I was fortunate enough to play on one of these recently. It’s surprisingly versatile. It absolutely does Mark T in spades, but the nature of his tone preferences really make for a well rounded amp design. His ear is solid. He was a part of the R&D with Doug at PRS. Great playing man, thanks for showing it in a different light, it really helps with buyer perception.
THANK YOU for the 'no effects' demo. Seems these days people 'review' how their obnoxiously large pedalboard sounds through an amp, while caring nothing about the amp's sound/performance.
I got mine early May before everyone else for some reason...(not complaining though!) Clean channels AMAZING. I keep the boost pulled out most of the time. It just sounds freaking good. It's got some real snap to it, almost percussive and I love it! Couldn't be happier!!
I don't play metal style guitar, but got to play this amp at the Music Tent at the Bourbon and Beyond festival and LOVED the sound with the PRS guitar that they had there (I have a CE 24). They don't have one at my music store here, but I might have to get one.
16 ohm! Why did they have to make it 16 ohm! Just got this and a mesa 2x12 that turned out to be an 8 ohm cab I have 2 choices for a 2x12 ans one is the evh cab 🤬
I don't see that as a bad thing when you've got two good tricks. A lot of people is looking for an amp with good cleans and a good distortion, as basic as it sounds its actually not easy to find in this luchbox format and at this price point ;)
I find it works great with everything and I have gotten great feedback across the board. It is way more than a two trick horse and sounds even better through a 2x12 with v30’s.

Thanks dude!!

Just ordered one of these rigs arriving soon. Definitely glad to see a focus on the clean/not so high gain channel. Thanks man
Absolutely fell in love with the mt-15 and got one myself. It’s a banger amp
I am loving mine. Running through my 2x12 with v30’s.
I'm thinking of buying the same equipment as yours. Do you think they are valid for numetal?

Good vid! Now i need a similar one for all the other lunchbox amps in this price range and i might be able to finally decide which one i want :D
SOLD! Living 10 minutes from Sweetwater is EXPENSIVE!!!

Good to see a proper workout on the clean channel as opposed to all the gainiac videos out there.
If I want to play this style, what would you recommend I practice or start with? Who’s songs would you recommend I learn? Thanks!
Everything sounds muddy without a pick.
how's the facials..👌
not a treble boost
It says boost on the amp on the treble button ...
Correct - ua-cam.com/video/Mcq2xFrDExA/v-deo.html
@@Guitargate it's a gain boost that happens to be on the treble pot.
Not just a metal amp, huh?
Michael - is the speaker cab enough to use live as well? Or are you using something else?
Nope. Using the matching cab this weekend.
Was is enough power?
@@brendanmorris9561 I test it with my band and in half power it's enough to play with a loud drummer.... so with 15 w.... you can do everything!!!
Does it take pedals well ?
Yes
Better late than never.lol.
Wish that dirty channel would clean up a bit more. Too high of gain even at its lowest setting
You’ll only sound like Mark Tremonti if you play his riffs.

If I'm not mistaken, you can do 16 and 8
@@Hellion421 8 ohm parallel so you should run it into 2 cabs no idea what running into one does
@S Paul Guitars thats to change the amp from 7 watts to 15 watts
@RockerRobin it is also for 8 Ohm. On the Backside is written: 1x 16 Ohm on the one jack and 1x 8 Ohm OR 2x 16 Ohm on the other ones
@@Rockerrobin you can connect one 16 ohm cab or two 8 ohm cabs in parallel.
Nice try brother but the MT15 still comes off as a two trick horsey, clean or mean but nothing in between.

yeah, because it's the intention. It's pretty much Tremonti signature amp and he plays high gain or clean, he's not bluesy rock type player.
As opposed to every other 15-watt lunchbox amp?
You could just get a blues driver to throw in front of the the clean channel...
wont be liking or subscribing to a channel where a guy finger picks a rectifier style gain amp nope nope nope
I like to see how picks and fingers sound on any amp!
Kelly Jackson
So what? You sound like a crybaby.
@@Guitargate look at mike now, he's famous! also using thinner picks now....
@@TheEchelon Its just my opinion/choice and I don't dive a fuck about yours u half wit troll.
@@Guitargate Thats fine, umm but the whole video? I mean you could've said 'Finger picking guitar through a PRS MT-15 ' You know, expectations.
sterile
I’m probably the only one but I think it sucks. There are many better sounding options especially if you play blue/country.
