player understands when you have spent a large chunk of your time playing the game and understanding the Laurent mechanics and how the game operates but I think playing Mortal Kombat and castle crashers would be a good start in Minecraft too because she’s a casual Minecraft player but hasn’t got any other treatment so maybe I could run through the Minecraft basics and teach her how to survive
I think minecraft is a great start, offers a lot of gameplay elements and its pretty chill to just sit and hang out! Sims could be fun! Learning together might actually be a good way to do it honestly, both sound like good starts.
when getting someone into a game for the first time, most important thing is to let them explore on their own and learn. if you control everything they wont have fun, let them fall off a cliff, accidentally aggro a monster and get their first successful kill. This is from experience when my husband was trying to get me to play. Its definitely easy to tell them what to do and what not to do but they wont have as much fun, let them make their own discoveries, and mistakes and be there to celebrate it with them. goodluck! PS: photo-sensitivity, and motion sickness is one of the turn off for non-gamers. Check those settings first thing!
I think DOTA 2 should have been the number 1 game. No grinding, no need for precise aiming and twitch reflexes, and you get to socialise with a colourful cast if characters and fellow players online 😂
That's honestly kinda crazy. I tried to get my wife into it. We played one game together and won and she quit, opting to end with a 100% win record lolol.
nobody realy introduced me in games, but somehow, 3 years ago I started to play Long Dark and I totally love it. I love open world exploration, with minimum killing, up to 0 if you want to, and amasing view, and a pretty nice story. I also apprecite that Hinterland is a small company, that stais in touch with the cumunity. I recomand it, and I wold like to discover other games. I am a little bit frustrated due my lak of abilities with the keyboard. I am an romanian writer, and I have no problems to write fast, but I still watch the keyboard while doing it. So now I am looking for a game that have few keys to press, but not as few as long dark. I wold like to be challenget a little(just a little) but enought to get me use with more than basic controls
Dang the long dark!? That's actually wild for a first game. I commend you on playing that, I avoid survival games lol. I'll try and recommend some though, Astroneer is one. Starbound. Outer wilds is insanely good. And No Mans Sky. Mind you, I've never played any of them, just know about them! I hope you find something that you like! Thanks for watching btw 🙃
heres a hint, girls like to read. give a girl a narrative based game. i never would have been interested in any genre if i had not first delved into the story heavy worlds of old bioware.
I learned it takes time. Especially if gaming wasn't apart of their lives. It weird in 2023 that gaming still has a negative connotation to it. >< Good luck!
I was able to get my girl into casual gaming so far she loves galaga (she’s extremely good makes me look terrible) I modded her childhood Wii so she plays that a ton we have all the guitar hero’s and rock bands for Wii and ps2 got all the Mario’s Wii and before anything from Mario sluggers to OG NES and aside from having every Nintendo game that matters we have physical consoles and games too after getting her to try out a lot I gotta say Mario party superstars, Mario kart, guitar hero, and Wii sports are still her go to haha but she also likes Spyro and galaga for playing by herself. I cannot for the life of me beat her in Wii sports.
lol not really my type of games i prefer zombie games and shooters but nice video! Can you make a video how to be friends with other gamer girls, it seems like not many girls play sniper elite 4 only the dudes sadface
I am a wife of a gamer. I watched but nothing of this list seems fun. I played Sea of Thieves with my husband after he begged me to play, thought it was fun but now since the new season he does not like it anymore and want me to play Tarkov but I hate killing others in gaming. Thought I would find something we could play together in this video as he is begging me but there is litteraly nothing. Anyone has advice on something fun like sea of thieves for me? Help
You could try deep rock galactic. Its a co op game where you plays as dwarves mining in caves. Grounded is another chill co op base building survival-esque game. Same with Raft or potentially No Mans Sky.
those are the games that are easy to get used to so I don't agree with you. My girlfriend has loved few of those games, she is playing lotta games now but still don't like FPS or Survivals.

Devil May Cry, it’s just a shut your brain off action game!

@ReneeAlexander-v5q xbox if you prefer comfortable play (controllers a bit more comfortable), and like playing multiplayer. Playstation if graphics are more your style. Both consoles are great on their own ways.
Killer Instinct is a great game to get someone started on fighting games. smashing keys will give you long combos.

loveee life is strange !! love to see it mentioned
What’s crazy about this list is.. I tried most of them before watching this video. My wife actually likes Destiny the most
I need a game my wife can play while totally ignoring the screen and staring at her phone.
“Who doesn’t wanna keep cute little murder pets?”
😂
Dying over here! 3:29
I got into borderlands and hands down it’s the only game I’d wanna play again, as long as my bf backs me up 😭
Borderlands is a great game! I totally forgot🫣 I didn't play it with my wife because she didn't really like the art style
Luckily for my husband I already liked gaming before I met him
you right, he is lucky lol
Day 900 of conning my wife into playing civ 6...
I’ll probably just end up messing around with the portal gun to introduce her to the mechanics of the game and maybe will try to beat through the story but I have a hard time not immediately solving the puzzles from memory or figuring it out really quickly so I’m probably gonna need to see what she thinks
Yeah the puzzles can be tedious, but the fun is messing with the portal gun =) Good luck!

Those are 3 solid options tht will cover a lot of gaming elements! If you get it, I hope you find it awesome!
Girl here
Portal makes me motion sick
I def didn't take that into consideration🫣
I thought the title says games to get a girl/girlfriend/find a girlfriend in games
Then I read it again and realised 😢
Nooo 😭
Animal crossing wild world on my nintendo DS got me into gaming (however now like 20 years later I'm still mostly drawn to casual games like stardew valley or Mario). Maybe I'll give some of your recommendations a shot this christmas break!
Ayee thanks for watching! I hope at least one is good =)
I started with Sonic, Spawn and Doom and graduated to GTA. Now I want to get into gaming again. Destiny sounds promising.

They’d rather play mind games with us instead of actual games.

I hope it worked out!

I play all of these games constantly and try to get my boyfriend into it with all of these games you’ve mentioned (and it worked)
aye! that's great! im trying to get my wife to play Marvel Rivals when it comes out, hopings its a bit more chill than overwatch

It's great..... But you'll find out VERY quickly if you have communication issues in your relationship.
I will try "Untitled Goose Game" with my SO. I think that is a good game for sb with a dark soul who never was into gaming.
