Stumbled upon your channel while trying to learn about Cambodia. Love how genuine your videos are. Goodluck with your journey, mate. -Much support from Malaysia!
Hi mate! I am glad you are happy in Cambodia and you have changed your life for the best. Keep it up and be happy always. Your Khmer is really good. Please try to make more friends with the locals. They are very nice. Take care mate. Thank you for sharing ❤❤
Good advice! I was wanting to download an app for learning Khmer, while I'm still in the US, but I think possibly it would be better to interact with the lovely people there. Saves me money, and possibly learning incorrect pronunciations. 🙂
Thank you for watching. Learning anyway before you arrive will benefit you to be honest. Just put yourself out there once you arrive here and test your pronunciations, that's the only way to get better. Good luck and god bless 🙏
@@janeenkledlow5419please don't be to try to speak khmer to the local. Even though they'll laugh that doesn't mean they laugh you off but it's just the opposite that they think you're cute and lovely to hear you trying to speak our language. Every foreigners that try to speak our language have cute accent and we know they try 😉
Can you show us around some of the second hand bike shops and show what kind of motorbikes are available at different price points and more Khmer lessons please?
23 Vowels- seems not to bad. You say 'tones' , as compared to Thai i thought there were zero tones pls correct me as I can find no evidence. When I hear it it sounds 'tonal' but everything i read says its not. its intetestjng you say it is.
Aye oop Royal! 😉Former booty meself, just come across your channel and subbed. Been looking at alteratives to Thailand to retire,ie Phils and Cambodia in next few years,so doing loads of research. Cambodia looks hoofing👍i gave up booze 8 months ago,was wondering if its still possible to do naked bar sober?😜😂Seriously though, glad to see you're doing ok mate, keep up the good work! PMPT😎👌
Haha hello mate, thanks so much I appreciate it. Always good to have another bootneck on here, naked bars aren't possible sober I'm afraid haha. Well done for staying sober, feels doesn't it? Take care pal, thanks again 🙏
Mr luke, you have never mentioned why you chose cambodia and svay out of all the other options. I’m curious about that, and have you seen spirited away?
I chose Cambodia because there was a good deal on a TEFL course and I wanted to move ASAP. Plus with me not having a degree my options were limited, although there are loopholes in the system I just wanted to play it safe. Plus I was drawn to the place, especially the temples. I’ve always enjoyed nature and places to relax, I’ve seen spirited away yes haha. Nothing is as good as attack on titan though 🙌🏻
@@SavedinSvay ahh good for you. I’m not really into shonen/action anime so i dont really have an opinion about aot. You should watch A silent voice, it broke me like a wrecking ball

Hi luke xx
Great video! Great you’re learning the language. I’ve lived abroad and speaking the local language opens up so many doors and is a lifesaver at times.
Thank you mate, I totally agree. Hope you're well wherever you are.

My pleasure brother, thank you so much for watching 🇺🇲👊
You should be tour guide for Svay… any westerners want to visit for few days…
Nice tips, and your khmer is getting better, you should try to converse with someone.
I'll do a vog eventually, maybe practice it at the market, thanks mate.
Good luck!
I don’t have any addictions , I don’t suffer from mental illness ,
But I just enjoy Cambodian, for what it is ,

Good for you mate, well done.

Hello mate, that's a really good suggestion and I'll put it in the pipeline. Ber with me though because there's not many of them in Svay.
Would you be able to show your accommodation, maybe a tour, or show what to expect for the budget etc? Thank you !
I will once I've moved into my new place. Accommodation really varies depending on where you are. Either way it's a good deal compared to the UK or US

No lol
what made you choose cambodia bro?
It's the least materialistic life mate.

Why did you choose Svay instead of Phnom Penh or the other bigger cities?
I like it here, it's relaxed. It can be too relaxed I'll admit. Maybe in the future I'll move.
